This has become our regular spot for weekend morning massages, followed by lunch nearby around Chinatown. Note that Oasis has two locations which are related (I think?), but have different phone numbers and certain massage therapists work at one or the other. It's always super easy to schedule a same-day (or same-morning) appointment by calling. They can usually get you in ASAP, and once you show up, you are ushered to your room right away. Parking is always questionable since it's located in Dun Huang Plaza, but if you come early enough in the morning, parking has never been an issue. I have seen Mike the past couple of visits and my partner regularly goes to see Alan. Both are super solid and we've never had an issue scheduling with them. I prefer my massages DEEP, and Mike does go really deep. To the point I question whether I need to warn him not to push any further or else he might break my back... There is usually a clear difference between budget massage places and high end spas, yet somehow Oasis II feels like a blend of both. Despite being overshadowed by its much larger sister location in the same plaza (#1), this has become my go-to place for all things massage. Don't let the smallish lobby fool you, Oasis II is larger than it appears. There are a number of individual and group rooms of varying sizes, all of which are clean and smell great. They're dimly lit and private enough to conceal the outside noise. It is quiet enough to feel like a true oasis. The male and female masseuses here all specialize in different styles, from deep tissue to aromatherapy. 1 hour regular body massage runs about $65, where as a foot massage is $40. There are specific tiers that include only shoulder / neck / back ($40-70) or even head massage ($40) or hot stone massage ($75). I personally prefer their Oasis special of 30 minutes of feet and another 1 hour of body massage for $90. I'm on my feet often, so foot massages are favorite thing to get. I often require someone who knows how to manipulate large feet where in the perfect balance between pain and pleasure, and usually that person is an older Chinese man with bear paws for hands. There's usually a head and shoulder massage that accompanies this, so it is the best overall combo. When he's done, I feel like I'm floating and light on my toes. For the occasions where it is my back, I prefer back walking. This is not exclusive to Thai massage, but is widely practiced in Chinese style massages. Not every massage place will have bars on the ceiling, but they have specialized rooms where where folks can do this on their own or in couples fashion. I enjoy the pressure and appreciate any pops in the process. They're very professional and do an excellent job every time. English is not necessarily universal, but make your preferences known at the counter so that they can communicate with the staff if necessary. The customer service may not appear to be warm, but it's effective. They do such a good job with answering the phones, scheduling the appointments, and executing in a way that is consistent that I have found very little room for error. I decided to try this location for a massage, and unfortunately, it was a huge mistake. I've been to the original location right across the parking lot and had a much better experience, but this one did not compare. When I arrived, the front desk attendant was outside smoking, and when she came in to check me in, she smelled strongly of cigarettes. After filling out a form, I was taken to a room and told the masseuse would be in shortly. The massage itself was very disappointing. In my opinion, the masseuse had no real skill--she mainly used her elbows on my back, which was uncomfortable and painful rather than relaxing, which left me sore.. The foot massage was no better; instead of massaging, she used her knuckles to press up and down on the bottoms of my feet. By the time I left, my back actually hurt worse than when I arrived. When I came in I was promptly taken to my room. Wendy was my masseuse for my 90 minute full body massage. She made sure I was comfortable and was ok with the amount of pressure she was using. So when I go over to the plaza if Oasis isn't available I'll swing by here or if I want to get a sea salt massage then this is my choice of preference. Its the plaza so there are some other options for other massage places so generally speaking you don't need to make a reservation - if you are going in a group of 3 or more though I would suggest calling ahead just to be sure. What could be better is the consistency with the sea salt massage. One massage was hands down best EVER the rest seem to be hit or miss. For the value you get its still worth it to come here. If you are going to get the sea salt maybe do it on the weekend or a day off since you'll still have some sea salt on your body. The full body massages are also a great choice and offer great value. We had originally booked a massage for 4 at Oasis Massage and they sent us to their second shop Oasis II, it was a short walk over. First thoughts is that it's really clean and the staff is so kind. We were split into two rooms and did the one hour full massage for $60. The massage was great but you have to give some direction to the masseuse. We did get a little confused when they abruptly left the room 45 mins in but it was to get heated towels. Walking in, the place looks very clean. Restrooms were clean as well which gave us good vibes about the place immediately. We opted to try their 1 hour foot massage ($35) but don't worry it includes more than just your feet. The foot massage room is a communal room. The private rooms are only if you get a full body massage. There's dim lighting, calming music, and really soft recliners. The guys who give the massages here are very strong but they ask you if it's too hard/soft. I guarantee by the end of it you'll be feeling amazing. For $35/hour this place is a steal. Have been here three times so far. Once I have gotten a full body couples massage and it was great. The other two times, I have gotten the 60 minute foot reflexology for $35. This is a communal room on your own chair fully dressed. You cannot beat the price and the salon is clean. The reason I am giving 4 stars and not 5 has to do with my most recent visit. I came here with 2 other people. $25 for one hour for reflexology. Guys... It's not worth it. A very clean facility, nice front desk, but masseuses that need training badly. This is coming from all 3 of us. I was so excited because this place has 5 stars on Yelp. As I came in, they put us in the first room. We were able to soak our feet and they covered us in a blanket. When they started on the face, one guy had a cigarette smell. The other ladies put a gallon full of oil on my head and massaged it, to where my face and hair was so greasy my head and parts of my face broke out. As they were massaging I asked for stronger. Nothing really worked and I was afraid to ask again. When they finished everything in front, I realized they didn't really tough my legs or thighs or hands. Once I flipped over, my backside was my area where I have been stressed. I requested for this to be very strong. Nothing changed so I asked not 2x but 3, and after the third time, she started using her elbow and bones toward my spine and bone areas. The next day, my back had a shocking pain. The other person was bruised. I've never been so disappointed in a Chinatown massage before. Would not recommend. On the bright side: feet were done for a longer period of time, but I didn't think the masseuse really know what she was doing. She didn't hit any of my spots nor did she undo any of my knots. So one of my best friend was feeling achy all over her body, and what do friends do when this happens? We go get a massage together of course! So the initial plan was to try Oasis Massage Salon as I heard a lot of good things about the place. But once we got to Dun Huang Plaza, we notice that there's an Oasis Massage II on the first floor of the plaza. I did a quick search and this is the newest location for Oasis Massage so we went to the new location instead because, why not? We walk in and look at the type of massages they offer. I see that they have an Oasis Special which is 1 hour foot and body massage for $40! I think that's one of the better price point out there. We both book that and it took them a few minutes to get the room ready. They did ask us if we have a preference on male or female masseuse and we just needed someone who can massage very strongly. And boy, did I really get a strong masseuse for my session that time! Since the first part is the foot massage, they lead us to the couch room and had us get all relaxed in the recliner chair. Just like every other massage salons, they will soak your feet in hot water while they give you a head, shoulder, neck massage first. I have to say, it was one of the best head massage I ever had. Everything my masseuse did was on point, I felt so relaxed that I think I fell asleep at least once on the couch and then in the massage bed. I love it that they put us in the same room and it was so comfortable. Remember I mention I wanted someone with a strong touch? The masseuse I had really had a strong touch where I was in a good pain feel. She really hit all the knots on my shoulder where the next day, I still feel sore from the massage. I went to the original oasis a few weeks ago and didn't have that great of a massage. It's been years since I've visited oasis and I left very disappointed. Walked out and spotted oasis II and decided I would check it out next time I needed a massage. Oasis II is much cleaner and nicer. I came a few minutes after they opened so I had the whole massage room to myself. William was the one who did my massage and I felt he did a great job. I decided to get the hot stone foot massage which was an extra $10 from the regular foot massage. If you have really sore feet the extra $10 will be worth it. I asked for the man I had had in the past because I like to get deep tissue. There were only women available so I went with that.
