This restaurant popped up under Hot and New in my neck of the woods so I had to give it a try! Friendly counter staff thanked us for coming out in inclement weather. They have a large dining room and the whole restaurant looked clean and well kept. I'm assuming they are doing some dine-in service but nobody was inside when we came to pick up takeout about 30 minutes before close. I appreciated the sign on the door stating that anyone who entered had to wear a mask. We sampled quite a few dishes: crab rangoon, teochew noodle soup, almond fried chicken, Hong Kong style chow mein (a house special), and shrimp and snow peas. My husband really enjoyed the soup which came with shrimp, pork liver, ground pork, and a piece of beef shank. I couldn't get enough of the crab rangoon and shrimp with snow peas. I was less impressed with the chow mein. The noodles, although flavorful, had turned too soft by the time we made the short drive home. Maybe they wouldn't be this way if dining at the restaurant but I'm not sure I would order these again. The almond chicken had a fantastic crunch but didn't have any almonds sprinkled over it (I think they were in the batter). The sauce that came with it was tasty. The white rice was just okay--a little on the dry side (this is coming from a serious rice connoisseur), although they were nice enough to give us a large portion. I GREATLY appreciated the liners they used in their containers--no styrofoam taste to any of our dishes. Wish they could be more environmentally friendly though. I also love the old school menu which includes lunch specials and combo dinners for up to six people. There are a few things on the menu that I'll try when we return, such as the lemon chicken, honey walnut prawns, or sautéed green beans. We decided to give Ming a try. Food: so far after living in Washington State this place has the most tasty mandarin style Mongolian Beef. Just the right ratio of meats vs onions. Flavor was definitely there. Service: I think she was the owner. Very friendly and didn't charge me for the side of white rice I added at the last minute. Overall I like the food and service. It was Saturday evening and my family & I were searching for something different to eat. There's usually no good Chinese restaurants in Everett. However, this Ming Garden came up in the Hot & New. When I saw the pictures of HK Style Chow Mein, I knew this was going to be good. I ordered Sizzling Rice Soup - I actually prefer this level of thickness over the one at T&T Seafood in Edmonds. I also ordered The Hong Kong Style Chow Mein, Crispy Beef in Sweet Chili Garlic Sauce, Shrimp Fried Rice and Chicken with Baby Bok Choy. We all really enjoyed the food. This is going to become a new family go-to place for dinner. Everyone raved over the crispy beef. I also love that there was a lot of baby bok choy! The reason for the 2 star review was an unacceptable 40 minute wait (without being informed via text, email or verbally as I sat there waiting) beyond the initial 20-25 minute food prep time. I understand they get busy, but not communicating an estimated time is disrespectful of your customer's time. We had a craving for good Chinese food so we hopped online to look at our options. This place had strong ratings so we figured we'd give them a try. We ordered online and received a text from the restaurant telling us to pick up our food at 12:50. We got there at 12:52 and the woman working the counter seemed surprised when we told her we were there to pick up our order. We think she forgot to give the ticket to the kitchen. She told us to have a seat and we waited 25 minutes to take our food home. The food itself was very mediocre. The almond chicken was soggy, bland, and there were no almonds in sight. We ordered three entrees and not a single one of them came with rice, so if you want rice, make sure you pay for a side of it. Overall, we will not be returning. The staff is kind. The restaurant is clean, but has no atmosphere. The food was quick and fresh. With that being said the food taste was ok. The egg flour soup had so much cornstarch in it that it was slimy. The almond fried chicken had too much flour batter on it that wasn't cooked. It was like biting into raw flour. Yuck. Our dinner is a hit! We've been craving some fried rice and cream cheese wontons for a bit now and we took a big risk trying out a new place tonight but a few days ago we found their menu on our front door so their menu was fresh on our mind. There are a lot of options and everything sounds pretty good but we went with our classics. Pork fried rice, broccoli beef, and crab cream cheese wontons. Yummmm. It was all delicious! Not too greasy, packed with flavor, saucy, juicy, and oh so satisfying! The portions are family style, we were hungrrrrryyy and still didn't make it halfway through. Pretty much the nicest people and great food! It's hard to find a good, clean American Chinese restaurant that doesn't make their food too sweet or use pre breaded chicken and pork. Sure, I love me authentic Cantonese food at times but this hits the spot when you're craving chow mein and general tsos. The hot and sour soup is delicious, any of the veggie dishes are cooked crispy and light, and chili oil is on the table. Me & my husband are new to the Washington area from Texas. We were craving Chinese/asian food & stopped here cause the reviews wasn't horrible. When we got there we were immediately seated, waited about 10-15 minutes before our drink order was taken, and maybe another 20-25 for our food. The waitress ( owner ) was very very busy. Literally does it all on her own when it comes to the front house of the restaurant, including pick up & door dash orders. I was quite impressed. However......... the food was mediocre, and the menu not so kid friendly. The vegetables soup was disgusting, the walnut shrimp had way too much sauce ( I think it was walnut sauce ) , and the chow mein was ok. Could have gotten better at Panda Express. The lemonade & home made sweet & sour sauce was bomb. Overall I give it a 2-2.5. I respect their hustle for sure. But will not go back. read more

Food is so-so and not worth the wait! We've now tried this place 3 times over the last few months and had to wait no less than half an hour OVER the quoted time they said. We tried both online ordering and calling directly. The last time via phone they said 20-30 minutes for two standard orders of schezuan beef and chicken. We arrived at 25 minutes and waited another 40 minutes for our boring, bland, meh Chinese food. They have NEVER had our food ready on time. We're not going back. read more

This place had high reviews. I get to this area once or twice a year and told myself I was stopping in next time I was on the block. The guy there could not have been nicer. He took our order and began cooking. We had lunch specials. The wonton soup was rich and savory, however the wonton itself had no flavor. The broth had a large mushroom in it which added a nice touch to the presentation. The meal was a decent portion, but it was void of flavor as well. I wish I could better explain issues, but the beef had no flavor. I used soy sauce and chili oil and nothing woke it up, clearly either the recipe was off, or they just aren't cooking good food. Soon a woman showed up and starting working the floor, she was terrible. She never filled our water and waited about 10 minutes to bring us our check even though she saw we were done. She was catering to another table of Asian guests and completely ignoring us. This place was sitting between a Thai restaurant and teriyaki place. I can tell you that it wasn't the best Asian food in Everett, it probably wasn't the best in it's strip mall. God bless the cook, the absolute nicest man, but the flavor was a fail and the woman who worked the floor had no business serving anyone, she wasn't polite, friendly or even competent in my opinion. After moving here from the east coast I noticed there are a lot of Teriyaki spots but not as many Chinese food places. After trying Ming Garden, I've finally found my go-to Chinese food restaurant! Ming Garden has been open for only 3 weeks. The food is delicious and prepared with care. The dining room is roomy. We ordered takeout - Beef Chow Fun, Pot Stickers, Hot and Sour Soup, Sweet and Sour Pork, and Assorted Vegetables and Fried Tofu. We would order it all, again! - The Beef Chow Fun was made of soft, fresh noodles. - The Pot Stickers filling was flavorful and juicy. - The Hot and Sour Soup was piping hot with just the right amount of heat. - The Vegetables and Fried Tofu was delicious in a light sauce. The vegetables had just the right amount of crunch. By that I mean, nice and crunchy, not soggy. -The Sweet and Sour Pork was something you could write a poem about. The batter was so light and thin. Crispy beef in mandarin sauce, Pork with tangy sauce and Almond fried chicken. Egg fu yong was the right amount of seasoning, only thing that would make it better was more beef. Pork fried rice was delicious, rice wasn't overdone. Crispy beef wasn't soggy and meat was soft. Really liked the pork with tangy sauce. Didn't care for the fried chicken. Paid and out, back home in 15 min. Unpacked and no fried rice. Ok, I should have checked the tied up bag of styrofoam but I didn't. After checking I didn't pay for it. The owner offered to make it and deliver it. I appreciated that. The food was a miss as well. The cuts of meat in the entrees were good, however the sauces were all the same and very sweet. My husband and I went for lunch yesterday and ordered Singapore Noodles (星洲炒米）and Rice Noodles with Beef （干炒牛河） (two traditional Cantonese dishes). To our surprise, they were quite delicious. (There are not many good Chinese restaurants in the neighborhood, especially if one can make any Cantonese dishes.) Here are some recommendations: Singapore Noodles: Add some more onions and chives, 1 more teaspoon of curry powder, 1 more teaspoon of oil, and 1 more pinch of salt. Beef Noodles with Beef: Reduce 1 tablespoon of oil, or MSGs if any The lady that took the order was very nice and friendly. :) The restroom is clean.
