I've been here a few times. Great pricing for services. The area is quiet and serene. I would have loved it if there were some essential oils in use, maybe would have added some aromatherapy to the mix with lavender or lemongrass. The massage was good but the smell of stale rice and chicken was a bit distracting... I kept sniffing trying to discern exactly what my olfactory senses were picking up on. When I checked out at the lobby I saw an older gentleman man clobbering away at a corn on the cob... so I wasn't accurate with my guess but it was still weird and off putting. The towels were old and rough, a bit hard, so when he rubbed down my legs it was uncomfortable. But the massage itself was great, especially when he did this stretch maneuver where he pulled my leg up backwards to my back. I literally felt demons leaving my body like an exorcism. It hurt so good. He also cracked my back and I drooled a little bit, the gluteal massage was life changing. Butt massages are always the best. You can eat all the corn on the cobs, fried rice and wipe me down with hundred year old towels all day as long as my body is done well! Hurt so good! Too good. Mmmmh. I'll be back. read more

I am 39 weeks pregnant and came here asking for a reflexology session that would work on the areas of the body that supposedly can induce labor. The lady on the phone was very nice, said they do this sort of thing, and set me up with an appointment. The reflexology room and chair were relaxing and comfy. I am disappointed in my session. It was basically an hour long foot massage, with about a 60 second rub on my shoulders. I paid $35. When I look on the website, the $35 session is listed as follows: Elegant Reflexology | $35 (45 mins Head, Neck, Hands & Feet - 15 mins Back). Well, I got nothing done to my hands, nothing on my head, and only a minute massage on my shoulders. Not sure why mine was different. Either way, if I would've known I was coming in strictly for an hour foot massage I wouldn't have done it. read more

Im in dentistry and haven't been able to turn my neck to the right in months. I've had weekly massages for two months which helped but not fixed my problem. I saw this place just by driving by and thought I would give it a try. fortunately, they squeezed me in without an appointment and at first it seemed pretty painful until I figured out the reason it was painful was because he was working out the knots in my upper back and neck. The minute I sat up I could turn my head in both directions pain free. I never realize how that was affecting my entire back until he was finished. I will be returning monthl. This was a great last minute find! I've been experiencing sharp pains in the arches of my feet, so I needed to do something ASAP. I called this morning, and they were very nice and fit me in between their other appointments. The reason this isn't a 5 Star review is because no one communicated the process or what to expect during the massage. I asked for foot reflexology but got more of a full body massage. No problem at all. It just caught me a little off guard. They may want to address this ahead of time especially since they're including close to the pectoral muscles and the glutes. Some people may not be ok with that. I could hear the tv playing loudly in the back break room, and it made it a little more difficult for me to relax. There was also another customer getting a massage that was snoring LOUDLY. I'm talking the kind of loud snoring that would jolt you awake in the middle of the night. I wish someone would have gently awakened him. I understand that he was relaxed, but I was pretty distracted by his LOUD snoring and gasping for air. If you can, try to get there a little early and ask questions/communicate what you need and what to expect. I'll definitely try this place again, but I'll get there earlier and ask more questions up front. read more

Many reflexology places don't take pregnant women due to the risk of uterine contractions and cervical ripening when strong pressure is applied on certain points of the foot which may cause preterm labor. However, I've been going in since the very beginning of my pregnancy and they know exactly which points to avoid. They've helped a lot with my swollen legs and cramping. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a quiet, peaceful and clean environment to relax and get a nice foot rub. With COVID, they are taking great precautions by constantly sanitizing the whole place including the main door. They also wear a mask. read more

Just left.. Jack was my masseuse... I don't get massages often at all.. and I work out pretty often with weight lifting and such, so I carry a lot of built up tension and "knots" especially in my shoulder/neck area. He was especially great at noticing, well, EVERYTHING! I was thinking to myself.. if I ever get married.. I'm gonna need someone like THIS! Otherwise it's NOT worth it it wen from good to "BOOM", as did his tip when he hit JUST the right spots without my having to say a word. perfection. I will say this is a really clean place to get away for an hour and close your eyes and zone off. It's very fair as well in the pricing. What this is not is a massage or spa. This is a place where I believe most of the people providing the services are not formally trained or licensed. With that being said, the people here are very friendly and the service is good. But if you are coming in with an injury or a body part that is relatively stiff, this probably may not be the place for you. The main area where people get treatments is very quiet, there really is limited communication between the client and the person delivering the service, so no medical history review, no review of sensitive areas, etc. Take it for what it is worth, a nice quiet escape from every day life for an hour in a clean, dimly lit room. I would go back when in Houston if you need just 45 minutes away from the world. read more

After complaining to my fiancee and his mother about my recent shoulder pain, my future mother in law suggested I try out Amore Reflexology. Booking an appointment an hour before on a Monday at noon proved to be a breeze. The receptionist was very knowledgeable and friendly. I was greeted by name when I arrived and I must say I was nervous when I first saw the rather empty and scantily decorated reception area. My first impression was that it looked like a stereotypical nail place trying to do massages. Uhoh. But I was proved wrong! Once I was escorted back to my chair, the lights were dimmed nicely to create a serene ambiance and soft music played in the background. I appreciated the nice baskets they had at each station for my personal belongings. The towels on the chairs appeared freshly laid out and everything seemed clean and organized. They helped me in to soak my feet and got me settled under a blanket. First they massaged my shoulders, head and arms while I was on my back. I will pause here to say that you remain fully clothed. There were times the masseuse lifted up and pulled down the clothes to better massage certain areas but all in all you stay in your clothing ( I wore my Lulu Lemon capris and v neck with strapless bar so my shoulders would be bare) This was my first time doing reflexology and I have to admit, I didn't do much research on what the techniques entailed. Plus this place didn't have any reviews yet. There is a bit of stretching that they incorporate into the massage. I do a fair amount of pilates and other exercise classes so I didn't mind this part, but boy did I feel it! I could see others being bothered by it you're not the most flexible person. A few times, some of the massages came very close to more intimates areas, which I could also see as something that might make certain clients uncomfortable. After my shoulders, the masseuse moved down to my feet. Imagine the type of massage you get with a really good pedicure but extended for at least 15- 20 minutes. I enjoyed this but if I had my way, the whole time would have been spent on my achy shoulders( when I made the appointment they said you had to have the feet part though they could focus more of whatever area you told them for the majority of the session). Then I flipped over on my stomach for the back massage. I only had to ask once to go softer so if you like a deep tissue massage you would LOVE this. As write this review 9 hours later, I am definitely a bit sore especially on the front of my chest and the arches of my feet, but my shoulders feel much better. The masseuse definitely worked out the kinks I came in with. A little soreness is a sign of an effective massage right? For $35 you can't beat the price for so much massaging in 60 minutes. I did not feel rushed and the the experience was quite pleasant. You also get $5 off if you refer another client. The manager/receptionist asked who referred me and she said next time she comes in she will get the discount (while she wrote down my name, I'm guessing my mother in law will need to remember to say that I came on her referral so she gets the discount) The location is convenient and parking is plentiful. I think I was the only person there today, but if I ever were to come on a busier weekend, I would prefer to have a friend sit next to me, not a stranger! I'd also like to try a female masseuse which is what was originally recommended to me, but today they only had male. Amore is definitely worth a try especially if you are on a budget and not too self conscious. read more

This massage is likely unlike any massage you've gotten before, and that's exactly what makes it so great! Nestled in the shopping center (make sure to drive to the back of it), this place has become my new favorite spot for a massage. I called on a Saturday to make a last minute appointment and thankfully they were able to get me in that afternoon. Carrie was very helpful in explaining how the massage works. She explained that reflexology focuses on the idea that there are pressure points in our body that correspond to organs and muscles in our body. When pressed, these pressure points can provide relief for different areas of the body. You have to wear loose clothing for the appointment, as you will not take your clothes off (unlike a typical massage). Once we got there, we got taken to the room in the back that is dark and has soothing music and sounds playing. The entire hour was extremely relaxing and it was quite obvious that our therapists knew what they were doing. It was an hour of pure bliss. They begin with the head and neck, move on the arms, then the legs and feet and finally your back. It's so relaxing that I even heard some people fall aslee nearby! I also felt more comfortable being able to stay in my clothes, so that was a plus for me. The price also cannot be beat!! You would be hard pressed to find anywhere else in the area that provides such an incredible service for such a low price. I have been going to Amore for more than 2 years now and they are amazing. My favorite therapist is Ben, but I have had all the others when I want to come in at the last minute and he is booked. They each have their own style, but all are great. The owner, Carrie, is great at explaining the process and what to expect. As others have mentioned you remain fully clothed and lay in a comfortable reclining chair. I have taken a number of friends and family members with me to try Amore and all of them are hooked too. It is the first thing my out of town relatives ask about when coming to visit, "can we book a reflexology session?" Reflexology is different than massage in some ways, but very relaxing and people often fall asleep in the room. read more

After 3 days of BBQ Cookoff my boots killed my feet. Both of them were swollen and tender. I called a place near the medical center and they didn't have an opening. So I called Amore Reflex, they had a cancellation so they told me if I could be there within 10 minutes I could get a 1 hour chair foot soak and massage. I got there in 2 minutes and boy am I glad I did. Sad part is I didn't get the name of the man who took care of me. He thoroughly massaged my feet, ankles and calves after soaking my feet for what felt like 15 minutes. He also lightly massaged my neck, back and head. I desperately needed the foot soak and foot massage. Truly amazing! I'm so glad I found Amore Reflexology. The price was well worth $35. This isn't a traditional massage parlor it's a true reflexology. I was pleasantly pleased with the service and the business seemed clean and well staffed. I didn't visit the restroom so I cannot comment. Hope they take care of you should you choose to visit them. read more

This place is wonderful! They are quite skilled in reflexology. The technique is a little different but if you are looking for a quick Rejuvenation at an extremely fair price I would definitely check them out! They do massages in large chairs that will lay flat. They will typically start with your feet and then move on to more of a full body massage but you are completely closed. If you are a modest or shy person this is definitely the place for you to get a great massage and not have to strip down. I will go on my lunch break sometime since I work near by and get a quick massage. I would definitely recommend this place. read more

I had Michael and he literally fell asleep several times during my massage. It was terrible you could tell he did not want to be there from the minute he touched me. When I told the owner she said "Oh he hasn't fallen asleep on a customer in a while but he is probably bey tired because I haven't given him a day off" I was shocked to say the least and now I feel bad for Michael. Of course they want a tranquil atmosphere, but this has become a punitive and unpleasant experience.
