I have been here multiple times and they have a few different services that they offer. I've done both a table massage and the one where you leave your clothes on and you get seated in a room with others in this big chair that reclines back. Both were really good, but I prefer the table massage and undressing since I hold a lot of tension in my shoulders and lower back. I came here to get a massage today after work and this was by far, my best experience ever when getting a massage. I got the full body salt scrub and exfoliation for one hour and 30 minutes of a foot massage. I feel brand new! The vibe is calm and relaxing. I felt like a queen coming here. It's been forever since my last massage. My Daughter & I usually go together & her neck was hurting so I got online to try & find a place. Her friend suggested Oasis so I checked out reviews on Yelp & decided to check them out. I love that they're open til 10pm & take walk ins. The massage was good but I don't know if I would call it a "spa." The inside is clean & it was quiet as we were the only customers I saw or heard. There are 8 chairs in the main massage area. The chairs fold out to a massage table during the massage. We both requested the Oasis special that includes the foot soak, reflexology, & massage. My therapist was very strong & I asked her to adjust the pressure which she did right away. The biggest difference between Oasis & other massages I've had is that Oasis had the big open area with 8 chairs in it instead of private areas or rooms. At the end of the massage my daughter went to the bathroom & I saw the other half of the salon that did have private rooms, some rooms had 3 massage tables in them so it would be nice to have my daughter & a friend join us next time. I'm not sure if you need to request a private room or it depends on what treatment you're having. It was a bit awkward having a massage over our clothes but the price was fair & the masseuse was good. We'll probably come again when we "need" a massage vs. "want" one. Overall we're happy with the results & other than the open area (think nail salon seating/privacy), it was good. I came here for a 1 hour foot massage, which also included a back massage. It was $40 and although there are cheaper places in the Chinatown area, I picked this because of the reviews. The massage is on a chair which can lay down, with other people in the room. It was a quiet unlike other places I have been to where the masseuses were chatty or would take phone calls. It started out with a foot soak and the masseuse massaged my head and temples. I've been to other places where your massage countdown started with the foot soak even though no massage started so I was happy they did this. The massage was good. Right pressure and he did it harder when I asked. I dozed off because it was relaxing but not excessively painful (note, I do like a lot of pressure). After he was done with my feet, he did a quick massage on my legs then I turned around where he massaged my back and hips which felt really good. I looked at the time when he was done and it was a full hour massage. Many places skimp out early. Payment was easy with a credit card and I gave him a cash tip. Only thing I wasn't pleased to see was that they use the same towels we were laying on for the next customers. I get massages regularly when time permits. My massage was not good. Requested 90 min deep tissue massage. Massage therapist was slapping oil on me during the massage. I had to ask her several times not to do circular motions with her elbow near my head because she kept hitting me in the head. TLDR: Don't go here unless you enjoy being tortured. Requested a 2 hour, couples massage. The staff was really friendly, the place is clean and quiet. It was pretty affordable, but now I know why. When we got started, she was rough and I asked if she could go softer. She said yes, but didn't let up. I asked again, can you please be more gentle? Sure. She didn't. At one point, she placed her elbow between my shoulder blades to hold herself up while she rubbed my right shoulder. I wouldn't be surprised if I don't have bruises from this experience. It feels like I got in a car accident. Throughout the massage, I asked for her to go softer, be more gentle. I even said, "ow", "omg ow" and "ouch" in case there was a misunderstanding. Before you decide to get a massage, you must know what are you looking to get done, from trigger points to detoxification of your muscles, you must communicate clearly with the front desk and your therapist. They are not mind readers, and they are good doing what they do if you know how much pressure, how deep you want them to go before hurting you. Communication is the key. This establishment is legit and good at what they do. The front desk managers would go extra mile to get you scheduled and attend to your needs. I've been going here a few years now (driving 45 minutes from home) so I'm listing my Pros and Cons. The one thing I like about this place is that u get ur full minutes of service, unlike other places cut u down by 10 mins (5 before and after). The technicians are consistent with the pressure all the way through. The salon honors veteran discounts. Now here are the CONS: . every time I come for my massages, they're always the same VS a masseuse who specializes in massage therapy knowing how to identify extra tensed areas needing more attention than other areas of the body. . Oasis had been doing 10% vet discount, but my most recent visit was only $5 discount . Last but definitely the most annoying. For the first time at Oasis I opted to do the foot reflexology....OMG!!! I could NOT relax/sleep....I HATE they perform this service in a room with other folks...there was someone sitting up looking at a cell phone, a cough, a couple of sneezes. Someone else walks in allowing their phone to ring (THEY FREAKIN ANSWERED IT AND TALKED), though brief, it was still disturbing. You can hear clients talking at the check in counter and to top all this off... there was this hideous sound in the foot massage room, as though a box or bucket was sliding across the floor and it happened about every 15 seconds throughout my 90 min session. (YES i do mean seconds, not mintues of this box, stool, bucket whatever sound going across the floor). I'm not certain what it was or who was doing it...Oasis should allow some folks to choose to be in a private room. Restless experience. read more

But recently my visits have been terrible, a couple months ago I went in and the I kept telling the masseuse to go lighter but she continued to be rough, I ended up with bruises on my entire back the next day. I went in again yesterday and the masseuse did a very different routine than they normally would for full body, kept pushing on the side of my back, I can't even stand straight today because my back is in so much pain. This was my first time here and I've been looking for a massage place for some time. There were several massage places near my home location but many of them were a bit pricey and for some reason, I didn't feel comfortable trying them. But I found this place in yelp and to be honest, I was really looking at more so the price point versus how exclusive or high end the massage salon locations looked. I've learned over time that sometimes the pretty esthetics are just another way to really bump up the pricing of services. So once I saw that this place was moderately priced, I called to ask questions. One of the questions they I asked was if they employed male masseuses only because I usually have a lot of tight muscles and need someone who can Gm really get the knots out and let me tell you, this place did not disappoint. For $60 I got an hour of full body deep tissue massage. He was able to really focus on some of the problem areas I had in my neck, shoulders, upper and lower back. He even focused on the right muscles within my lower thigh area. They don't offer any additional discounts but for the $60 I found it to be pretty good. The establishment was clean and although there was a language barrier between myself and my masseuse, he was able to check in and ask if the pressure was too much or if I needed more. I felt a little bit bad because I kept asking for more pressure and I can hear him almost out of breath, but again, most of my knots are out and I'm sure that he provided as much pressure as he could for the target areas where I was most tense and most knotted. I paid with my debit card and totally forgot to bring cash. I usually bring cash to give as tip but for some reason, I just forgot, but the good thing was, I was able to tip in my card. Although they also don't have a frequent client punch card like they do in places like Hawaii (where we're from) but I will defiantly be back again! Even though it's about a 30 minute drive from where I live, it's totally with it and I get the chance to be in Houston's Asian Area filled with Asian style restaurants, shopping areas and Asian Groceries. I would give this place 5 Stars had they had some type of 1st customer discount or military discount or something but they didn't, so that's the only draw back. Don't get me wrong, I totally understand that it's up to the business to decide on discounts, but as a consumer who has options to go else where, perhaps trying to entice new clients/customers to give the establishment a chance, would defiantly be beneficial to both customers and the business...but yes 4/5 stars and would defiantly recommend. read more

I've decided to try a new place rather than my usual in Bellaire. I'm a bit critical as I've been to a few places. I called and made an appointment. What I didn't realized was they have two location. They're in walking distance from each other. Its a relatively small establishment and unfortunately if there are people in the waiting area talking it can be heard pretty clear. The spa music was very low and you can barely hear it. I hope management enforce the "quietness" in the waiting room on behalf of the patrons as it disturb the tranquility of the ambience. Other than that, my masseuse initially started ok. I told him I like it hard. Which he did. Everything was mediocre till he flipped me around. My whole body was sore from a competition event yesterday and when he started rubbing my back I was in heaven. It hurts so good. I can tell he was giving it all he got and doing his best. I can hear him huffing and puffing and really driving his hands and elbow in my back like he's doing a wrestling move on me. Because of that, he redeemed himself. 5 or 4 stars? If I had to compare to all massages ever, a 4... but if I compare to a typical Asian place, 5! I have been to probably less than a handful Asian spas, but more than a handful fancy American spas. Of course, I would prefer the fancy ones with their incredibly smelling lotions and oils and super comfy beds and super friendly staff that treat you like king.... but it does come with a price! If you don't need the frills and just want a small treat and a good massage, then this is the place for you. We had a group of 6 so they split us into 3 rooms with two beds each. My cousin signed us up for full body massages. On the menu, it says deep tissue or Swedish, but they didn't ask which one we preferred... at least not to me, maybe to my cousin. When we went to the room, they did ask how hard of a pressure we wanted the massage and if we had a gender preference. I like light-medium massages and can only be handled by women (unless it's my husband!) We went into a room that looks like two cots on the floor and two massage chairs in the room... We were instructed to strip down leaving only our underwear. We didn't know what to expect, so if you are paired up, hope you are comfortable with getting naked with your partner... at least just for the dressing/undressing portion. I was concerned with how they were going to be placed around us since the cots were so low. The cots had some cushions on the sides so the whole time I kept thinking if someone bigger than me was in this bed, would they have space. I am petite, but on the heavy side and it was big enough for me. The first 10 minutes or so, we spent what felt like a deep tissue (I'm guessing since I've never had one.) I was in a little pain because I had been lifting weights the day before and was a little sore, but I sucked it up 'cause I assumed it was temporary and it was. Afterwards, she proceeded with oil and then the real rub down began.... and it was over way too short! Next time, definitely signing up for an hour and a half. My only issues: - it would've been nice to have hangers to hang up our clothes instead of wall hooks. - I could hear my masseuse breathing heavily as she did some heavy pressure every now and then so it was a little awkward when you prefer to hear soothing sounds... and good thing they have to wear masks - When it was time to flip for the head and neck massage portion, it would've been nice if they covered our eyes with something. Several options to choose from, my bestie and I usually get the Oasis Special that involves the foot massage and back/shoulder massage combo. The first time we tried Oasis, it was over a year ago (didn't write a review then), but this is for our most recent visit a few weekends ago. The first time review would have received five stars, the masseuses were AMAZING (never got their names, regrettably) and once the finished with our scalp and foot massages, they took us to the back room and gave a full back massage...this time, my masseuse was basically pinching my back, and rubbing my back instead of giving me a real massage...rather it was just an overloaded lather of oil and lotion and not enough pressure or deep tissue style back massage. Instead of putting us in a room, they reclined the chairs where we get the scalp and foot massage and kept us in the front and used really thick blankets over us and had to massage over the blankets so I barely felt the pressure from the massage... I was really looking forward to the same experience as the first time I came her, but the stars deduction is for the inconsistency. He found this place through Yelp and found they had a deal -- $75 per person for a combo 90 min massage (45 min feet, 45 upper body). What a steal! They were able to squeeze us in just 90 mins after we called and inquire.
