Very small inside, be prepared to wait. My son got a bean and cheese taco and it was quite large. I tried one of the lunch plates, I believe it was called the Tex-Mex. 2 cheese enchiladas, carne guisada, beans and rice. The guisada was so very tender, definitely a good choice. EXCELLENT tacos, tortillas are the BEST! The lunch plates I don't like so much but their breakfast plate of Huevos Rancheros with bacon are the BEST. If you ask them to cook your fried potatoes longer to be toasted and extra crispy, you'll get COLD eggs EVERY time so just don't ask. Eat the plate like it comes, it's still amazing good! The place at breakfast and lunch is PACKED so expect to wait long for a table and shady people will walk in and sit at dirty tables knowing people are waiting, so decide now if it's worth dying for because they are the shady kind and probably packing. Remember what happened at Popeyes. It's not worth it. The service is sweet but sometimes they're understaffed. The tacos here are AMAZING good. Great food at a great price. Always order the bean and egg taco. Beans are great. I recently tried their menudo and it's the best in San Antonio and Arizona. The flavor is out of this world never had such great tasting flavor and lots of meat and the amount they give you for the price. They only have medium and large so just go for the large even if you think that's to much believe me, you will finish it just like my wife did. It's my first day off in weeks. It's time to catch up on long overdue errands of which I'm only halfway done at the moment. It's noon and time for lunch. Within this parking lot is Asian, Moroccan and Mexican. Mexican it is! I opt for the lunch special - two offered today but I choose picadillo plate instead of cheese enchiladas. It arrives pretty quickly. I grew up on the majority of my week having Mexican food. The food here hits the spot, easy on my wallet and I don't have to wash pots and pans. The other reviews are not kidding when they say that everything is homemade. I am a fan of both the tortillas, the refried beans, and the carne guisada. The prices are great for what you receive. The restaurant has been going down in its quality of services. Depending on who you get as a waitress depends on the price of your meal! Recently Liliana charged me 20% more for my breakfast and when I asked why the charge she said the morning discount did not apply followed by the place is the cheapest in town! All five stars go to the tortillas!! Food is better than average. Let's just talk about the torts. When I try a new place the first thing I do is smell the tortillas to see if they will have good flavor or just be plain. I was happy to smell that they would be good. They had great texture and help turn good food better. The atmosphere was ok for being a whole in the wall kinda place. The restaurant had the smell of being here for awhile but couldn't tell. It's was Saturday morning and mom wanted a haircut but of course her regular place wasn't open until 10:00am . So we had to waste sometime. So we decided to stop on by Café San Luis for some coffee and some breakfast tacos. What a great choice. The waitress brought us our menus and asked what we wanted to drink. She came back with two hot cups of coffee and took our order. My mother had an over easy egg and one pancake. I ordered a bean and chorizo taco, along with a chorizo and egg taco. Both order we made to your liking. The food was nice and hot , and our coffee cups were always filled to the top.
