Pro Nails used to be my favorite nail salon. But over the past couple years they have gone downhill. I suck with them for a while, but nothing is improving. They're always in a rush, when I get my nails done it's to relax and enjoy. The last straw was when I told them I wanted short oval nails. They said sure & to come on back. They put the whole set on, started to shape them and then said this is as short as we can go. Which was not short AT ALL. I argued a bit, because before I sat down, I showed them a picture and how short I wanted them & they said they could do what was in the pic! But to put on the whole set, THEN to say, nope can't do that?! Noooottttt cool. I'm done. read more

Their pedicures always seem so rushed. You don't have time to enjoy it. When having nail service it doesn't seem to be as hurried.

I am not sure why this place has such low reviews. I have been in Columbia since June 2024 and tried another place that I went to a few times and was just not thrilled so this time I tried Pro Nails. It's big, spacious and clean. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and the recognized I had never been there before which was cool. I went on Feb 9th and it was pretty full. I sat down on a chair to wait for service and then was promptly asked what I was there for, which was a pedi so they told me to go back to the chairs. They have the nicest massage chairs I have seen in a while. I used it while waiting on a tech to start my pedi. My tech person was named Tina and she was super sweet. Once again, I was not pressured into upselling at all, which I loved. She gave me the perfect pedi, she was gentle and kind. Checking out was a breeze too. I always get nervous because my bank does not have a branch in Columbia so I rarely have cash on my and they made it so easy to tip on your card. I will ABSOLUTELY NEVER be back. Nail tech mango leaves vapes next to me as he does nails AND I rather let a toddler do my nails then let these people with expired licenses on there walls work on my nails again. I only asked 8x for them to follow the photo, and I only had to ask them 5x to clean them up after nail polish (acrylic) was left everywhere and UNDER my nails. Did chrome and left the glitter EVERYWHERE did NOT cut my cuticles, they did not shape my nails. Did I mention I only got a fill for my acrylics and got charged double then last time and last time I had more design! Tried to charge me $75 for a FILL! I asked a manager for them to be touched up and cleaned or a refund and got the COPS called on me all because I was upset wanting my nails cleaned up. I have absolutely no problem taking my money else where to find someone who is actually reliable. Did I mention it took them 2 hours to do and they couldn't even do a French tip correct? Lines are uneven Uncleaned nails. TERRIBLE. Denied my gems on my hands when they had them and denied me chrome when I had it last time by the same person! Think twice before u come here ALSO did I mention they pulled my nails off last time with a credit CARD!!!!! They also kept telling me they were gonna do what they wanted to do to replace everything in the photo! NEVER coming back here again!!!!!!! Worst service I have ever received from a nail shop. Tech was sloppy, unprofessional and rude. She did not do any part of the service correct and got angry when I called her on it and asked her to correct her errors. She was rolling her eyes, shaking her head and then began to talk mad crap about me to the other employee beside her. Google translate told me all the despicable things she was saying about me when she was the one supposedLu preforming a service. I wanted to give 0 stars... Well I'm 35 weeks pregnant so I'm having trouble reaching down to take care of my feet. I went to pronails cause I can't bend down to see my feet well enough- afraid I may nic myself. Well, I should have just done it myself. The girl doing my feet cut my foot and I went through 4 bandaids even after I left pronails. They still wanted to charge me the full amount even though 1) she cut my big toe 2) I didn't get any polish and 3) she cut them so short the tips of my toes are sore even in my dang socks... came in last night around 6pm. just wanted a simple pink with cow print on the ring fingers. I always get the exact same thing. Nail tech was SUPER rough that I ended up bleeding on 2 fingers from the drill. He was using the drill on my skin and hurt so much. He was more focused on his phone than getting my nails right. after I left I noticed he did not put the top coat on one hand, the design so is nowhere close to what I asked for and I had a picture that I show everytime and they always do it perfectly. my nails are super lumpy and all different shapes! super disappointed! read more

Did a second visit to Pro Nails in Neely Plaza, to be fair and give the location another opportunity to impress. Well, they did, but not a positive experience. I didn't buy into the "upsale" pitch and immediately afterward, the technician's attitude was abrupt and rushed to finish. Less than 12 hours later, my nail polish is flaking off. I did contact the salon and they at first told me "Is because you only got regular manicure, not special gel". When I asked why they sale regular manicures if they are not good, they offered to "redo" my nails. That is appreciated, but a waste of time. Don't recommend this salon, unless you are going for the top package. Then not sure either. read more

excellent pedicure n manicure for granddaughter- HoWEVER Most unfriendly and inhospitable nail salon ever been to. nail technician only spoke " be still" n " what color you want " and ". this color out" Never one word of salutation, , not one question, / your name- how old are you, no conversation period with me or my granddaughter, until when asked if I paid her or up front , she said " pay me" n yes I made a comment or two to try to engage- no words, However spoke with her fellow technicians numerous times. matter of fact, I only observed one technician barely converse with one customer out of about 9 technicians. Only gave 1 star because I had too. This was the filthiest nail salon we have been to. Didn't pay attention to it at first but once we started we noticed the grime and dirt on everything! The hot towel they lay over your legs is supposed to be white but it was actually a sewer brown water color. New to town and came in for a basic pedicure. Front desk was very nice, was wearing a mask and I saw her wipe down numerous chairs. Patrons were not required to wear masks so myself and maybe 40% or so of others were wearing them along with the staff. Color selection is ok but no recognizable polish names. I thankfully brought my own. The pedicure itself was very basic. He didn't get all of the rough skin off the bottom or sides of my feet. He was very rough with the brush on my feet. Massage was better than some but didn't ask if I needed more or less pressure. Paint job looks fine but it's still drying so I won't know more until later. I have gone to this nail salon for over a year and a 1/2. The service that Is provided is adequate. Thang (usual tech.) Does a good job. However on more than a few occasions I book an appointment on line only to find he us not @ work when I get...like today. I hate leaving poor reviews but I have given this place so many tries and I'm never satisfied. I get dip nails and they only last a week and a half at best. The dip is either peeling from my nails or they're done so thin that they chip. Today was my final straw. The person doing it knocked my skin on almost every finger and then cut my nails waaaaay shorter than the nail size I showed and wanted , the dip is uneven, and my nails are all uneven in length. read more

So very pleased with my visit today. I was passing through town, first time here and usually every time I go to a nail salon I feel like I'm ordering Starbucks. This time however the two ladies who took care of me did the most excellent job I've had in a long time! Though I struggle with specifying what I want when I get my nails done they made sure every detail was perfection. My nails are natural looking, thin and perfect length for me! It's been such a long time since I have walked away truly happy with my experience; I can't help but rave over this visit. Both ladies were patient, kind and had the best attitude the whole time. Made an appointment online a week in advance. Showed up, checked in sat down. Noticed signs on the walls that state walk-ins may get pushed back due to appointments (makes sense) however, we watched as numerous walk-ins were seated for manicures and pedicures (they stated they didn't have an appt- I'm not just assuming.) so, we notify them that we have appts and they proceed to seat us in pedicure chairs (without any water) and walk away. Nobody checked on us and we continued to watch others come and go. After wasting an hour we decided to walk out. This place is apparently popular for their attention to detail and ability to do decorative nails but our experience was all bad. They were rude, inattentive and they don't honor appt times. I went this past Saturday about 10am. i did not get in a chair until about 1130, I had my cousins funeral to attend in Alabama @ 5pm that day. i showed my nail tech a pic of what i wanted, and how i wanted my nails even the shape. He kept telling me "make them square" when he was finished, i was livid with how my nails looked,, i did not have time to get them fixed that day bc of the funeral, so on Monday afternoon after work, i walked back in, told the manager/owner what happened,showed him the picture, and showed him my nails bulging at the tips,, he said sorry, we cant fix, should have fixed on Saturday. I reiterated to him that i kept telling the nail tech what i wanted and he kept doing what he wanted, and i did not have time Saturday to "stay and have it fixed" I am so livid. i spent $70 on my nails and to get my toes "painted" and they dont want to help make this right? The lady was just trying to speed me out of there as quickly as possible. I had to request cuticle softening multiple times and cut my own cuticles because she nicked me with every stroke. Never going back here. They don't know how to do dip nails. Not sure why they offer it as an option if they do not know how to do it. My nails turned out uneven and see through. The nail length on both hands were uneven and when I asked her to fix a nail she said they were the same even though they clearly were not. The dip on one of my nails was completely scratched off and instead of fixing it she just filed it shorter. She did not take the time to buff the ends of my nails so they are extremely rough and jagged. I do not recommend going here. read more

I went in for a well needed Pedi. I asked for French with a silver line. Aftr asking over 10 times for my silver line, the person doing my toes said I was done with no line. I think she did not know what I was asking for and instead of getting someone else for me to explain what it was I wanted I was sent on my way. we went to get three gel manicures. As walk ins we expected to wait. Not 3 hours!!! We were there over 2 when I said something to receptionist. She said we were next but still took more people in front of us. Anyone getting a pedicure went ahead of everyone then their technician wanted to complete the service so those people got manicures ahead of others who waited longer. Last time ever. I swear. Went in on a Sunday for a pedicure and dip french manicure with tips. They do the pedicure. An hour, I'm asking to please start soaking my hands. Get to manicure and soak off..now three hours in. I have been here several times, always seeing the same tech. When I went in yesterday, they just said he wasn't there, would not qualify if it was a vacation, or if he was gone. gone. (it could be the severe language barrier with this particular guy, named "Jim") But I decided to go ahead and let him put a set of nails on. It was horrible. He didn't listen (or couldn't understand), he glued the white tips on crooked, and about a third of the way up my nail bed giving the appearance of stubby crooked fingers.... over filed so bad that my fingers were too sore to even make dinner last night. They are the worst looking nails I have ever had, and I will not be back. Maybe he's just a bad seed, but it was a poor enough experience that I won't risk it again. read more

The nail tech ("Thi Thi" I believe her name badge read) never smiled, said very little to me, mostly pointed to my feet when she was ready for me to take in and out of the water soak. She barely trimmed my cuticles and didn't push the cuticles back at all. She used nippers to trim some skin on the side of one of my big toes and cut so deep I said "ouch!" out loud. She mumbled something that I don't know if it was an apology or a scolding. She did ask if I was okay. She mumbled something to me as I paid but I don't think it was "thank you". I did not tip her. I called and made an appointment as I was instructed to do. The owner ignored me and went with his 2pm appointment even though I was there at 1pm and I wasn't Seen until 2 and half hours later. They treated me as if I didn't have money. I asked for a certain shape and style and got crap. I can't wait to buy some acetone to take these off.
