I always had hassle and wait for my order to come from online yet here I was buying a pint of it across the counter. Absolutely impressed by this store! Unlike several Sacramento locations, they used common sense and were willing to help me replace a battery that was still under warranty, even though I couldn't locate the receipt. They treated me with empathy, listened to the situation, and simply did what was right for the customer. That level of service is rare these days. I drove all the way from Sacramento because of how helpful they were, and it was absolutely worth it. Hats off to the Shingle Springs team for being community-focused, people-driven, and running their business the right way. I only wish more stores operated with the same mindset.

She was very hesistant in giving me any information about whether or not they actually had parts in stock, it was all maybes and probablies. Later I show up to buy the parts, and bring the old ones back to warranty out. They wouldn't allow me to warranty them because apparently they're master mechanics that can diagnose cars without even looking at them or the old parts.I told them I checked the caliper pistons and guide pins to make sure they weren't sticking or seized or that my brake hoses weren't twisted or damaged, they had an employee that was off the clock that decided to butt in and repeat what I said and asked if I checked those items. The problem is with their garbage parts they sell. The new brakes I got from oreillys a while back now have a little well over 10k miles and they've worn out nice and evenly, but apparently Sandy and her team like to argue and not be of help. Also won't be returning because of all the racist comments I heard from the older employees working there some months back. This place is not very helpful, I recommend autozone or oreillys

Fast, courteous and efficient people work in this store. And a great big thank you to Chris for proving again and again how many kind people are out there in this world. My battery in my car fob was on the verge of dying. I had no idea how much time I had left when my car alerted me it was low. I panicked. Far from home. Getting dark. Scared. I yelped auto shops and saw I was literally a mile from this company. My concern at this point was to get help. I did not care how many good Yelp reviews they had... just get there. When I walked in every counter was occupied by paying customers. I caught the eye of a person not dressed in uniform behind the counter. I think he saw the panic on my face and immediately asked if he could help. I explained my situation and he was on it from that moment on. He opened my fob and literally in seconds had a replacement battery inserted and put it back together again. And if that was not enough he pointed the fob at my car through the store window to ensure it worked. I will bet I was in and out in 10 minutes. Unbelievable! I am sooo grateful, Chris, for your help. And as it turns out... they have many great Yelp reviews. I am not surprised! Please know you will be taken care of here no matter what your auto needs may be. The store looked immaculately clean and organized. And with so much inventory. This store is a gift to the community. A few months ago I bought a brake controller for my 4Runner here, in order to communicate with the…read morebrakes on a small travel trailer I had recently purchased. I told the people behind the counter that I was a newbie to trailer ownership and had no product knowledge and that I hoped they could educate me. They sold me a Curt brake controller device (model 51180), which plugged into a factory plug under the rear bumper. This device connects to an app on the internet to communicate with the trailer brakes. Later that day I tried to connect to the app but had trouble, so I went back into the store to ask for assistance. They told me they weren't familiar with the app, and that I should call Curt directly. So much for being knowledgeable about the products they sell! In fact, I learned about a month ago--when the device fell out of the plug during a trip and frayed the electric cord connecting to the trailer--that this device SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN SOLD TO ME...that this model was intended for other applications where the controller would remain parallel to the ground, not pointing downward at the ground at an angle like it did on my 4Runner. I needed a different model/device for my particular 4Runner application. (Since they looked at my vehicle they should have known this, if they were truly knowledgeable about the product.) I am very upset: not only did I waste money on this Curt brake controller, but I also had to spend several hundreds of dollars to replace the electrical cord, which was permanently damaged before I could pull off the road. I'm glad other people have had a good experience here, but they sold me an inappropriate part for my needs, probably because it's all they had available and they wanted to make a sale. I will never go back here, and will never refer my friends. I want to work with businesses that are knowledgeable and helpful...even if they don't have the necessary part. That's true community goodwill.

YOU WILL WANT TO READ THIS REVIEW!…read more I used this company because I wanted to use a local company. I was going to get two jeeps sprayed but reduced it to one just in case. Good thing I did. I asked if they would be able to remove certain items and screws instead of spraying over them. I was told not an issue at all. I brought my jeep in and showed them exactly what I wanted done. I left feeling they had a good understanding.. That was not the case! When I came to pick up my jeep I was told that they had broke one of my bolts "due to rust" and they were too scared to take the rest out. The bolt they broke was the door bolt nut. I have taken these off and on several times throughout the year and never had any issues at all with them. Then I was directed to some side mirror mounts where the worker said he could not get them undone at all. So instead of calling me and asking... he just line X'd the whole thing. He did not even try and remove any screws or tape over any screw or bolt heads.. pretty much did a lazy get it done LineX job. Only reason this is not a 1 star is due to the actual lineX itself. It looks decent but I am sure I am going to have issues down the road. I would avoid this location at all cost! After my issues my neighbor and some of my 4 wheel buddies said they had the same issues there. (thanks for telling me after).

Genaro is a great salesman, he drives over from W.. Sacramento because of the culture and experience here, he could have worked closer at Hanlees in Sacramento or Roseville Toyota. But he chose Thompsons, and they should be lucky to have him and treat him well. Great experience over all, just did not feel any pressure. They also have great snacks, chips, popcorn, hot drinks, sodas, and water.best stocked dealership I have seen. All complimentary. Great place to negotiate a deal. Kevin was friendly too. They do markup vehicles by $2k like bay are dealers who go up to $5k over TSRP. You could look at other dealers who don't like Folsom, Elk Grove, or Davis Toyota for a better deal. She didn't try and upsell me on anything; i.e., engine air filter, cabin air filter, fuel system cleaner, etc. I had already replaced both air filters with genuine Toyota filters the day before and did my usual 5,000 mile fuel system additive (Chevron Fuel system cleaner with Techron). When my factory warranty runs out, I will trust that Thompson's Toyota maintains their honest integrity in their service department. By the way, I teach automotive technology at 2 local high schools in El Dorado County as a guest teacher.

Thankfully, the good people at Idle Wheels were there to save my trailer. The staff stayed open past closing to receive the boat and trailer from a flatbed rig which was amazing. After returning to Placerville a couple of weeks later to pick up my boat and trailer I spoke with Sheydon who did the repairs and explained how he was able to put it back together and made sure that it was done correctly so I would not have to deal with this again.
