There's no pricing anywhere. The phone cases and what not that they have on the walls there's no prices for those. She took my phone in the back. I didn't ask her about the cost. She came back out and it was $120 for the battery. $30 for the case plus tax $162. However, since I left, I had no longer have a volume button up or down on the left side of my iPhone. The volume button is disabled or defunct it's not there anymore. I just tried to call and the number is disconnected. I already left my phone there yesterday for 40 minutes. I don't wanna leave it there any longer. So I'll wait in the store but there's no place to sit. I have been the victim of cyber stalking before and I'm very careful with my phone. I feel very protective of it. I'll update this review after I go see them today to fix my phone. I just want to add that when it was time for me to pay she entered the amount into the credit card reader and then she put it in front of me to finish as she put my phone in the case I just bought. But as she's putting my phone in the case, I'm looking at the screen and it's asking me to tip and it's giving me a 15% 20% and 25% I think tip? And I opted to not tip. And I thought OK - she was lovely but is this necessary? If the battery cost $20 or less and then the service to put the battery in is $100 and it took her a half hour then they're making $200 an hour. I've never been to a Cellphone repair place where they asked me to tip. And I'm nervous to go back. I just want my phone the way it was when I brought it in yesterday except for the new battery. I came in with a screen glitch on my iPhone. This was stressful for me as my medical device is fully controlled from my phone. (Before anyone comes at me, yes I have backup options, they just are not as effective.) The young man quoted me and told me to come back in a couple hours. I expressed my concern with it controlling my medical device and he told me he would get it done ASAP. I sat in the shop and read my book while the shop kitty slept in my lap. What I witnessed over the next hour was impressive to say the least. He was the only employee. Person after person poured into the shop. One after the other he took the time to address what they needed and was polite and patient with them even when the person did not deserve it. He finished my replacement in an hour. An hour, that's it. In that hour not only did he replace my screen beautifully, he answered the phone, assisted customers with finding products, assisted customers with their phone issues, and answered customer questions. This young man did the job of at least four employees. I regret that I did not catch his name. If the business sees this review, I was there on 6/25/26 from 4pm-5pm. If anyone from that date and time leave a poor review on the business, please feel free to assume they are the customers that did not deserve this young man's patience or politeness. I requested a repair on a game console a while back. It was a 15 minute job, but required some equipment that I do not have. Labor was vastly overpriced (15 minute job, $10 for parts, $90 for labor), but it is understandable. They have to have a price floor, and the repair I needed done was short and specific. Overall, it turned out fine. The device has not had issues since, and none of my data was destroyed. Regardless, I recommend always making a backup of your data before consulting any repair company. 10/10 for my specific instance, but look out. If you are on a tight budget or do not know how to back up your data, I would perhaps practice extra discernment in your search.

When I returned, they said it might be the battery ($83 repair and they'd have to order it and could have it back in 7-10 days), but said it might be something to do with the screen assembly (or something like that), and that would be $178 and they had that in stock. I said fine, just get it working, as I had a surgery scheduled and needed a way to communicate with my support team. I gave them more time, and their assessment was that it wasn't that either - they said my phone showed no signs of life and I'd need to buy a new phone. But they didn't charge me the $178 after testing it to see if it would work. So, I went to Best Buy and chatted with GeekSquad for a second opinion - they told me UbreakIfix was now a mainstream repair shop, doing mainly warranty work for the major carriers, and anything beyond simple repairs wasn't their thing...and that I'd probably be able to get it fixed at a "mom&pop" shop. GeekSquad said they couldn't work on a phone as old as mine (5 years), and recommended a shop in Folsom that their customers had success with. I bought a new phone for $750 since I was already there, and was willing to risk forfeiting a $45 re-stocking fee to return it if I managed to get my phone working. I didn't go to the shop recommended by GeekSquad, but found Salmaan Phone Repair in Rocklin and he had my phone working in less than 10 minutes (I'll write a review for him, too). The issue was a bad FPC (Flexible Printed Circuit) cable - the cable that connects the charging port to the daughterboard. 2 stars for not being able to diagnose a basic power issue -1 star for telling me my phone would never work again +1 star for positive experience with the uBiF person that followed up with me when I complained about their non-refundable diagnostic fee when the diagnosis was 100% incorrect.
