Definitely could have been better. While my cousin was filling the gas tank, he noticed we had a…read moretire that appeared low in pressure. We pulled out the air gauge in the glove box, checked the tire and yep, we have a slightly low pressure tire. So, we went looking for the on-site air hose that's supposed to be here. We found no air hose here. No free air and water for auto purposes is in violation of California Law Business & Professions CODE CH 14.5, which requires to "PROVIDE FREE AIR AND WATER FOR AUTO PURPOSES." This business had another violation of California Law Business & Professions CODE CH 14.5 as the required sign was missing which is required to be there stating "Every station shall display at a conspicuous place on at or near the dispensing apparatus at least one clearly visible sign which shall read: "CA LAW REQUIRES THIS STATION PROVIDE FREE AIR AND WATER FOR AUTO PURPOSES TO CUSTOMERS WHO BUY MOTOR VEHICLE FUEL. IF YOU HAVE A COMPLAINT NOTIFY THE STATION ATTENDANT AND/OR CALL THIS TOLL-FREE TELEPHONE # 1 (800) ...." sign shall meet the requirements of Sec 13473 13474 with regard to letter size and contrast." If you don't take care of your customers, someone else will. Are you chasing your customers away for lack of customer service? You cannot separate customer service from the bottom line. With so many people competing for business, with today's scarcity of cash, them's that has the gold makes the rules, and customers are all business' gold, so the only ones who will survive this economic downturn are those who know how to give excellent customer service. Studies show repeatedly that a typical dissatisfied customer will tell 6-10 people about the problem. A typical satisfied customer will tell 1-2 people. It costs 6x more to attract a new customer than it does to keep an old one. Of those customers who stop doing business with you 68% do so because of an attitude of indifference by the company or a specific individual. About 7-10 complaining customers will do business with you again if you resolve the complaint in their favour. If you resolve a complaint on the spot, 95% of your customers will do business with you again. How can any business afford to ignore these statistics? As a business owner you stand to lose a lot of money and inevitably your business if you ignore these statistics. As an employee you stand to lose your job if you don't pay attention to your customer's needs. Good customer service is the lifeblood of any business. You can offer promotions and slash prices to bring in as many new customers as you want, but unless you can get customers to come back, your business won't be profitable for long. Good customer service is all about bringing customers back. And about sending them away happy - happy enough to pass positive feedback about your business along to others, who may then try the product or service you offer for themselves and in their turn become repeat customers. The essence of good customer service is forming a relationship with customers - a relationship that a customer feels that she or he would like to continue.

This gas station is awful. I stopped at 8 pm on a Sunday to fill up. A bird had just pooped on my…read morecar (one bird with dysentery or many birds, it was a lot of guano!) The pump offered an option to get a car wash for $22, so I hit yes. Turns out the car wash was closed. So I went inside and asked for a refund. The attendant called manager Carlos. The attendant said that he couldn't give a cash refund from the register and that Carlos promised to refund my card the following week. 2 weeks later, no refund. So I called, and after 2-3 phone calls, finally talked to Carlos. Carlos claims he told the attendant to refund me from the register and the attendant "misunderstood." Fine, refund my card then. "No, I can't. It has to be cash." Ok, I don't want to drive for 2 hours, can you mail me the cash? "No." Ok, will you or your attendant drive for 2 hours to refund me, since it was your mistake? "No, why would I do that?" Because you messed up! Not me! Waste of my time, unprofessional, don't make it right when they mess up. I would not risk going here. Carlos is awful.

We asked how long it would take and they said 20 minutes, quickly changed answer to maybe 10 when they saw the look of exasperation on our faces. Well I'm happy it took 20 minutes! 20 minutes with an entire cleaning crew is like 3 hours of my cleaning!! And they did so much more than just vacuum! They were polishing the mirrors and the outside of the car... and it was just cleaned three days ago! We will definitely come back!

Got it. I'll turn this into a polished Yelp Elite-style narrative: observant, balanced, a little…read morewitty, and clearly written by someone who actually spends time here--not a fly-by latte tourist. This spot feels like the other side of Sausalito--in the best way. If Sausalito Bakery is the pressed-linen, weekend-brunch version of town, this place is where the everyday locals land. Same essence, very different energy. Cozy, familiar, and quietly charming without trying too hard. The space itself is warm and inviting, with a lived-in feel and a glowing sign in the back that somehow makes the whole room feel softer. There's a large communal table, plenty of indoor seating, and a steady hum of conversation that creates excellent white noise. It's a solid place to get work done--as long as you're not recording audio, because it does get a little loud--but for emails, planning, or a casual work session, it absolutely works. Now, the matcha. This is the real headline. I'll be honest: I used to actively avoid ordering matcha here. It was mediocre at best. About five months ago, they changed it--slight improvement, but still not there. I know the ownership was proud of that update, but something clearly changed again since then, because today's matcha was genuinely impressive. Like, stop-what-you're-doing impressive. At this point, I'm comfortable saying this is the best matcha in Sausalito. Egg Lady's is fine, but it doesn't come close. Sausalito Bakery is lovely to hang out in, and their pastries are great--but their matcha is forgettable. This one isn't. (The only matcha I've had locally that competes was at an ERIA Events gathering, but that's not exactly a walk-in situation, so it doesn't count.) If you're in Sausalito specifically looking for matcha, this is the place. They're also great with substitutions, service is quick, and the owner has a genuinely warm, welcoming presence--lots of friendly back-and-forth with regulars, which adds to the atmosphere rather than distracting from it. I didn't try the pastries or sandwiches this time (not much of a pastry person), though everything looked solid. Outdoor seating exists, but with the weather being a bit unpredictable lately, indoor is the move. Fair warning: parking is a hassle. I parked in the lot near Trident, and while it worked, the valet experience was... unpleasant enough that I probably wouldn't do it again. Plan accordingly. All in all, this is a comfortable, local-feeling café with excellent matcha, good energy, and enough seating to make it a reliable go-to. It may not be the "scene," but it's exactly the kind of place you end up recommending when someone asks, "Where do you actually like to go?"

All in all I give Firehouse five stars
