Whoaaa, so relaxing, I fell asleep and dreamed like 3 dreams! Very good pressure and technique. Will return always when in town.

Call owner J L would like to make a reservation for back pain and elbow. She recommended Michael. Now I have been there for few times back reduced pain a lot. He can pinpoint your problem with precision. The results obvious it's goes beyond scope of a massage. It's like having a physical therapist compared outside most massaging. If you're experiencing related pain. call for Michael. You won't let you down. Strongly recommend. read more

(Name/location) JL Foot Spa. It's above Star Ice. (Atmosphere/decor) The music was calming and relaxing. This eased me a bit too much wanting to sleep, and not being awake to enjoy the massage. (The menu/dishes) $45 foot and body combo 30 mins each (The ingredients/the wine/the prices) The pricing here is cheaper than the other places in the same plaza. The other places charge about $55/hr. (The service/the waiters/the owner) The service was subpar. Unfortunately, I didn't have a great service here. They just shook my feet, and touched my toes. They blindfolded me to put me at ease, but it didn't feel great really. It felt more like a pedicure than a massage. read more

Oasis used to be my go-to Foot Massage parlor, but seems like they could no longer hold onto their good therapists and keep having huge turnover. I started looking for other places inside the complex, and luckily stumbled upon JL! I have tried twice now with Michael, and he has been very consistent! The pressure was on point, and he knew the areas that need attention. I have constant pain in my hand/wrist, and Michael was the first to spend adequate and extra time without my asking, and my hands/wrists were in heaven! Definitely highly recommend JL to everyone I know! read more

Wow! Amazing. Was able to walk right in. Asked for the $40 60mm foot massage and - just amazing! I'll be back.

This is the one that I would go back to have massage again. I was looking for the spa that just massage only foot. They did what I requested. Nice, clean, and quiet place. Good pressure and very polite stuffs. read more

I have been coming to JL Foot Spa for years. The price is just right and the massages are excellent. If you are unsure and want to test it out, they do 30 minute long massages as well. Once you see them work, they're magic you will be sold. read more

Amazing service! Super sweet and helpful! Cute building and has easy access to food nearby!

Came here for a quick couple's stop for 30 mins. The bf and I had drastically different experiences. I got the head, neck, and hand massage and thoroughly enjoyed the work from my male therapist. Remember they always tend to be more heavy-handed, so voice to them if you need lighter pressure. I was happy to be able to be right next to him during the whole session, since both types of massages could be done from their chairs. My poor bf just wanted a foot massage -- Nothing else. But his female therapist began working first with his hand. He quickly told her he just wanted his foot massaged. She then spent 20 mins on just his left calf. By the time the 30 mins was over, she probably only touched his feet for 5 mins. At the end, she also burned his left leg with a wet towel. He told her it was very hot ... and then she proceeded to do the same thing to his right leg He walked out of there with his feet feeling worst than when we first came in. If I had to guess, the issue was either because there was a language barrier or there was a miscommunication between the receptionist who booked us or the two therapists who were assigned. Either way, there's no way we're coming back after this experience read more

JL Foot Spa - Current prices as of 4/29/2023 - Massage Near Me - Houston, Texas

I have found a new favorite massage place. Very talented hands and the best massage I have ever had, and I have had quite a few.

I've been going here since I moved to Houston. One of my favorite Foot Massages. I was sad to see prices go up.. I remember when it was $20 bucks for a foot massage. Now, for a 60 minute foot massage, it's $40. I totally get inflation, etc. I also think the workers, work super hard & always give us the best experience. I feel relaxed every time I leave. The lady that owns it is not always the friendliest.. but we love this tiny place. I also call ahead to see if it's busy and that's helpful as there is limited seating. read more

Second time here. First time was good second time was great. I also had meagan as mentioned by another reviewer and she did a very good job. I did the $45 30 min feet 30 min body and loved every minute of it. I'll probably come back Saturday before I go on to my next town for the 90 min with her. read more

JL Foot Spa - Pricing as of today - Massage Near Me - Houston, Texas

My son and I went for a foot massage. It is clean and the one hour massage was very good.

I absolutely love this spa! The service is always great! I love the spa! We will be back soon!

JL Luxurious Foot Spa was good for the price. The biggest thing I didn't like though was how loud it was at times. You could constantly hear the door open and close when people walked in, and the 2 people doing our massage kept talking loudly between the 2 of them. I also didn't appreciate the rude comment at the end by the cashier in front. He complained because we gave a 25% tip, that's generous in any tipping situation, but he said it wasn't enough. Besides that though, the massage was solid. My friend thought the pressure was too hard and was too rough, but personally I enjoyed it. I guess it varies from person to person depending on who does your massage. We chose to do the $20 60 min foot massage which starts with a relaxing warn foot soak, and ends with a strong back massage in a private room. Would I come back here? Probably yes because of the price for the massage, but it definitely could have been a better experience. It was too loud, inconsistent between the massagers, and staff makes rude comments if you don't give a big tip. If you can deal with that, then come here for a strong massage. read more

Suki gives an amazing massage. I always leave relaxed and refreshed. I highly recommend

I should've seen the red flags when I kept getting phone calls following up from the owner after my initial phone call to inquire about availability. Based solely on my masseuse, this was probably the worst foot massage I've ever gotten. Growing up in the hub of Asian central in Southern California, I've had my fair share of Asian foot massages so this is saying something. Starting off, the pressure was fine up until my masseuse lady fell asleep on me! Honestly, how does that even happen?! She was working on my foot when I noticed the pressure started drifting off and she would randomly straight up pause mid massage multiple times. When I peeked from the towel she had placed over my eyes, her eyes were completely closed. It was the last straw when she practically fell over when she nodded off asleep. I know plenty of people would fall asleep while getting a massage but never the other way around. I didn't pay $40 for people to fall asleep while doing what I'm paying them to do. Never coming back here again. I am still completely baffled by my experience. read more

Not sure what his name is but ohmylerd.... Ohmylerrdddd my feet have never felt better. AND, sure wasn't expecting the little 2-3 minute head, neck, and shoulder rub prior to having my feet worshiped. Will. Be. Back. Mark. My. Words. read more

$20 60 MIN FOOT MASSAGE My go-to place for affordable relaxation. This place does accept WALK INs but you can also call ahead to reserve seats if you're with a bigger group. You first walk into a dimly lit room that has 8 reclining chairs. The masseuse/masseur will bring a basin of hot water for you to soak your feet. While your feet are soaking they will start massaging your head & shoulders (approx 10 min), and then arms (~ 20 min). Before they massage your calves & feet (~ 20 min) they do put a cloth over your eyes. Once your foot massage is over they take you into a back room where you lay to receive a back massage. (~ 20 min) You pay once you finish and they do ACCEPT CARD but they do prefer cash. Overall it feels like a FULL-BODY MASSAGE CONS: - It can get noisy in the communal foot massage area. People coming in and out. Staff talking to each other. It can be distracting. I will probably bring earplugs next time - The massages are inconsistent. My last visit my masseur rubbed my right foot significantly way more than my left. The pressure is also too hard making the experience uncomfortable. You should speak up to ask them to go a little softer if necessary - The back massage is done OVER CLOTHES. One of my massages the masseur put an additional towel over me before he touched me but my most recent visit the masseur did not. They do massage along the thighs and buttocks so if you are uncomfortable with that let them know. read more

Been going here with my family a couple times per year for probably 6 years now. Even though they had to raise prices, it's still %1000 worth it. I get the foot massage and you'll be pleasantly surprised with how much of the "foot massage" is dedicated to head, shoulders, arms, back and legs. The staff is super nice and I would recommend them to anybody! read more

JL Foot Spa - Kevin and me - Massage Near Me - Houston, Texas

My usual stop while I'm in Houston of some R&R. This place is listed on the second floor of Juice Box (Asian Shopping Center). Talking about fast service, I never had to wait. Their foot massage is the best which also include a back massage as well. You lay down on the huge couch and soak your feet in a bucket of warm water. While they massage your neck and head. After moments later they will start massaging your legs & feet. I have never had any massage there that I was unhappy about. The only negative thing is that they're always talking or someone in the back talking which ruins my R&R moment. Other than that the price is right & the massage is great. read more

Went there and had a relaxing time. Not pushy and on time. Highly recommend. Probably better to go on a weekday.

Impressed with the cleanliness of this place and actually great massages. $35 for 30mins for feet and 30mins upper body, which I liked that they took us in a private room for. I'm only giving it 3 stars for now because I would like to visit again. Also, the lady upfront left me with an unsettling feeling because she was giving the masseuse an eye when we tipped her... If you go, make sure to ask for Peter as your masseuse. read more

My mom and I were very disappointed! I wanted to take my mom out for a nice treat. They claimed to give us 1 hour message combo for $50 including 30 mins foot message and 30 mins body. But it was more like 50 mins message. The messages were mainly rubbing with oil for a bunch of times in the same area until you feel really hot. I can do the rubbing myself at home. I don't need to pay $50 for someone to do that for me and my mom. And then they use really hot towels to clean the oil which is way too hot on your skin. Then you are done! No message techniques what so ever. Very frustrating. At the end they would wait for you for tips. I didn't want to give any tips but they were just waiting there. I gave $10 tips , and they said it was too little. They were so lucky I even gave them any tips. Not coming back here again! Don't waste your money here! read more

The head and shoulder massage is $25, she grabbed my visa and charge $27 and told me to leave a tip. Don't trust the price chart. They'll scam you after it's done. read more

Michael was absolutely amazing!! Being a massage therapist myself. I can be kind of picky about massages but Michael was wonderful, and the fact that he did trigger point made it even better! I feel so renewed. I will definitely be back in a few weeks for my birthday massage ‍ read more

My boyfriend and I came here last night for a couples full body massage. I know the name of the business is "Foot Spa" but they offer more than just foot massages - clearly. Lol. They take walk ins which is super nice since we called and made an appointment yet showed up late... Whoopsies! But they still got us in quickly. They had a private room for both of us and the massage itself was nice. Personally, we would've preferred a bit nicer atmosphere but the price was great for the service so no biggie. By "nicer atmosphere" I mean it would've been nice to have some aromas and music going. It was silent in the room other than the sounds of their hands on our backs and the occasional chatter between the two masseuses... I would go back but probably only for a foot massage. read more

I'm beyond confused because I have been here twice and the first time I came here (maybe around 10 months ago) with my friend we got the foot and back massage special which was pretty decent. Maybe 3.5 stars out of 5 because I have been to parlors of similair price points and the quality of the massage and afterward release of tension in my body was noticeably different. This time, it was incredibly lack luster. Me and my bf went for a fulll body massage. I do have to say I appreciate the owner's flexibility and they stayed a little bit after hours for my massage. But the masseuse had incredibly weird technique and there were some parts where I felt he wasn't even trying. At certain points, he would talk to his coworker in our private room and they would start laughing about whatever. There were times I thought she was laughing at the really weird techniques he was doing on me. It emphasized more why I regretted going there lol. Unprofessional and dampened the serene environment. My Masseuse was a middle aged man. I didn't feel any different afterward and my bf said the masseuse was over focusing on certain muscles and he felt more pain than ease afterward. Was not worth the money at all. I love supporting small Asian businesses, especially massage parlors but this was the weirdest experience. After a good massage, I usually feel a release of tension and feel like I'm a walking Gumby, but this time I didn't feel a thing, just had a lot of questions lol read more

Post weightlifting workout today, I needed a really good back massage. So I went to Chinatown to my regular spa at JL next to YESKTV karaoke, and Sofia gave me probably what I think is the best 60 minute body massage I've ever had in my life. I've had massages across the USA and even in Thailand, and this is probably the most rejuvenated I've ever been post massage. She worked every bone and sore muscle. No funny business here... JL is legitimately a great massage place. At $45 for an hour, even with a $20 tip, it's also an incredible bargain. read more

JL Foot Spa - Next to YES Ktv on the second floor - Massage Near Me - Houston, Texas

We decided to go get massages in the Bellaire area and just about every spot we went to did not have walk in openings available. So we finally decided to call JL and they were ready to accommodate a group of four of us. Everyone was very friendly and man was it relaxing! They stayed steady as we were finishing up with our session. Will definitely be back! Prices were fair, we all got the $35 special foot and back massage. Go check them out! read more

I've been going here for a few years now and it can be a hit or miss. I do love getting the foot massages (which includes leg, shoulders and a head massage). I'm usually never disappointed. The full body massage is another story... After my last visit I was extremely sore so I've decided to just stick with the foot massages. Overall, I like the spot and you cant beat the prices. read more

Is it wrong to finish a one hour massage and want a second one right after finishing the first one?? This was such a great place! Quiet, clean, relaxing! I had the one hour foot reflexology, it was the best. My guy had just the right pressure throughout the massage. I'll be back soon!! read more

My boyfriend and I couldn't decide where to go in Chinatown to get our foot massages and ended up choosing this one based on the mostly positive Yelp reviews. Still I was wary because I haven't had the best of luck with masseuses elsewhere. Those worries all faded away within the first five minutes of the hour foot massage at JL. Just as a heads up, their hour foot massage is more like 25 minutes of the upper half of the body and 35 minutes of feet and calves. While my feet were soaking, the lady kneaded away at my shoulders and got out more tightness in that short time span than any deep tissue massage ever has. The scalp massage bordered on too much pressure but it was great at knocking out my headache. The foot massage itself was just right, and the 10 minute back massage at the end had me convinced that I need to come back to try their full body massage. The only thing that was weird was my boyfriend had a lady who kept belching but he didn't mind because he was passed out. Appointments may be needed but we were just lucky to catch them at a time before their rush. For $20, this was a great deal. read more

We went here for a foot massage one hour and it is 30$ pp. the guy doing my massage wasn't wearing gloves. I didn't feel like they used any body oil or cream. The guys working here are hacking outside and then come into do the massage .. from a safety perspective they shouldn't be spitting outside. It was warm inside. My husband had a lady and liked his massage. Give it a try ask for the ladies in my opinion. read more

JL Luxurious Foot Spa is living proof that a $20 foot massage parlor doesn't have to smell like feet (and ass), nor does it have to pack in so many chairs and workers that it feels like you're in a Chinese sweatshop. JL has a quality that the other foot massage parlors lack, for the same price that their stank competitors offer. When entering you'll find yourself in a check-in area. Please SHUT UP. The massage chairs are right on the other side of the entry. Turn your damn phone off and keep your voice down. Many other massage parlors have their check-in desk in the same room as the chairs, but this is not the case here, so keep it down because we can still hear you. I was promptly sat in a big, comfy chair with fluffier than usual pillows. My feet were soon sitting pretty in hot water, and the masseuse brought out lotion that was better than the typically used Baby Powder Scented Equate. Within seconds I was in massage parlor heaven (not the happy ending kind). My masseuse was strong, but gentle, and every motion was made with intention. It felt as though I was melting into the seat. I kept falling in and out of sleep, thanks to KTV next door blasting their house-techno-pop-whatever the hell it is. Thirty minutes flew by, and my masseuse guided me to lay on a table. My table massage was just slightly less wonderful compared to the chair, but by that time I was like butter. With that funny, slightly aggressive slap on the back that all masseuses do, I knew it was over. I stumbled out, all relaxed and looking used up. I paid by card (though they were reluctant to accept it) and raved all the way to the car about how great my time was. JL Luxurious sets a standard for the area that will be hard to beat. I can't wait to sink into a chair, wrap up in a CLEAN, fluffy towel, and enjoy a luxurious massage from one of the masterful masseuses at JL. read more

Great price. $30 hr foot massage. They do mostly foot but do massage all over your body too. Workers all have mask on. Very relaxing experience! read more

My boyfriend and I took a spontaneous trip to Houston last week, after eating shaved ice, we were just about to get into the car, but as I looked up towards the second floor of the plaza and saw "$20/1 Hr," I was like "f*ck it, lets get a foot massage!" LOL We didn't have time to get the hour long massage so we paid for a 30 minute instead which was $15 a person. The cashier opened up the curtains to the back where there were recliners for us to pick which one to sit/lay in. I was kind of nervous because I've never gotten a foot massage nor have I ever stepped foot into an establishment like this. We sat in the chairs and they were sooooo comfortable. The women brought out tubs of water and put our feet into it....UM OUCH! That ish was burning hot. It was a total surprise, but it started to feel nice after I got used it. The lady covered my eyes with a light towel and began to massage my head, neck, upper back, shoulders, arms, hands, fingers, calves, feet, toes and man oh man, it felt amazing! It was so relaxing that my boyfriend literally fell asleep -__- He was snoring and I had to wake him up because the ladies kept giggling lol EMBARRASSING!! It was definitely a new experience and we both don't regret it one bit! Super affordable. I've never noticed the plethora of foot massage establishments there were in Houston.. I wish there were that many in Dallas because I'd hit one up monthly! I give this place 4 stars because the lady who was massaging my boyfriend kept coughing and had to stop and go in the back to cough some more..which was awkwardly loud so it kind of messed up the ambiance. read more
