Came in for new lenses. I have a good half dozen pairs of Oakleys. Love the quality (of most of their frames). Was looking originally for the five squared frames. Walked in, got the multiple greetings from workers, and broke out my pair for service. John looked at them, asked when I had purchased (about 2 years ago), then grabbed a fresh pair saying that he'd be able to do half off if I trade in versus spending a bit more on just the lenses. Since I wasn't completely happy with the frames in the first place, decided to get a fresh pair of Straight Jackets (is my tried and true first pair bought 20+ years ago) in matte. Great sense of humor. Helpful service. And understood the task at hand. Although, I did make a joke that I'd update this review if my lens cleaner bottle is defective (the one I bought in TX with the five squared crapped out on me after only five uses). read more

John (middle aged, 5'4, beard with glasses) - Fragile ego escalated a non-issue/simple exchange. Brett, the store manager, raised his voice and remained confrontational throughout the interaction rather than doing what leadership should do -- listen, assess, and work toward understanding. I came in expecting a routine exchange and instead encountered an immediate wall of defensiveness from both the supervisor, John, and the store manager, Brett. John started in a condescending tone, said the missing outer box meant an exchange wouldn't happen, and repeatedly suggested the glasses had been worn and damaged. Brett then took over and pointed to what he claimed was a scratch before anyone tried the most basic step of cleaning the lens. I asked them to wipe it with solution before accusing me. Instead, the questioning continued and the situation felt more like an interrogation than customer service. John stood nearby staring at me and at times laughing, while both he and Brett spoke in a way that felt openly dismissive. With two members of management aligned against me, it was clear my explanation didn't matter. I told Brett his approach felt aggressive. John immediately responded that I was the aggressive one, and Brett denied being confrontational. Other customers in the store appeared visibly uncomfortable watching it unfold. Only after the lens was finally wiped did it become clear the mark was a smudge. Even after being proven wrong, the tone never reset. Employees are LYING to customers, telling them the Oakley Vanguard Meta Glasses can be used for live streaming on Instagram and Facebook even though the feature has been disabled months ago for Oakley Meta glasses (at least 3 months ago already)!!!!!!! They will feed you their lies and imaginary functions of their products until you buy their crap, and at full price too. Half of the functions don't work but you have to pay full price?? What a rip off! Don't trust them and certainly do NOT buy the meta glasses from them, you WILL BE DISAPPOINTED and RIPPED OFF. If you want meta glasses go buy them at Ray-Ban, at least they are more trustworthy. read more

Had a great experience here today with Brett! I have shopped here for years - this location has made a loyal Oakley customer out of me

I would never buy anything from this store. I came in to check out the Vanguard Meta glasses. While there, Brett was very helpful in answering any questions, i wasn't ready to buy because i wasn't sure if they were too dark to play with at night so i was going to wait for the lighter ones to come out. But he convinced me to give them a try (i play baseball) and if they were too dark i could return them no questions asked. I was excited so i took his word and purchased them. My first time trying them i quickly realized they were too dark so unfortunately I was going to have to return them. But i loved the glasses themselves so my plan was to return them and come back when the lighter ones came out which he assured me would be in a couple of weeks. So i go back to return them and immediately his entire mood was different upon the return (they work on commission so of course i knew right away he was going to try to make it hard on me to return them). He then takes the glasses and finds the tiniest of tiniest of small scratches on them and tells me he now all of the sudden cannot do a return because of the smallest spec on them and in order to return them they have to be resale-able, they don't sell open boxes so that didn't even make sense. If that tiny spec happened while it was in use then that convinces me to not get the glasses again if they are that brittle. Its a shame because not only did he cost his store my business but the plan was to have all 13 of my teammates buy those glasses once we fined tuned it and i would have been happy to bring them all to this store for how helpful they were. But this throws me off from this store in general, he just cost the store over $10,000 of business all from terrible work practices to try to hold on to commission. Going to reach out to their customer support, hopefully they will be much more helpful. read more

I went in to the Oakley store on Saturday and had called in advance to make sure they had the glasses I wanted. When I got there I met Dan. He took his time to help me understand all of my choices and had great product knowledge and enthusiasm. Because it was at night I was not ready to pull the trigger until I could see how the glasses looked in daylight. When I came the next day he even spent more time and we went outside al least 5 times trying out different lenses and frame styles. Thanks to Dan I have the perfect glasses that meet all of my needs and I could not be happier. I got the Flak Draft polarized, daily use prism. This level of customer service and product knowledge in retail is very uncommon. Another great thing about the store is inventory, they have everything. This is my local Oakley store. I visit the store several times a month. I've spent good money at this location, from sunglasses, to sports wear. I've been looking for a particular color hoodie/wind breaker for several months now and always peek in to see if they have new inventory. I know exactly what I'm looking for so I don't spend much time in the store. Since I visit this location on a regular basis, Shawn, or Sean, or Shaun (the guy with the terrible tattoos and Billy Idol hair) remembered what I was looking for and appeared frustrated when I told him I was still looking for the same item. He told me that the only item they had was the same one he showed me last time. However, it was his poor attitude that surprised me. I told him that I didn't mean to waste his time and that I knew they probably didn't have the item I needed. That is why I keep my earphones in and try to be as stealthy as possible. The last thing I want to do is waste anyone's time. Every time I have ever been in this store it has always been empty. Like I'm literally the only person in the store besides the employees. Well, after the experience I had today, it doesn't surprise me. Fortunately for me, Nike, Adidas, Footlocker, Etc, Etc, Etc... are within walking distance to this Oakley store. Until Oakley provides remedial training for this employee, I will never spend so much as a dime at this location.
