    Shimmer Pool and Spa Service

Shimmer Pool & Spa Service Napa, CA…read more(707) 256-9971 https://shimmerpoolandspa.net/ This five-star review illustrates why it's worth investing in expertise. Roger Mejia's Shimmer Pool & Spa Service offers science-based water chemistry analysis, expert service, and fair pricing. They have the knowledge and experience to handle pool and spa issues precisely and effectively, providing superb results and the highest level of customer satisfaction. Let me demonstrate this with our experience. Our pool was a swamp. Due to illness, we were unable to maintain chemistry levels, and the pool became duck-pond green, teeming with algae. We were doubtful that the problem could be remedied. We contacted our former pool company, with whom we were customers for 40+ years, and they kept putting us off for over a month, promising to come the next day and never showing up or communicating. We looked for another service and found that Shimmer was highly recommended by real people (not chatbots) on our local neighborhood social media. We called Roger Mejia, and he came the next day to analyze the situation. He used a high-tech computer water analysis device, which gave precise data on our pool's water chemistry. This expensive device is reviewed as the "future of water chemistry management." Roger explained that his scientific approach not only gives guidance to balance a pool's chemistry but saves time and money that might be wasted on unnecessary chemicals, treatments, and labor. He also noted that his staff are Certified Pool Technicians who attend regular training courses on state-of-the art methods and technologies for achieving perfect pool balance. We were extremely impressed by Shimmer's investments in technology and professional staff, as we have not seen such commitment by any other pool service we know. Roger analyzed the data from his mobile water lab and set a remediation plan, which he began to execute the next day. For each session, he analyzed changes in water chemistry and determined the most effective treatment. Roger is committed to excellence, and he persevered through the challenges that our nasty pool presented. He even drove to our home on the weekend to check water progress. The result is sparkling clear water, with a perfect and stable chemical balance, as verified by Roger's mobile water lab measurements. Shimmer did what they said they'd do and acted in a timely and effective manner. We were so impressed that we engaged Shimmer for weekly pool service. Again, we got far more than we expected. The excellent techs, Ricardo and Carlos, brought high-end equipment to test water chemistry, skim, brush and vacuum the pool, and add appropriate chemicals. A few minutes after completion of the service, we received an email detailing exactly what had been done, including a photo of the pool. The email identified the pool technician and included time and date of service, chemical readings, service notes detailing tasks performed, and chemicals used. Impressive. This transparency and comprehensive information illustrates the professionalism and integrity of Roger Mejia's Shimmer Pool & Spa Service. I know of no other business in this field that offers this exceptional level of performance. Throughout the pool rehabilitation process and the weekly maintenance, every Shimmer staff member we worked with was professional, courteous, and obviously experienced and talented. Their training was evident: they knew the chemistry thoroughly, performed their tasks efficiently and effectively, and communicated clearly and positively. Roger Mejia sets the tone for Shimmer. He is precise and thorough, consistently demonstrating his extensive experience, rigorous training, and dedication to excellence. It is rare to find a business so professional and so demonstrative of integrity. There's no substitute for this kind of quality. Richard B. Napa

This guy is nice but needs more experience with pools and business in general.

Never came the same day of the week, let alone a consistent time of day. Final straw was when I asked them NOT to perform service on a specific date because I would be out of town (I have an indoor spa). They told the tech not to come, but he did anyway. He also left the door to my house open! I was out of town so I couldn't close it (my alarm company informed me the door was left open) and I had to call them twice to get someone to go close the door they left open. Many more horror stories to share...

After two years of pretty good service, suddenly things went very wrong. During those two years,…read morethe only minor issue was that my pool was not brushed every week. Other than that the pool man who came out every week was fine, friendly and helpful. Then he had to stop working for a month or two due to an injury and suddenly our monthly bill more than doubled. Without our approval or knowledge the person who came (while our usual man was away) ordered lots of chemicals including a $45 bottle of Scaletec when we already had an almost full bottle of it on our shelf that we paid for a month earlier. I was later told by a previous Keith Reuters employee that the people who clean the pools are paid commission on every chemical sale. That seems like an odd conflict of interest which could encourage their pool cleaners to put unneeded chemicals on the bill to line their own pockets. The company also performed extra labor without our prior approval even though I told them in the beginning not to do any extra work without checking with us first. This included a bill for $23 in labor call out charge to install a $1 hose washer that involved unscrewing a hose, placing the washer there and screwing the hose back on. It didn't solve a problem, it wasn't an urgent situation, and I could have easily done it myself. So I called the office and spoke to Matt, the owner. I asked him to look into why they suddenly added $130 in chemicals and why they performed two extra services charges without checking with us before the work was done. He said he'd check into it and I never heard from him again even after leaving another message. That previous Keith Reuters employee I talked to also said that Matt cares about the big clients (companies) but not the little clients (home owners). This is second hand information, but it sure fits my experience.

They serviced my pool on two weeks and they billed me for a month of service. The pool cleaning lady came out and did not even have experience with the equipment, cleaning person told me that my salt balance is off and asked her to are you going to adjust the the machine and she said that she does not know how to work it. I texted Seth and he said he does not all employees know how to adjust it and they all do a different job and not all have experience that is all in text. Then how are they going to keep my salt water adjusted properly. They do not send someone else to do it. Also there communication is terrible I texted Seth on few issues like some repair and replace a pump. Did not answer me till a few days after and said that he is sorry and but he is to busy and was not able to get to me. The future with this company would have been a disaster no experience for the employee with machines and equipment and bad communications. Also after two weeks not happy with service Seth says he is sticking me with the one year contract and trying to force me with 1800.00 dollars. Do not sign contract because they can give you terrible service and try to stick you with contract. He threatened me with the lawyer of suing me instead of trying to make matters better. I have all this in text by Seth. Watch out watch out for this company.
