Great sushi spot! I can see why people are saying that this is a staple in Newark. I like how they have a variety of offerings like uni, scallops, along with their signature rolls and simple sashimi. Sushi here is fresh and sliced well. It was just delicious bite after bite! Not too fishy and not too firm. Their sashimi here is just done right. Their price point is reasonable for its location. Staff here are very welcoming and accommodating! They are attentive and give good recommendations.

Food: 4.1 Service: 4.5 Very Efficient & patience Monthly Haircut for my wife means dinner with my FIL. With dad aging & slowly down, he's becoming more predictable with food, but we keep challenging him to order for himself and reading the menu. Even having him tell us what he will order, he forgot when it was time to order, but the waitress was very patience with him and guided him through the process of ordering his food. 3 bento boxes and one sushi burrito ordered. The food came out very quickly: soups for the bento boxes then bento boxes followed about 5 minutes later along with my sushi burrito (like I said efficient). Everyone enjoyed their food and my FIL ate more than usual which made me happy My wife had tonkatsu leftovers which I gladly ate for a snack the next day. The sushi burrito was excellent and giant hand roll is the best way to describe it. BTW: we've eaten here for more than a decade and food has always been tasty and consistent.

Solid sushi spot - a staple here in Newark. I recommend their bento boxes for a good bang for your buck OR the O'burrito which is basically a sushiritto!! They are pretty known for that here. A very consistent place, again, a staple for us tri-city natives. Nice service overall and a very homey vibe if you were to eat in. They are very known to the locals here and is *the* Newark sushi spot :)) Also complimentary edemame and green tea ice cream!!!

Yay trying a new sushi restaurant in the area because we can't just go to Mioki all the time right? lol Got to try the local spots when we can. O' Sushi has been here for years. The oldest review here is 2014. Why I haven't tried it growing up in the area? I don't know. The restaurant is in the same plaza as Safeway and its close to MandRo Teahouse. It's a busy plaza but they have plenty of parking. It is also conveniently located by a freeway. We walk in and are immediately greeted by staff. I was having a bad day when I went but that changed quick. The staff is so friendly. They let me have my drink from outside (because I came here right after Truewin) and I appreciate it. We ordered the oyakodon and sushi bento. I got used to seeing oyakodon as chicken and egg over rice that this confused me a bit but I knew the name translates to "Mother and child" so it made sense. I honestly liked it. Great amount of food for me who wasn't insanely hungry after boba and a souffle cake (I know, dessert before dinner how dare I). The sushi bento was also good. Great amount of food for the price. Overall I liked this place. I think it stood out more because the staff are so kind. And sometimes that little boost is what you need to get the customers to keep coming back. Highly recommend!

I've been a patron of O'Sushi for years, and I'm thrilled to report that their food quality has not wavered at all over the last decade that I've been going. The sushi rolls are fresh, delicious, and innovative, and the servers are extremely attentive. Sushi rolls are on par for the area in terms of price; $16 for more specialty rolls, $8-9 for classics (California, Philly, etc.). I love that they still have hand sanitizer pumps at each table (a pandemic practice that I wish they still instituted in restaurants across the Bay Area), and I observed the staff's dedication to cleanliness when they wiped down each table using an antibacterial solution. There's not one thing I didn't enjoy about O'Sushi, and I look forward to returning!

##1 Roll, Kamikaze, and Mori Awase (15 pcs) Assorted Sashimi
    Camille A.

The food was excellent and flavorful. Very generous portions of sashimi which I appreciate. The assortment of fish were so fresh! The server was friendly and did not rush us at all in ordering. It's a small place, decent inside. No need for grand decorations when the food speaks for itself. Definitely satisfied our sushi cravings

    Super Lion King

I'm a regular here, and my go to order is the Super Lion King. It's amazing!! The house salad is also one of my favorites. I've compared multiple lion kings from other sushi spots but none compares to this. The service here is great, always checking in and fast.

    Fresh Oysters

Sushi is absolutely delicious! And the service from the chefs to the waitresses is always great.

I always come this place, but today I was definitely not happy. This was in my california roll and it dug into my mouth.

Chicken Katsu, Vegetable Tempura, Kiss of Fire
    Ethan C.

Small Japanese restaurant with good service and nice decorations. We got the chicken katsu dinner, Kiss of Fire gourmet roll, and veggie tempura. Chicken katsu was crunchy but might have needed more seasoning, gourmet roll was pretty good - jalapeno gave a slight kick, veggie tempura could have been better. Nothing really wrong with the overall experience, pretty decent food for decent price, good to come back to if you don't know what to eat for a night.

This place is so busy, it's ridiculous, but honestly, the food is pretty worth it. I got the Tokyo mazemen and it was really good, but also super filling. They give you the rice at the end to soak up the rest of that sauce, and I wanted to finish it, but holy moly there was so much food. It was delicious and I'm sad. I couldn't eat it all. That rarely happens. And it's not like there's enough to make it worth it to take home :( It wasn't hard to find parking in the slot, just know that this is a very busy restaurant and it might take you a while to get seated. I definitely wanna come back and try their other flavors of mazemen!

The place has a clean, modern vibe with bright lighting that felt welcoming and family-friendly. I decided to try the Deluxe Mazemen, and it was easily the best thing we had. The bowl came loaded with tender slices of pork chashu, spicy minced pork, a perfectly poached uncut egg, scallions, chives, and seaweed. The creamy broth at the bottom was boldly spicy and rich with a heavy, satisfying mouthfeel. The noodles were average thickness -- nothing crazy, but they worked. What really took it to another level was the sweet vinegar sauce the server suggested on the side. Halfway through, when the richness was starting to feel heavy, I added the sauce and it completely changed the flavor profile -- the bright acidity cut through the spice beautifully and made the rest of the bowl taste fresh and exciting. They even brought a small cup of rice so I could finish the sauce, which was a really thoughtful touch. This is a creative, elevated way of eating ramen that I hadn't tried before. I'd easily give the Deluxe Mazemen a solid 4 out of 5. The rest of the meal was much more standard. My wife ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen and our older kid got the Miso Ramen. Both were decent and tasted like typical, solid ramen you can get at most places -- nothing wrong with them, but nothing particularly special or memorable either. We also shared the karaage (Japanese fried chicken). It was crispy and good, but not standout. Unfortunately, there was one issue that really stood out. About halfway through the meal, I noticed a single piece of rice floating in my drinking water cup. I had already been drinking from it and didn't see it until then. It was clearly leftover from a previous use of the cup. While I didn't say anything at the table, the thought that I could have gotten sick from it was pretty concerning. On the positive side, one of the servers (possibly the owner) gave our daughter a cute little Hello Kitty wooden toy. It was a small, kind gesture that showed they try to be family-friendly. Overall: 3 stars WADAYA has real potential, especially if you order the Deluxe Mazemen -- that dish alone makes it worth a visit. The thoughtful extras like the sauce and rice cup show they have good ideas. However, the average performance of the regular ramens combined with the rice in my drinking water cup brought the whole experience down. It's a basic hygiene issue that shouldn't happen and made me question the attention to detail. If we return, we'll all be ordering the mazemen next time. Hopefully they tighten up on the small things. Decent spot with one standout dish, but needs better consistency.

They did throw in a green bean tempura appetizer and a slice of pineapple for dessert which was on the house. Both were good. Moving onto the food. The salmon skin roll was great. Just the right amount of salmon skin and rice. The salmon dinner was good, flavorful and tasty, which came with two big pieces of fish and rice. It also came on a hot sizzling plate when served. The only downside that I would say is the salmon to rice ratio didn't make sense to me. The cup of rice was an extremely small portion for the salmon that was served. Anyhow, Will definitely go back to this place. The only two reasons why I am docking a star was cause of the rice ratio for the salmon dinner and also the waiting time. When I got there the sushi bar had two people there. After waiting for 25 minutes for only 1 person and to get sat at the sushi bar did not make sense to me.
