Just Brittney the owner works there. It was so relaxing that when I tired to get off the table I had a hard time b/c I was so relaxed from my 90 min facial. I am glad she had walked out b/c I am sure I might have looked intoxicated. Brittney was calm, cool and collected with such a soft voice and touch. She was friendly and kind. My skin looks amazing today. I had not had a facial in quite a few years. I also liked that she didn't try to upsell me or pressure me into buying products. She does have them available but I was not given the normal sales speeches a lot of places give you, which to me is a plus. I have already told my friends about her place who live in other cities in middle TN and they want to come do a spa day with me at Advanced Skin. Brittney, I loved my facial and getting to know you. Also, she was the only one in the Salon and it was almost end of the day. Her customer service relationship skills are pretty good. It might be pricey service after tax and stuff but it's worth pampering your skin. I've been here for 2 years and after reading in particular the poor reviews... felt the need to share my experiences. This studio is such a comfortable and safe place. They have complimentary drinks and have comfortable seating when waiting. The rooms are nice and clean with a comfortable bed. Especially if you are getting more than one area waxed. All of the staff are welcoming, considerate of your needs, and polite. Concerning the negative reviews, no I have never been offered incentive to leave a good review. They let you look and give you a mirror to check if there are any hairs left on your body. If you see some speak up. I had a time, not with Micah, where I saw some hair and the esthetician was more than happy to wax that area. Pain? Seriously, it's a wax and they do hurt. Everyone's pain tolerance is different but they are in no control over your pain. Overall, I recommended this studio to many of my friends who have told me that they thoroughly enjoyed their experience. Not everyone's experience is the same, but I couldn't be happier with this studio and Micah.

As a blonde, it can be especially difficult communicating in the same language as your stylist regarding tone and color (it's always smart to bring photo reference!), but Lauren asked all the right questions, made sure she was clear in her understanding of what I wanted, and even gave me an estimated price before beginning. Not only all that, but she's a really calm, warm, and kind human being and a pleasure to chat with. I was not her only client during my appointment, but she juggled perfectly and I was never waiting for her to "come back". She humorously called it doing "hair traffic control".
