Waitress Veronica was probably best one we've had in a long time very friendly and managed multiple tables smoothly! Good crowd all families who just know the staff, no music playing but everyone talking and enjoying the company so has a great vibe! The Winnie egg is hard to mess up and they do it perfectly - sausage egg was good added the green salsa but didn't really add any flavor - the potato and egg (add ketchup) was the best from the 3 needed a little salt but overall highly recommend!

Stopped by for a late lunch. Terrific casual cafe in an older part of SA. Lively decor, very traditional colors (see photos). We were greeted immediately and had chips and an awesome red salsa within a minute. Next up complimentary borracho beans. My husband said one of the top 3 maybe top 2 boraccho beans EVER. Iced tea came out while we were reviewing menu. My husband went for the standard breakfast: eggs, sausage and huge pancakes, all very tasty. I had a chicken fajita salad, well balanced with guac and sour cream on top. Added some of their delicious salsa as a dressing. Plenty of parking in front and side of cafe. We were there at 3 pm yet there were at least 5 tables plus delivery pickups. Clearly we are not the only ones who enjoy this traditional Tex-Mex cafe.

Seat yourself. Large parking lot. Came for lunch and was not disappointed. Prices are fair, worth coming here instead of fast food if you're looking for an actual meals since there are options you can get for close to the same price. the big daddy nachos are two tostada shells split into 4 with beef beans cheese and bell peppers. On the side it comes with guacamole, sour cream and jalapeno slices. Good as an appetizer or meal. The cheese enchiladas and gusiada comes with rice and beans and is a large helping. My husband and toddler were able to share. Lots of tables inside.

Had breakfast here today and it was really good! I wasn't too hungry so I got 2 tacos. The best bean and cheese you will ever have and a country and egg that was bomb as well. They were busy so service was a little slow but not too bad since our food came out fast. Lots of seating and place was clean. They also sell sweet bread, candy, t shirts. I will definitely be returning.

Fantastic service and food. The huevos rancheros with carne guisada was outstanding! Can't wait to go back and try lunch.

My husband and I had been trying to eat at Bobby's Southern Kitchen for at least 2-3 years. Every time we'd stopped before, the wait was around 2 1/2 hours, and since we were always passing through on our way home to Houston, we never had enough time to stay. This time, we planned our morning around finally getting to eat here. We had spent the weekend in San Antonio and were driving to Dallas before heading home, so we made a point of arriving shortly after opening (a little after 8:00 a.m.). There was no wait, we were seated immediately, and our waitress was wonderful. I wish I could remember her name because she was friendly, attentive, and did everything she could. Our food came out quickly, probably within 15 minutes, but that's where things went downhill. The food wasn't hot. Mine was warm enough to eat, but my husband's breakfast was actually cold. His hash browns were cold, his sausage patties were cold, and since he's someone who really enjoys his food served hot, it immediately ruined the meal for him. We let our waitress know, and she came back to take only the hash browns from his plate. That surprised us because most restaurants would prepare a fresh order rather than reheating part of the original meal. When the hash browns came back, they still weren't hot enough, so unfortunately they didn't solve the problem. For me, the food itself actually had good flavor. I ordered the sausage biscuit with soft scrambled eggs, sausage patties, and a side of grits. The biscuit was good, the eggs were cooked just the way I like them, and the grits were honestly one of the best parts of the meal. They were creamy, had a great consistency, and were well-seasoned with really good flavor. If everything had been served hotter, I honestly think I would have loved my breakfast. My husband ordered a simple breakfast with eggs over medium, toast, sausage patties, and hash browns. I don't necessarily think the food itself was bad I think serving it cold completely changed his experience. What makes this especially disappointing is that we arrived shortly after opening, so we expected everything to be fresh and piping hot. I honestly don't know what happened that morning, but after waiting years to finally try Bobby's, it just didn't live up to the anticipation. The service was excellent, the food had good flavor, and I truly wanted to love this place. I just can't overlook being served a breakfast that wasn't hot, especially first thing in the morning. I hope this was just an off day because I'd like to believe our experience wasn't the norm.

This is southern comfort food turned all the way up and they don't believe in small portions!…read more I went straight for The Morning Wrecker, and this breakfast is an absolute beast. Imagine a towering, layer-stacked masterpiece built around a massive fluffy scratch-made biscuit, crispy golden hash browns, a beautifully breaded and fried chicken fried steak, and two perfectly cooked over easy eggs. Then, because apparently that wasn't enough, the whole thing is drenched in rich, creamy country sausage gravy and finished with a generous blanket of shredded cheddar cheese. Every bite hits a different note, the buttery, tender biscuit, the crunch of the hash browns, the savory crust on the chicken fried steak, the richness of the sausage gravy, and that salty, melty cheddar bringing everything together. It's indulgent, unapologetically Southern, and exactly the kind of breakfast that makes you want to take a nap afterward. And the service was excellent. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming from start to finish. Just come hungry... The Morning Wrecker does not play around.

I have driven by this place millions of times as my folks live only 10 mins away and never thought to give it a try. After a little local shopping we were hungry and decided to pop in. So glad we did! Service was excellent. Our waitress was attentive, helpful and so sweet. The food was fresh, flavorful and perfectly cooked. Sometimes fried mushrooms can be too salty or overly breaded. Not here. They were perfect. The fish and chips were also fantastic. Not too thick with the batter and perfectly flaky. Oh and don't forget to pair your meal with a salad. Their croutons are house made and so fluffy and fresh. Definitely will be back because they have some great daily specials like sirloin plate for $13.99 on Mondays. Can't beat that!
