Best liquor store I have been to great customer service all of them are like family to me

Saw the high reviews here and stopped in recently. It's a decent liquor store, don't get me wrong, but the beer selection is fairly limited. You can find some good local beers from Three Floyds, Pipeworks, and Revolution but that's about it. Not the most extensive selection, there are maybe six doors of random craft beers, lots of Leinies and Mikes. The layout of the store is cramped. All these reviews rave about the owner, which seemed a little odd since they didn't say much about the actual store. I'd been a few years ago and it was your typical liquor store. The new owner seems to have cleaned it up, there was incense burning and the clerk was friendly enough. Score is 3.5 rounded up. read more

First and Foremost if you buy any vaping products from this location, check them. They sold me a fake posh XL... I thought it was weird that it was such a low price, but the packaging seemed legit. I looked it up online to confirm it and it came out as a possible fake. I took it to a vape shop and they pointed out many different factors to why it was fake. Small liquor store with a great selection of scotch, wine, and beers--for example Anchor Steam, Bells, Unibroue, Dogfish Head, New Belgium, Sierra Nevada, Flying Dog, Left Hand, Two Brothers, Lagunitas, Samichlaus, Rogue, Abbaye de Leffe, Steigl, Three Floyds, North Coast, etc., and a decent variety of international brews. Lalji is an absolute shining example of what every whiskey and beer aficionado looks for in a liquor store owner. Liquor Lane has an expansive selection of beer, wine, and liquor, and the owner Lalji is extremely knowledgeable about what he sells. if he doesn't have what you're looking for, he knows enough about his products to be able to offer an educated alternative. prices are incredibly reasonable as well. it's quickly becoming my "go-to" store! read more

We went to this store on the recommendation of a friend. We walked in not knowing to expect but were incredibly impressed with our experience. We went in for Schafly's pumpkin ale (a great beer if you like pumpkin beer) but they were unfortunately out. We werent upset at all because the owner took it upon himself to find a great alternative that my boyfriend ended up loving. He then took the time to help me find several wines that were both in my price range and tasted excellent. Even though we went in for one item in particular we were so impressed with the owner's product knowledge, friendliness and helpfulness that it will be our go to liquor store from here on out. read more

I read some reviews about the customer service at Liquor Lane and I had the same fantastic experience with Lalji. He greeted us as soon as we walk in and said to let him know if we had any question or if we were looking for specific product. We browsed the craft beers looking for a specific beer by Pipeworks and couldn't find it. He told us it had already sold out and it was a limited run. Lalji told us that Pipeworks had a new beer that was just released and he was hoping to get a case in the next delivery. He took the time to look up what others beers Pipeworks is offering and made a few suggestions. Top notch customer service. read more

Lalji is like a celebrity here, people! I don't get to this place as often as my husband, but they're both foodies and I'm NOT joking, they cook for each other. We moved into the area about a year ago and it only took a few times for Lalji to know us on a first name basis and treat us like family (of which I'm sure he has the same rapport with all of his usual customers). I love this liquor store. It's right next to my friends apartment and we go there quite a bit. I believe it may be the owner but he is always so friendly and remembers me I always see him offering and helping suggest things to customers. I have been exclusively buying my alcohol from this store for just under 2 years. It's management has been unbelievably great since the new owner took over. If you have a question about anything they carry, or don't carry - it will be answered. Of any business owner in any industry, he goes above and beyond to take care of us customers. He treats us more like family than people just coming in to spend money. He will learn your name, learn your preferences, order things for you to try with your favorites in mind. He also has the cheapest cigarettes around. Don't spend your money at big box grocery stores with limited selections, or worse, the independent liquor stores that mark up their prices to put more money in their pocket. This company is honest, hard working, and they truly care about their shoppers. No matter where I am going or coming from, I will always go out of my way to shop at Liquor Lane. read more
