You can find some good local beers from Three Floyds, Pipeworks, and Revolution but that's about it. Not the most extensive selection, there are maybe six doors of random craft beers, lots of Leinies and Mikes. The layout of the store is cramped. All these reviews rave about the owner, which seemed a little odd since they didn't say much about the actual store. I'd been a few years ago and it was your typical liquor store. The new owner seems to have cleaned it up, there was incense burning and the clerk was friendly enough. Score is 3.5 rounded up.

If there is something that you want and don't have in stock, they will order it for you. Not sure about a liquor or wine, their knowledgeable staff is there to assist. They even offer delivery too. The holidays is where they really shine, we phoned ahead and they had our order ready to go. I'm looking forward to finding the time to open the bottle of the 1738 Cognac they recommended and relaxing in my well worn leather chair with a roaring fire and enjoying both a good book and a snifter of cognac.

Now that I want to move my liquor cabinet to my new home, Benny's Montgomery says no on a Monday when they said yes on Saturday when they allowed me to take 3 boxes. That was not quite enough, so I was in for 2 more. Which I stated clearly to the three staff chatting at the service desk. This may seem a small thing to many (and it probably is). It unfortunately,is a big deal to me at this very moment. Especially when there are over 10 boxes sitting empty by each cash register. I get that they want to make sure there are boxes for everybody that needs them. It is their inconsistent behavior, it is the lack of placing limits but allowing those in a particular need to fill that small need at a specific point in time without having to make a purchase. This policy needs to be reviewed and until it is, there are other options. Benny's just lost hundreds of my dollars per year because of this choice. Please look at the small, independent person when you are purchasing your liquor. Please, help them. I went to a local store and they gave me 2 boxes quite freely. Even though I had never shopped at their store. Please consider this when you are purchasing liquor and other commodities. Please, think small and think local! I sure will going forward for this particular commodity.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE…read more.. My friend and I stopped by the store to get a bottle of vodka and some lemonade. We were about to check out when my friend accidentally dropped one of the lemonade bottles (they have nothing to put your items in I.E. a basket) the cashier then shouted from behind the counter and raced over, we had apologized before he even came over and we exclaimed that we would pay for it. He remained belligerent and boasted that we have created more work for him. We reassured him that we'll pay for it and tried to defuse the situation by telling him once again that we were sorry. We then checked out as the man continued to make rude remarks towards us. As I stated at the beginning TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. 10/10 would not recommend unless you enjoy getting yelled at.

Most of the products here are high-end or of the craft variety and are very reasonably priced. My only issue is the bathrooms aren't always the cleanest whenever I stop by. The selections of Woodman's is very massive. It is very easy to get lost in this grocery chain. However, you must visit the cheese aisle. It is amazing! And there no way to won't find a cheese you need. Prices are always better than other groceries chain. Their craft beer selection is also impressive. I've been able to find beers I was looking for on multiple occasions here by chance. I love IPAs and Sours and they have a variety of both. Some of the staff has even gotten to know me and suggested beers they just got or are expecting to get soon. Speaking of the staff going above and beyond, my dad had an awesome experience I have to share. He called asking if they carried a specific beer. They didn't, but they called him later to let him know they ordered it and just got it in!
