if i could give a negative review i would! do not go to top nails in columbia the owner acts like a child storming off when you ask why the price has changed! i was charged for a soak off i only had polish on my toes nothing was soaked off screwed up my friends nails she gets arcylic on her real toe nails and the lady ripped them off! after repeating to her they were real nails they always soak the acrylic off she ignored her i tried to speak to the manager he just walks off we waited two and a half hours for service very unprofessional as she's a regular customer will not return don't recommend such a waste of money and time read more

The people here were VERY nice and welcoming , this place has an overall chill vibe. BUT.. they tore my nails . They tore 2 of my finger nails while removing my last set, cut my big toe. They don't even have straight tips. When the lady glued the tips on there was glue everywhere I was picking it off me for days. She seemed a little irritated when I told her she was hurting me, which is kind of a red flag. But my nails don't look that bad I guess , just my honest review. read more

This establishment should be called Bottom Nails. There's nothing top about it. I usually only leave good reviews, however this man did a terrible job on my nails. After several attempts at kindly asking for my nails to be cleaned up along the edges this man simply tuned me out. It is very clear to me they do not care about their customers here. Not recommended. UPDATE: only a couple of hours in and my GEL (mind you), chrome manicure is already chipping. read more

I've never posted a review before but i was originally nervous because they have such poor reviews online, and i was surprised by the precision. I was talked to once I walked in, and did not have to wait. Normally if you go to a nail salon at 3/4pm you're going to have poor customer service. The guy who did my nails followed my photo examples to the T. I got acrylics and a pedicure. Both look amazing. And pricing was good compared to other places here!!! read more

I went in to get simple acrylic nails done and when I asked to get the square shape, he slapped my hand. Then went on to rush through the appointment, making my nails lumpy, leaving reside underneath and leaving some spots untouched by polish. I left with sticky hands as the uv nail light's surface was sticky from not being cleaned as was the rest of the salon. Will not be coming back read more

I went in with a friend and when the lady asked me what I anted I explained it was my first time and I didn't know what I wanted. I told her I want a blue glitter and the same length of my nail because I knew I was comfortable with the length. She began to work on my nails and didn't file nails correctly and didn't care that I wanted a set. The nails came out all different lengths and I left feeling jipped out of my money. I returned 30 minutes later to ask for what my friend had. I didn't know what I was doing and they were very rude to me. So, I did enjoy my pedicure and manicure (side note: I live in FL and was on vacation seeing my mom in Columbia)...... BUT I noticed my mom next to me and her tools were pulled out of a sterile package, mine out of a drawer. I didn't think of it at the time but turns out I had got a MAJOR toe infection the next day. I was already back in Florida so I couldn't go in to show them. I went to the doctor and they said they had clipped the inside of my toe. I had to pay $115 doctor bill and get on antibiotics for 10 days. My mom went back in and politely asked for a refund of my service since it was half of my medical bill or ask them to pay for the doctors visit. She even showed them the pictures and they did not care. THEY WOULD NOT REFUND MY MOM AND DID NOT CARE AT ALL THAT IT HAPPENED. They said I could have done something else to cause it. So instead of being concerned about their cleanliness, they gave attitude. So don't go here if you want to risk your health. read more

literally the worst nail place in columbia. i just left and i have never experienced such a horrid acrylic nail. i asked for a short coffin shaped white acrylics with my ring fingers a silver color. he didn't have the right shape on, and when i corrected him after 2 nails, he got mad at me and cut them into coffin shape with the acrylic already on, he cut of all the corners of my actual finger nails too. while filing he ripped a fingernail off my finger and he just picked it back up and glued it back on. he was so aggressive and rude i started to tear up in the middle of my set. the guy next to me literally slapped his clients hand. after reading all the poor reviews i still decided to give them a chance. NEVER AGAIN. DO NOT GO HERE! i had to stop and look at my nails several times because he was so rough and it hurt so bad i thought they were bleeding. it's been half an hour and my hands are still in so much pain. please do your business else where. they are horrible. giving them one star was generous. after i told him how he needed to be more gentle he just said "sorry i hurt you" and kept on being as rough. these guys are terrible i would never recommend them to anymore. they're so rude too. update: i went back to show them the poor job and they agreed to give me a fresh set tomorrow for free to make things right. take your chances but you have been warned read more

I went to Top Nails two days ago because a friend had recommended them to me. I got a full set with French tips. There were three things I didn't like about them at all. 1) they are a very dirty establishment. There was nail polish on the walls, dirty trash cans and nail dust everywhere. 2) I was not greeted when I walked in. 3) the man who did my nails was very rude. And my nails, like I stated previously, I went 2 days ago. My nails look horrible! There is black dust under them, the employee used size 4 French tips on all of my nails, causing them to already peel off of my natural nail, and it looks like I've had them for a week because acrylic on my nails doesn't even come close to my cuticle, making it look like my nails have grown longer than they are. I will never be going back to top nails, I will be taking my buisness to The Nail Bar in Coolsprings, where they actually know what they are doing, and they're very clean! read more

I figured I would try this salon out, I was at the gym next door and the location was convenient. The salon is small, clean and staff was friendly. The service seemed good at first but ended up costing $10 more than what is listed on their price sign you see when you first walk in. I had a full set with gel. A little over a week and one snapped right off, whole. Now just two weeks later four had popped off doing just regular daily activities, like opening the dish washer and car door, and all the other ones started lifting. I was able to pop them all off with very little effort. I usually go about four weeks without getting a fill or having nails pop off. I will not be returning to this location. read more

I will never ever go here again. They're extremely rude and unprofessional. Today the lady doing my nails messed up so bad that she didn't even do the right color, she squared them off even though I wanted coffin, they weren't shaved down enough so they were kinda rounded on the top and some were even crooked. She rushed through getting them done then charged me $50 and I tipped her $5. I paid and tried to just get over it but I couldn't stand looking at them so I went back a few hours later and requested that they take them off in the nicest way I could.. every employee in there was extremely rude including the manager. While trying to explain to the manager why I was upset and what was wrong with them he kept interrupting me to laugh and talk about to the employees, he ended up shooing me away and telling me to go sit down in a very rude way. The lady that did my nails took them off, while talking them off she continued to sit there and laugh and shake her head at me.. she was very aggressive in the way she was moving my hand then she moved my hand away from the light and so far to the left that pieces of the acrylics were flying off into my 2 month old sons car seat and hitting him while she was shaving them down. When she gave me my money back she only gave me $50 and kept the tip.. which isn't a huge deal cause it's only $5 but common courtesy would be to give that money back also. I went in to try out this salon and after waiting for 1 hour and 30 minutes (my fault) I should have left, the slowest woman in the world took another hour to do my nails, she didn't understand oval and tried to make them square, she made it thick and left the edges and back of nails lumpy, she tried to repair but was making them worst, I was headed out of town so I told the manager I would come back for a repair, because when she saw them, she said oh no and shook her head. I went back and they gave me the run around, so ladies, don't go, its in Kroger parking lot and its the lady with the gold layer in her hair, if you have to go, use the manager, my nails are jacked up and I had to pay to get them fixed over. Buyer beware! This establishment charges an unseen, unspoken, 5 dollar additional charge if you pay with a debit or credit card. Check your statement! My wife and daughter had Amex on the phone and the "real time" transaction showed this charge no matter what amount the owner put in the card reader.
