I used Oasis to open my pool this year. It cost me almost $800 for opening and initial vacuum. I was charged for going overtime, but when I called to dispute it they took some of the charge off my bill as their vacuum kid was mostly playing on his cellphone instead of vacuuming. They did the right thing by taking the charge off, but $700+ is still kind of steep in my opinion. Also, upon opening the initial techs said they did an inspection of my equipment but wouldn't give me results. They said they give it to their office staff and then they call me with the report and quote for repairs, etc. nobody ever contacted me. All in all, they opened the pool and vacuumed it, but another company could do the same for less... *In response to Derek's reply, it's possible that you're confusing me with someone else. We never spoke and that was never recommended to me. I scheduled my opening via email. Had it been suggested that I open my pool at a different time I gladly would have done so being this was my first time opening a pool and I advised of same. My pool was not ready to use in three days but I don't think that was in any way reflective of your services. read more

I needed a pool contractor to repair the damage frost heaves did to the coping and paver decking of my in ground concrete pool. The pool was also in desperate need of replastering. Oasis was very responsive to my needs and got the job done on time. Their workers were very accommodating in going the extra mile in making sure the finished product looked outstanding. I had to call 4 times about a request to open my pool which my neighbor recommended. I didn't open it for a year . I sent an email and photos. . After the fourth time owner called back and said he would take a look but he might pass on the full service.. Not sure what he does for a pool service business but I would Not recommend his attitude or business for pool services read more

Came to open pool, filter pump was broke so they couldn't do anything with the filter. Took cover off and put in 3 eyes. Charged me full price for opening. Had no problem paying for the chemicals over 100.00 And 325.00 for cover and eyes didn't take anything off for not doing the filter. Then I asked them to vacuum they made the appointment for a Saturday that morning they canceled it and made it for the the next Tuesday then on Tuesday morning they canceled it again. Not so much as an apology or explanation. Would definitely not recommend using them. read more

I was referred to Derek and his team at Oasis two years ago after our old company went out of business. They did a complete overhaul on our pool and filtration system and have been maintaining it since. It looks amazing and we are very happy. They even retiled our front entry foyer in the house over the winter after we saw the quality of work. read more

Ive used Oasis for 5+ seasons now and I highly recommend these guys, Derek, in particular. If you are new to owning/maintaining a pool, it can be a little daunting to figure who do you use. I use them primarily to open and lose my pool and then for any larger maintenance projects. read more

I would have chosen less than 1 star if I could. I have used this company for the last few years. Service has declined and prices they charge have skyrocketed. Be aware of the bait and switch that they pull, choosing one or two services that should have been one price and they charged over $1000 more without ANY communication! i would have given zero star if i could. one of my biggest regret in life was to have hired oasis pool to build our pool in 2019. the owner, derek, hires cheap sub contractors to work for him. he does not stand by his work and will blame others for his mistakes. we fired oasis service even though we still have one year of warranty with them. read more

Beware! Do not use this company. First off, I used them to open my pool and requested that they use my own chemicals which I was told from the lady was ok (shock, clarifier, algacide, chlorine, etc). I had it all out on the patio surrounding the pool and in the shed. Well you guessed it, they used their own chemicals and charged way too much for them. Twenty four pounds of shock, really? The workers were nice however. Then I wanted them to do an initial vacuuming. When they arrived the first time, they said they couldn't vacuum because the water was too cloudy. So they did another chemical treatment. They charged me for a service call and yup, lots more for chemicals which I had my own of. I didn't agree to the chemical treatment but didn't care, I just wanted the pool clear at this point. After speaking to the lady in the office (who is nice actually), we agreed to schedule another time for them to come vacuum when the pool cleared up. We had a tentative appt and I would call the morning of to let her know if I could see the bottom in the deep end. Well, at 7:45AM they were there already and it was still a little cloudy. They wouldn't vacuum and wanted to do another chemical treatment. That would've been another service call and chemicals but thank god I was there because the breaker box tripped when they turned the pump off to backwash. It wouldn't start back up but when they left, I played with it and got it going. They said we have to send out a tech to see what's the problem. Who knows what that would've cost. It was the breaker. Regardless, if that didn't happen, I would've been charged another service call and chemical treatment. They were there for 10 mins at most. I was not charged for this visit which is shocking. For the two times they came out for service calls and chemical treatments they could've vacuumed. I didn't request chemical treatments, I requested vacuuming. I ended up getting another company to come and vacuum and they came and did exactly what I requested and paid for, vacuumed. The water was in the same condition. Can you see all the way under your couch when you vacuum inside your home?? They got all the stuff off the bottom using their own equipment as well. Whatever. It's a business and you have to try and make money wherever you can I understand that. What really gets me the most about this company is I gave them a credit card authorization form for the opening and initial vacuuming work prior to them coming out but the expiration date was 5/17 on the card which I didn't realize. That was my bad. She said they sent an invoice on 5/23 but I never received it. But even if they did, why send an invoice the card would still work in May? I was away on vacation last week so was unavailable when they called but never received an invoice in the mail, a text or even an email. The payment wouldn't go through because of the exp date. That's my fault yes but instead of an email or letter, she sent the first ever text while the owner Derek showed up at my house this morning. He was irate and demanding payment and said that he already went to the police department and informed them about this and demanded I be called and put on speaker phone. Police? Really? I stepped out for a moment but wish I was there. Wow, over a few hundred dollars, this is what it comes down to? Business must be booming. I still haven't heard from him yet which after giving my new credit card to the lady, I requested he call me directly. Do not use this company. There are others out there not far from Mahwah right over the border in Nanuet, NY who will get your pool "crystal clear". They will come and do the service that you request and pay for and not play games. read more

I have worked with Oasis for a number of years, having switched from a much larger well-known pool company in the area. I have always found Derek and his team to be responsive, knowledgeable and, most importantly, practical. There are always solutions and choices to issues that arise that don't always involve redoing or buying brand new. Oasis seeks to work with you and is flexible in its approach. They don't try to sell you hard on products or other services - and they always try to do what's right. They have dealt with a variety of issues with my pool - not just openings, closings and weekly service - and I have never felt taken advantage of and trust their judgment. read more

Derek came out to my house to look at my pool and go over some options for a pretty large pool/patio make over. He mentioned it would take a few days to get me a quote so I waited. A week later I received a response from someone at his office that it would be a few more days before I get my quote. It is now a month later and I haven't heard from them. I did not follow up with them because...that's what a reputable company is supposed to do. I'm very disappointed, they seemed like a legit company. I understand the ground is frozen and I'm not looking to have any work started until the ground is warmer...but all I needed was a quote and they never provided one. read more

I went with Oasis pools for a pool inspection on a property I am buying, and I could not recommend Derek enough. He was incredibly thorough, didn't mind me getting a ton of questions, and gave all kinds of advice based on hypotheticals I asked about. When I get into the house I definitely plan on having Oasis be my pool service of choice for winterizing and any other issues that may pop up. I honestly couldn't be more impressed. read more
