Awesome customer service. Jack came out and helped with my wiper blades. Been to other O'Reileys and this one is the best.

Good service. Nice that they will go out to your car and install your wiper blades. Good addition to the shopping center.

What a positive experience when purchasing a new car. I started looking to replace our Lexus RX 350…read morewith a new Lexus NX350H. The initial research only put an additional layer of confusion on the process. I remembered Cartelligent as an option to purchase a car and the process began. Zach was on it! There was never any pressure to buy however he took the time to understand our requests and did the research to find exactly what my wife and I were looking for. The demand on the car was high however he was able to locate the vehicle and get it to us in a timely manner. No more dealerships and sales managers for us. Thank You. Tom and Robin R.

I had a somewhat negative experience working with an advisor at this location, and the experience…read moremade me wary of Cartelligent overall. It seems like it can be good in the right circumstance, but it's worth being a bit careful about it. A friend highly recommended the advisor, saying that they'd saved her a lot of money on her car lease and made the process easy for her. I called and talked for over an hour to the advisor. They were knowledgable and friendly - great customer service. I figured that I may be able to save a little money by looking for a deal myself, but that I wanted to save the time and hassle, so the cost would be worth it. Also, I liked the idea that Cartelligent had access to better deals than I would by purchasing at volume from fleet managers. My plan was to lightly get offer prices myself, compare them to the price Cartelligent got, and then hopefully having validated that they were beating my price sufficiently, I could use them forever and rest assured that it was a worthwhile deal. I reached out to a few dealerships and got opening offers. I was shocked when my Cartelligent advisor came back with an initial price that was worse than three of the five dealerships I'd reached out to, and that was before their $600 fee. When I explained this, they responded a little defensively and asked for proof I had better deals. When I provided it, they came back the next day with an offer $50 a month cheaper than the one they first sent me - a cost difference of $1,800 over the course of the lease! Thank goodness I'd looked on my own and not taken their word for it. The experience shook my faith a bit, so I decided to negotiate with the other dealerships myself and compare. Once I got a bit further into the process, I gave Cartelligent the ability to win my business if they could get to a specific number by dropping their quote a little further. They were unable to do so, so I kept negotiations up elsewhere. Specifically, when I asked if they could get to that number, the whole email they wrote back was "That's awesome. That's a great deal" and that was the last I ever heard from them. With a little bit of work, I ultimately was able to secure a lower price than Cartelligent had before taking their $600 fee into account. Using Cartelligent would have cost me many hundreds of dollars more than negotiating on my own over the course of my lease. At the same time, I was trying to sell my car through them. I did their thorough online process, taking pictures and filling out the form. After it was clear I was going to negotiate a bit and not just take their first price, I stopped hearing about the sale process from the advisor. After the "That's awesome" email, I never heard back from them again, even after asking for updates on the sales process over email. They ultimately never gave me a quote on my car. I think they got mad at me and ghosted me, which I found surprising and unprofessional. It's possible I was able to get an unusually good deal because the EV market is weak right now. The second quote - the one $50 lower - was reasonable, and it did take me a little work to beat it. However, it was clear to me that you should always do your own due diligence and get quotes to check the ones they give you. If you do that, ultimately, you aren't really saving yourself that much work, so I'm not sure the $600 fee is worth it. Edit: David reached out, and we talked about my experience. He sounded as surprised as I was by my experience, and he's looking into it. I was impressed that he would follow up!

I'm incredibly happy I found H and M Marine. Before working…read morewith them, I used to handle my own boat maintenance or worse, take my boats to other shops that turned out to be total nightmares. My last experience before finding H and M was horrific; a faulty wiring job left me broken down and stranded. H and M completely turned that around. They not only fixed all the mistakes from the previous shop, but also installed a kicker motor and completed a long list of upgrades I'd been wanting for a while. Everything was done cleanly, efficiently, and with a high level of craftsmanship. Shane is a total badass. He's clearly an expert, and it shows in the quality of work he and his team deliver. I run a quality-oriented construction company myself, so I know what it takes to do a job right and I can confidently say H and M Marine is the real deal. I live in Martinez, and I'll gladly make the drive every time I need work done, no question. I'm already making a list of projects for the off-season. If you're looking for top-tier workmanship at a fair price from people who genuinely care about what they do, look no further. These guys are awesome.

First interaction with H&M was to purchase a new Yamaha outboard to repowered our Grady White. More…read moreboat work was done in addition to just hanging a new engine. The price for work completed was fair. Covid hit hard and I believe we were the last boat done before they temporarily closed. Ethan was very professional and did the best he could communicating with us during difficult times. I'll focus on recent major work I had done to install new electronics on a newer Grady I purchased. I had planned to install myself, but the project was a it more complicated and involved than I wanted to tackle. I had already purchased a new Garmin chartplotter/fishfinder and radar, along with new antennae's, mounts, and lights. I approached Shane, Ethan's partner, about installing what I had in addition to new Yamaha gauges, all new Yamaha wiring and network cables/components to make Command Link compatible, remove and replace new hydraulic steering lines, R&R helm, install new throttle and shift cables, install Starboard to replace damaged wood (one piece I had Tap Plastic custom fabricate using old piece as template). After initial agreement Shane came back saying he needed to charge a "corkage fee" because I did not purchase the all Garmin products from him. I apologized and explained they have already been purchased from West Marine. I have seen their install work and was impressed, so I paid the additional $500 fee. I found out about the retail pricing when I also purchased from H&M a Standard horizon VHF and another Garmin MFD , priced $100 and $500 more than WM. I also supplied the the LED deck and spreader lights, VHF antennas with mounts, radar pedestal, GPS antenna, VHF loudhailer, and I had a custom stainless navigation light mount fabricated. An estimated 2 weeks turned into 2 months. I get they have a yard packed with boats, and luckily I have another boat I used during that time almost daily. Boat is done. Custom flush mounted electronics are beautiful! Super clean wiring with wires neatly concealed in the radar arch. New MFD shows all engine functions. Love it. Total bill was over $11k. Ouch. That's not including what I purchased prior. Now the not so good. Picked up boat and launched 2 days later. Load gear at O dark thirty, go to start, nothing. Batteries seemed ok. Tilt and lights all ok. No crank. Bypass neutral start but check engine light and won't run above idle. I call H&M and tell them the issue. I am told the motor needs to be hooked up to shop computer and diagnostics done. I find internet instances where a low battery, not faulty, will cause the issue I am having. I relay info to H&M owner who replies he has never heard of such a thing in all his years of servicing. I ask him to throw it in a charger and see before dumping money into computer and replacing a TPS he thinks is the cause. I also question the neutral start switch as something they may have done since they replaced throttle and shift cables. "Impossible, we only changed the cables". A week later I get the call. Yes, surprisingly topping the batteries off worked. Never saw that before. Oh yeah, we fixed the NSS. No charge. (Later I get bill for over $400 for checking if code reoccurred) Good Very nice custom install of electronics. Wiring through arch very clean. Location Bad Did not top batteries. Suggest to top off if boat sits or extensive electrical work done. Cabin had debris like wood shavings, old caulk, and wire insulation strippings. Shop reply per email was, "it was better than it was." Really? Old radio bracket left mounted in cabin. Factory livewell switch was removed and replaced with new spreader light switch. Now how do I turn on baitwell pump? So far after 2 emails issue still Unresolved! Typical upsell. Hydraulic leak at SeaStar helm. Not hose or fittings. Owner recommended replace entire helm. I mention I've experienced this and has been steering shaft seal. Simple fix. He strongly suggested updating new hoses and if replaced steering shaft seal no guarantee. O-ring replacement worked to his surprise, and I was charged to remove old hydraulic lines and install new ones. I physically installed radar dome on the arch using a short pedestal. Owner and installer both said it didn't look right on it, and if I towed a lot better clearance without. Advised mounting it flush to arch, and the installer would purchase it for his hardtop on his own boat. Paid $120 new, sold for $50, and was charged a removal and reinstall fee. There's more, but I'll stop here. No marine mechanic is perfect. I have taken my boats to all of the major dealers in the Bay Area for the last 4 decades, and have had issues with all of them. Not just minor complaints, but straight up pay for Job and not fixed! I'd give H&M 3.5 stars if I could. I do love their install work, and looking at my every time I'm on the boat looking at my dash and using my new electronics makes me happy. Happiness just comes at a cost
