I called at 8am and he picked up immediately. I told him that my battery light was on and my car was making a weird almost grinding noise and he was able to immediately diagnose it as a failing alternator. He was very knowledgeable explaining in detail why my car was making the weird noises and said he could be there in about an hour or so and would pick up an alternator on the way. He was there by 10am and was super friendly. The whole job took him maybe half an hour to an hour. His prices were also cheaper then what goodyear quoted me for the repair. He accepts cash or venmo in payment and unfortunately my venmo wasn't working at the time and wouldn't let me pay him and he told me he trusted me to pay him later. Luckily my boyfriend pulled up shortly after and was able to front the money for me but it's rare to find such good down to earth mechanics. Yesterday, my car was working fine all day. When I went to start the car after a day at work, it refused to start. No sounds, no nothing, the lights came on. Thought this was an ignition switch, but I'm not a mechanic, so I did a quick Google search on my phone and this business showed up as a first result with good reviews from Yelp (though there's some bad reviews from Google users, not sure why) Mike picked up at 6:30 PM and after I explained the issue to him, he told me he is not able to get to my location at that time, but can come the next day at 2 PM. I was fine with that, it was in a workplace parking spot, so it wasn't a major inconvenience. I got a ride home. Next day, Mike texts me at 6 AM in the morning me know he can get here by 10:30 AM. An hour later, he texts me again letting me know he can get to my workplace early after finishing a job elsewhere. I hauled butt to my workplace. He got there much earlier than I expected and I was able to show him to my car. Mike was very professional and friendly. He explained what he was going to do and he certainly looks like a guy who has lots of stories to tell. He ran some tests, thinking it was the battery, but it wasn't (as I had it replaced just a year ago). He smacked the starter and my car started right up, so it was obviously the starter at fault (my last replacement was 5 years ago, which is unfortunate). Mike said he will let me know the price, then after I agreed he worked on the car right at that spot while I was in my workplace working. He calls me after he's done, we talk story a little bit, I pay him, and that was it. The entire process took less than 2 hours; he had to get himself an aftermarket replacement but there is an auto parts store near where I work, so it was highly convenient. I didn't have to take the pains of driving my car to some mechanic's shop, dropping it off, heading to work and picking it up afterwards and since he was finished before lunch I could hop in my car and head out to lunch! Quick, friendly, efficient. Reasonable price (remember you do pay a minor premium for mobile mechanics, but the convenience is worth it). Hopefully this is the last starter I need to get changed before a new car. Mike also offered to change my slightly leaking valve cover gasket for less than my usual mechanic, so I may take him up on that offer the next time I have some money to spare. read more

I just had one of the best customer service experiences since living in Hawaii. My truck wouldn't start and it's a 2003 GMC Yukon XL. I troubleshooted it down to the starter. I bought a new starter online to avoid the jacked up prices and then called shops that I've worked with in the past to have it installed. Yes, I fully realize shops make a lot of money on parts. But this is not a difficult replacement. Both shops refused to do it with user-supplied parts. I happened upon this service and saw that it was a mobile repair with really good reviews. I called and the owner said he could be here within an hour. He was actually here in 30 minutes. When I explained what I had tested and he verified a couple of those things he went on to immediately replace the starter. That was the problem, he fixed it incredibly quickly, inexpensively, and even added oil to my truck when I never even asked. He could not have been more professional and absolutely made my day. The word I would use to describe this experience is epic! I run my own business so I know how hard it is to be in business and this is an amazing company and I highly, highly recommend them. read more

My car broke down at my job so I was making arrangements to have it towed to a dealer in town. Before making the call I search the Internet for a Mobile mechanic who might be able to do the job where my car was rather than having it towed and possibly needing to leave it overnight. I was fortunate enough to find Mike from Mobile repair solutions who agreed to come and make the repairs as needed. He showed up at my car within two hours of first contacting him with a new starter in all the tools necessary to get the job done. He was very friendly and personable not to mention knowledgeable about every aspect of my car. We agreed upon a price that was lower than the dealer would have charged me and he got to work. He Had to take half of my engine apart to get to the starter but was able to do the job and get my car put back together within three hours of arrival. He did a great job and was very professional throughout the process. I would highly recommend him for any automobile repairs. My only regret is not finding him sooner because I have wasted so much time and money bringing my car to different shops for repairs in the past when I could have called Mike and saved time and money. read more

I must admit, I was a bit skeptical at first because there are only two reviews on here, but I chocked it up to being a newer business (I found out later he has good reviews on other sites as well). I'm glad I went with my gut and trusted my instincts. The service could not have been quicker. The problem with my car was diagnosed fast and fixed quickly. The mechanic and I built up a great rapport very fast. He charged a fair price for the parts and labor and on top of that he guaranteed the part for a year and offered to fix it free of charge if anything was wrong with it. Finding a GOOD mobile mechanic is very hard -I should know, cause I've found lots of bad ones! I found Mike on yelp and contacted him because of his high ratings an reviews and decided to take a chance. Called him around 7:30 Sunday night (!) and left a voicemail. About 5 minutes later I received a text asking for details of repair I needed done (front brakes for 2005 Nissan Pathfinder). To make a long, detailed story short: he was there The next morning at 8:45, did the brakes very quickly and efficiently, gave some great input into other issue we are experiencing, charged very reasonable rates ($250 for pads and $50 more for one rotor), was friendly and experienced. I don't see how this mobile mechanic has 5 stars from other reviewers. I called him because of the 5 star review here. This is my experience with Mike. I emailed him from his website on Thursday afternoon, and I never got a response back that evening. So, I called him and left a message. He texted me back the next day Friday, to get more info about my car. I texted him the info. He said that he'll try to fit me in that day. I never heard back from him. Saturday morning, I texted him and see if he could come see my car that late afternoon. He couldn't because he's going out that night. I tried my best to accommodate him into my schedule, but he seems to not want to accommodate me in his schedule nor attempt or try to schedule an appointment with me. So I asked him when can he be available to see my car, he ghosted me. Never heard from him again. That is the most unprofessional way to deal with a customer. I don't know his reason for ghosting me. I can only guess that maybe 1) I'm too far from his "office"? Then he shouldn't claim that he goes island wide. 2) He doesn't know how to fix my type of car, or my job was too big for him? He should've been honest and professional enough to tell me that, and I would've respected his response. 3) He doesn't want to work later on weekends? Then he should change his hours of operation to close early on the weekends, so he can go out and party, who doesn't like to party? I can't tell you why Mike acted this way. It's just really rude and unprofessional to ignore a customer just trying to give him business. He did a similar thing to a coworker of mine. He never gets back to people. She had to call him several times to get an answer. The final answer that he gave her was that her car is too old and not worth fixing. I wouldn't waste my time with this auto mechanic. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I called Mike with Oahu Mobile Mechanics. we made an appointment to meet at my house at 9am on Nov 1st. At 930am when he still was not there, I sent him a text. He replied stating he was getting parts. I asked him how much longer and he said - he would be there by 11am! Stupid me - I waited and he never showed up. I left at 1130am. I sent him a text telling him I had to go and thanks but no thanks. He never responded. I would highly recommend NOT going with this company. read more
