Great place for a lunch break! I come here often for my lunch break. They have delicious sandwiches and wraps. I must confess I have yet to try a hamburger. Mainly because I've been with people who have ordered them and they are huge. So big. So I stick with something lighter that I can (mostly) finish and not have to bring back to work with me. I don't want a food coma while at work! I've been told they are really yummy. The burgers don't come with a side, but you can order french fries separately. Sides options for sandwiches and wraps are macaroni salad, ruffle potato chips, apple slaw, and fruit. I've tried all the sides except the fruit (due to allergies). The ruffle chips are just that. Apple slaw wasn't my thing. The macaroni salad is alright so that's usually what I get. I normally eat that last if I am still hungry. The sandwiches and wraps are the true stars here! Someday I will go on a Friday for their Fish Fry Friday special, which is fish and chips. They also have Happy Hour 11-8 on Fridays. Tip: Grab a menu and then head to the counter to order. They don't come to you for your order. Utensils, napkins, condiments, and drinks are all located to the side so don't forget to grab those before you sit down! read more

One of my go-to lunch spots! The owners are super friendly and they have an extensive, interesting menu of sandwiches, salads, burgers, etc. good portion sizes and affordable prices. I wish they were open for dinner! read more

I like this place, they're friendly, it's clean, quick easy place for lunch! For all of that I am giving it 5 stars. However, I love tuna, one of my favorite lunches. Please, please, stop using ungodly amounts of mayonnaise in your tuna! You can add, but you cannot take away! I picked up a to go sandwich today and no exaggeration there had to have been at least 1/3 of a cup of mayonnaise on my sandwich mixed with the tuna.I couldn't eat it! I don't want to be petty and give you a lousy "star"rating based on the ginormous amount of mayonnaise in your tuna. but hope you'll please take this constructive criticism! Thank you! read more

Stopped in for a sandwich today and it was excellent. It was warm, and the bread was nice and soft. They have outdoor covered seating and the service was great and pretty darn fast. I had the Monty Hall and it consisted of turkey with green chile along with some apple slaw. I'll be back and if you haven't given it a try, you definitely should. read more

Very pleasantly surprised that I live so close to this location and had no idea how good their food was. We stopped by at lunch time and got one of the best sandwiches ever. They had a great variety of sandwiches, great service and friendly atmosphere. read more

This place is close to where I work, and reliable af. Honestly, everything on the menu is good. Try it all! Their take-out is quick and fresh with a separate spot at the counter to jump the line and pay and be out the door. If you are planning on eating at the restaurant, it's a little different. You cannot sit at a table designated for a certain amount of people unless you have that # of people. So if you are coming with less than 4 people, plan on sitting at a community table. It gets busy. I think the female owner who runs the register is an introvert being forced to do an extroverted task all day everyday, and she doesn't hide it. So when she's not friendly or slightly rude - it's not you, friend. Just smile at her and eat your yummy yummy food with a bunch of strangers. read more

The food is good. The owner/cook guy is super friendly. If you are expecting your mom to bring your utensils, that ain't happening! All in all a go to place read more

So rude I went in for lunch and asked to see the menu. I was met with disdain and condisetion. I just walked out. I don't know if the foods any good I won't be treated that way and pay for a meal. read more

A colleague and I needed a quick lunch between appointments . The menu was amazing and we both had phenomenal salads. Service was great and really friendly. I will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu. read more

The burger was really good, but the woman who dropped it off was super rude. She asked why we needed a knife and fork for our burger and told me to go get my mustard and napkins (not provided when the food was dropped) myself. It was the first time I've been, but probably my last, due to her extremely poor customer service. read more

I got the Al Capone sandwich and chips. The sandwich was delicious. It was very clean inside and the staff was nice. Food came out very quick! read more

ALWAYS FANTASTIC!!! The owners are nice and always attentive to the guests. I recommend the mushroom burger. The walls are decorated with cool ballon fiesta memorabilia. read more

I do love their sandwiches here! Their food is fairly priced and it does come with a hefty amount on your plate. I definitely will continue coming here (as I'm a regular). I do wish they were open longer. I always seem to crave them at 3/4 which is around when they close :( My recommendation is the Al Capone sandwich. It's to-die-for! read more

Excellent lunch. Fresh, fair priced, large selection. Where the locals eat. Great black iced tea!

Awful service. Food is basic. The experience would have been decent if the woman working up front didn't have such a chip on her shoulder. I don't understand why it's so hard to answer questions on and be kind. First time and last time there. read more

Yummy food. Very busy location during midday, if you are looking for something a little more subdued, I might recommend a different establishment for the lunch hour. I would definitely recommend the wraps; the combinations are delicious. read more

Kids love the food, the ambiance is great and they love to ring the bell on their way out.

I have to say this was an awesome surprise. While it is set in a mini strip mall once you enter the doors to go in it is a little gem. On this day the place was very busy but with the service we received you would never know. My daughter ordered a salad that she loved and had to take some home. I ordered a modified wrap and it was outstanding. It's a family owned business and the owner Robert is the most down to earth nicest guy you could ever meet. Very humble. So glad we went and got to experience an outstanding visit. We will be back a hundred more time. It's all about feeling welcomed and that exactly how Robert made us feel. You must try the Oak Tress Cafe on Alameda!!! read more

Unfortunate review because the food was really good, but the staff was passive aggressive towards us the second we walked in because we had my 4yo son with us. It said on the front door that they didn't have kids menus available, but nowhere did it say no kids. Then my son wanted to sit at the bar but wasn't allowed and then chose the bar style, "community" table in the middle of the restaurant. Mid-meal we were asked to move so other people could sit in our seats and then they didn't even offer to help moving our multiple plates and baskets. There were plenty of other tables available that they could've put together to handle the larger group that took our place. And to top it off 3 burgers and an order of fries and 3 drinks was $40. The food was good but not $40 worth of good. I don't recommend it. read more

Oak Tree Cafe is little locally owned, cozy cafe with outdoor and indoor seating. The owners were nice and checked on our table. The food came out fast and was made from quality ingredients. We both had the BLT which was loaded down with bacon and featured a spicey mayo. We both loved it. I wish we had one in our little Texas town! We would be regulars. Thank you, Albuquerque for making our visit so welcoming and fun. read more

Best place in Albuquerque for lunch. The Monty Hall has been my favorite for the past 20 years. I love the southwest chicken salad. The grilled chicken is awesome and the burgers are fresh made in house, no frozen meat here. The staff are friendly. I am not the only one that is a long time customer. You can tell as they welcome customers by name. Best food in Albuquerque. Thank you Oak Tree Cafe for great food and great service. read more

The name does not match the place but those are details I can get over. The family sports bar feel is relaxing and the windows let you see the mountains in the distance. Nice little patio with 16 beers on tap. The food is good and you can go healthy or with classic pub food. Friday Fish and Chips really rocked! Check this place out, you will not be disappointed. read more

Another restaurant completely unwilling to accommodate gluten allergies. It's so difficult to find a place that will even try. The worst part is that I called ahead of time before a work meeting and no one answered the phone. I tried to call three times. When I got there, they basically just said, "There's flour everywhere", then went to the customers behind me and complained about me having an allergy. Super embarrassing. Sorry, I didn't ask to be born this way! read more

Went for lunch today...huge disappointment!! Ordered sweet potato fries with a burger, received a total of 14 wimpy, limpy fries for $4.00, 28 cents per fry!! Really? This place used to be in our top 5 places for lunch during the week...not anymore. Didn't mind paying a premium price for a burger that was prepared with quality, and quantity, up until now... If your're going to charge premium prices for something we can all get at some other burger joint for less money, your product should be flawless, right down to the amount of fries. FYI...customers hate feeling cheated. It's time to evaluate what's going on in your kitchen. read more

Oak Tree Cafe - This is what I got for a $4.00 order of sweet potato fries!! Rip off!! - Bars Near Me - Albuquerque, New Mexico

First time here, food was good. I am unsure why they charged one price for a side of fries and a different price for fries for my husband ordered. The cashier never specified small or large. They need to be more specific on the register itemized items or it looks like they are charging what ever they want, to who ever they want. read more

I used to frequent the old location on Menaul which is now closed (I believe). As with most of the places I'm a regular at, I usually stick with one or two menu items. The Capone is my go-to sandwhich here and it has gotten better over the years. I think it's the bread. It's near perfection. The pasta salad is the side I always get and of course a side of Italian dressing which I dip my sandwhich into and pour into my pasta side. This location has nice decor, is clean and the service is very good. Pricing is about right compared to other similar sandwhich shops. A one star knock for being slightly skimpy on the meat (two more slices of meat would be nice) but I have to say...I get pretty full after lunch here and I'm a BIG eater. You make a solid sandwhich, Rob. Keep it up! read more

Seriously amazed- for a bit I felt like I was no longer in Albuquerque, felt like I was back in Denver or San Diego! Seriously comfortable atmosphere, well laid out decor with friendly staff. The owner is amazing with his staff and is openly appreciative with them. I ordered the Extreme and my wife the Swiss Gobler. Both were fresh and seriously tasty! The fried pickles were prefectly lightly battered and not greasy tasting. As soon as we walked in weer were fondly greater and the owner asked if I would like to taste a few doesn't beers. My cousin goes to the university right next to here, so we stopped in one day between her classes. I was a little discouraged at first when I went to order one sandwich but they didn't have all if the ingredients to make it, so I picked a random sandwich to get. I really enjoyed it! And my grandma, aunt, and cousin all liked theirs too! Another plus would be that they're pet friendly, the server said she would open the back patio for us to bring the dog in. Very friendly! If I were ever in the neighborhood again, I wouldn't hesitate to go back. read more

I have eaten at this place a few times and it has always been good, however on the last 2 occasions the food and service from the cashier has not been up to par.. Nice little 'modern' cafe. Good food, good portion sizes. Some with NM flair, some standard. Fries were soggy, but onion rings were great. Very busy during lunch. Order at counter and they bring food to you. Self serve beverages too, so not much service to rate.
