I had a pair of glasses, the Flak 2.0, that were a little too wide. They kept slipping off my face, and I needed a hat of some sort to keep them in place. My primary care optician, for whatever reasons, couldn't do an exchange. After a couple of consultations with store manager Joseph and optician Anthony, I went ahead and bought a new pair of Flak 2.0, ones that don't slide off, and it's made a huge difference!!! I had a great experience while visiting this Oakley store. Basically the only sunglasses brand I wear are Oakleys so I really wanted to visit this store. My current sunglasses is their Gauge 8 L and I accidently push it in so I wanted to see if this store had it. They actually did and I was able to look at it so I can shape my sunglasses back into the proper shape. I was also able to check out other sunglasses and see their new products. They also have shirts, hats and etc here as well. The store looked pretty stocked so they might have the sunglasses you're looking for. I parked at the Americana area because of the free 90 minute parking and it's easier to get in/out of the parking structure. read more

The selection of shades are great. Bought twice from this store. The workers there are friendly. Anthony helped me get my prescription lenses sized up on Holbrook frames. And wow they look great. Thanks to staff for a wonderful experience. Just my preference but if you get regular/ prescription get non polarized if the the rainbow effect bugs you on the screen or tinted windows. I usually goto Lenscrafters for my prescription lenses but i figured i would try Oakley out this time since my brother always gets his stuff done there. The staff is really friendly. No complaints whatsoever. I just felt that because it was close time I missed out on a lot of stuff they usually do when you order prescription lenses such as making sure the fitting will be correct and all of that. I got none of it done. But I mean it's ok I guess. I know my brother always gets a lot of stuff done when he goes. Then again, who wants to stay after hours right? so i gave them the benefit of the doubt. Couple days passed and my glasses are all scratched up now. Hopefully the warranty covers it. I hear the warranty is awesome here so we will see. read more

I had a great experience today at Oakley. Eli helped guide me to a couple products I was interested in, and talked to me about his life experiences with the goggles and his glasses. His sales strategy wasn't too pushy as he recomend a couple items and features of the Prizm lenses I didnt know about. I felt like he wasn't just reading off the specs on the box but rather relating the features to how they worked for him and could work for me. He had a lot of pride in the Oakley brand and explained how each lens makes a difference in what I am doing. I am a salesman myself and it was refreshing to talk to someone passionate and first hand knowledgeable. After I purchase my RX glasses I will be back for some shallow water prizm sunglasses. This Oakley store location is located on the 1st floor of the Glendale Galleria, towards the wing with Macy's (it is best to look at a directory to find the exact location). My husband and I decided to stop by this location yesterday evening just to browse because of their special family and friends' discount going on right now (30% off total purchase, through April 1). As soon as we entered the store, we were greeted by 2 friendly employees. Unfortunately my husband and I did not see anything we really liked at this store and so our visit was rather short. But I did look around the store and wished there were more items in the women's section of this store (as it seems to be quite limited). I will probably be back here to browse the store again in the future (maybe even for the next family & friends' sale). read more

I came in here looking for something to keep my Four Squares from falling off my face (other than those silly chords you clip on the back). As expected, I was told that Oakley doesn't sell anything like that. BUT, then another employee, named Karina, stopped me and told me she had a customer come in with the same issue and had the solution. She pulled from under the counter a bin of raw parts from other glasses, pulled out some rubber backings, and rolled them onto my glasses. Problem solved! And it even looks like they're meant to be there. And the service & parts were free of charge Karina was incredibly resourceful and friendly the entire time. I've never had such wonderful customer service in a store before. She didn't have to do what she did, and I'm sure most employees at most stores would've just said 'sorry' and let me go on my way. This store goes above and beyond with their customer service. I've always had good experiences here, but they outdid themselves this time. Ray and Jessica deserve a medal. I went in for a service request on a Keel Blade. I unscrewed the earpiece and couldn't get it back on. Why? Because the holes didn't align. Why? Because they're spring-y and complicated, and rely on factory-grade assembly to put it together...plus, why would anyone ever want to remove it anyway? (I was experimenting...didn't work out) This is what Jessica found after trying for a few minutes. She brought out an impressive toolkit full of various screws and tools, and I applaud her for the noble effort. But, this started to seem like it would have to be a job for the factory. Then, Ray came along to give it a shot. For the next 10 minutes or so, I felt like I was watching a miracle unfold before my eyes. He gripped the frame like a vice in one hand, and performed a series of screw techniques with the other, while trying out different screws and improvising solutions. Keep in mind: this was a job for the factory. Instead, Ray's technical knowledge, practical ingenuity and amazing craftsmanship got the job done. He used a long tapered screw to merge the pieces together, and a sophisticated screwing technique to align them flush together as good as new. As a result, the screw was sticking out a few centimeters. I would have been fine with it, but he automatically cut it down and polished the metal so that this was as perfect as possible. Hell of a craftsman. No way I could do that. (He even cleaned the lenses!) Keep in mind... I didn't spend any money on this visit. Yet, the staff treated me with the utmost care, courtesy and warmth. Poor customer service!!! I went in to purchase a pair of sunglasses I saw on the Internet. "R" looked bothered that I had asked for help in seeing if item was in stock and if I could try them on. Didn't even know which pair I was asking for though I had asked for it by name. Said he was "new". The nose pad was crooked on the pair I tried on. "R" said I could adjust it myself. "It's no big deal." After purchasing and trying unsuccessfully to correct the nose pad, I returned to the store to exchange the pair I had bought. Once again "R" was there. And once again, he looked annoyed I was even there. Said they were out of stock and exchanged them with the floor model. (I figured having the floor model was better than having an ill fitted pair.) "R" basically threw the floor model back into the bag I had bought in. I asked if he could at least clean them up a bit and he acted as if I had asked him for a huge favor. Called the store the next day to complain about the poor service. Turns out "R" was NOT a new employee but had worked there for a few years. (Can't believe he lied about something so stupid!) Not only that, he was one of the managers. The female supervisor/manager I spoke to on the phone was nice. She listened, apologized and said she'd talk to "R". However, since he's a manager, do I really expect him to improve? She suggested I come in when he's not around. I really love the pair of sunglasses I bought. I'm a total Oakley geek. I love anything and everything Oakley and consider myself to be a "collector" of their sunglasses. I needed to pick up some spare parts for my sunglasses and the first person that helped me knew exactly what i wanted and was very friendly. Then i asked if they had spare parts for a very old pair of glasses and the manager chimed in and ran to the back to check for me. She came back out with baggies full of stuff, but unfortunately didn't have what i needed. In regards to the poor reviews below, you have to keep in mind that sales staff change all the time and some people just don't have great customer service. I'm really picky and require a lot of attention as well as catering to when shopping.These 2 employees were very helpful when selecting a pair of pricey sunglasses as well as patient, especially considering I took 1.5 hours to pick out a pair. I also appreciated the fact they didn't try and sell me the most expensive pair and weren't pushy as far as the sale went. I went to the Oakley Glendale store to replace the lenses on my Straight Jacket. I walked in and was greeted by Gary. Told him what I wanted and he took care of it right away. Switched out the lenses and the ear socks. Great job. While he was taking care of my glasses, I began looking at their custom glasses monitor. Put together custom project for the Crankshaft. Told Gary, I wanted to pick up a pair. He started looking for the necessary parts to put my custom order together. Unfortunately, they didn't have the frames in the exact color I wanted. I was preparing myself for the old "I can order it and ship it to you" line. Surprisingly, he went to check the pee-made stock. Found the frames but the lenses were the wrong ones. Surprising me again, he went out of his way to find the lenses I wanted and swap them out. Enter Kevin, and his magic on ringing me up on the mods I requested and not incorrectly charging me. Great customer service from both these guys! Thank you. The store itself is neat and organized. Great selection of items. Definately be coming back! read more

Been buying Oakley for years, but the quality has gone downhill fast. The latest ones I bought were Square wire whose nose pads are the flimsiest I've ever seen in a pair of glasses. It broke within two days of buying them. to make things worse, they don't sell replacement pads because they want to "keep the quality of their glasses by only selling the frames in one piece". More like milk more money from you so you'll have to buy a whole new frame because of a crappy design. read more

WHAT A F**KED UP MISTAKE THAT WAS! Lord-a-mighty I have spent hundreds of dollars at this store but i tell you now, NO MORE. The clerks were not occupied at all, yet I spent 10 minutes looking at the Half Jacket Special Forces glasses before this half wit asked if I needed help, disinterest in her voice dripping off likes sap from a rotting tree. Yes , you may help me! Where is the door so I can exit ASAP and log on to Amazon.com! These morons are the reason retailers are closing up shop, no customer service to be seen anywhere. I saw more life from a greeter at WalMart getting paid next to nothing than from someone who supposed to sell me expensive eyewear. At least I saved some $$$ read more

I totally have to disagree with Christina O. ! The store is clean, organized, and have a lot of selection with their shades. Although, not a lot of selections for women, the employees makes up for it. They provide excellent customer service and is always available to answer any questions. If a product isn't available, they are happy to place an order for you or simply call another store to see if it's available at a different location. Even though their selection is the same as what you can find online, I found that I needed to put the glasses on before making the purchase. As such, I would always buy my glasses from there. I went in this past weekend, and the store has changed overall. Customer service has dropped off. It has been a steady decline over the years. Bad customer service. The guy helping us sold us on the trade-in program. Then when we were ready to pay he kept telling us to wait coz he didn't know how to ring us up. Meanwhile he made two other sales. Then once the store was empty he said oh I guess I can do it. We waited for like 30 minutes! When I asked when will we be rung up, he would just say oh don't worry you'll be next the girl that knows how to ring that up will help you soon. In the end he did it, he knew how to do it but preferred to make two other sales first. Never will buy here again and my fiancé buys a pair every year! read more

If you are planning to purchase an Oakley gift card or do an online purchase from Oakley website, I highly advise against it. I was given $250 in gift cards and because there is not an Oakley retail store near me, I shopped online. I mistakenly believed their easy return policy but have since learned that returning anything with them is highly unlikely. I purchased two bags from their online store and upon receiving them realized that would not meet my needs but thought two other items would. Because the items were bought with a gift card I was told I would need to return the items and then repurchase the new items using newly issued gift cards. In July I returned the items, in their original packaging but also purchased a new box to mail them back at the cost of $10 since they advised that they be sent back in a box even though I was sent the items in a bag. So the free return now cost me $10. Do not believe that the items will be processed in 10 days. On August 12 I called the company and was told the items were received and refunded in full and I should receive the gift cards in the mail after another 7 to 14 days. On September 3 I was told that the gift cards were in the mail and should get them in the next day. On Sep 8 I called and was told since I had not received the cards yet, they would 2 day express me new cards and should receive them that week and to stay home on that Friday to sign for the package. After rearranging my schedule, the cards were not sent so I called again on September 15 to see why not. I was told that the cards had not been issued but would be either that day or the next and that I would not have to sign for them this time. Then later on the 15th I received a generic email from customer service saying it would take 2 days to process the cards and I would have to be home to sign for the express mail once they were sent. Since I am calling the same company and each time told the cards are in the mail I can only assume that that Oakley is lying and simply saying they are refunding the money when they are certainly not doing it. Oakley admits the goods were returned in refundable condition so why has it taken over one month to process a refund? You would think at this point Oakley would be flexible enough to just let me place my new order and forget about returning the gift cards to repurchase items. Returning items to Oakley is anything BUT easy. This is the epitome of poor customer service. Please reconsider any purchase you might make from Oakley online. They are nonresponsive to customer needs and outright deceive you when giving you status updates. Unless you are willing to be extremely vigilant about getting a return, I would highly recommend you use another company. read more

I visit this store at least once a month. Most of the female staff is friendly. The last 2 times I have went there, one girl in particular has been great-( young white brunette) She welcomes everyone that walks in and goes out of her way to make the store seem fun to shop in. I recently went in with an exchange item, I had no receipt and she worked with me to allow me to get an item I really wanted. She explained to me the store policy but it was in a manner that seemd friendly and accepting. I had went in earlier in the month on 2 occasions and saw a different employee ( she acted snobby and was very unkept) and all she was doing was playing her ipad and using her phone. I think people should look the part when they are representing a company. The girl that exchanged my item was friendly, was well dressed and I never saw her pre-occupied with anything but her job.Ill continue to shop there if I see her working but if the other girl is there I'll come back. read more
