I came in to grab some windshield wipers for my new car. The one on it even I bought it were still good, but I wanted better ones. The store was very clean and I was greeted as I came in. I found what I needed and...Wow, I don't remember these being sold separately and being so expensive!! However, I picked the ones I wanted and after paying, the kind employee said he could help me out them on. I could have, but since he offered to help, I took him up on his offer. They even do free warranty replacement of wipers with receipt or rewards phone number as proof of purchase. I needed this after getting a pair of wipers at another area O'Reilly that started skipping after 2 weeks. With their excellent service, I will now always go back to this specific O'Reilly. I needed a new battery for my car, so I removed the old, dead battery and went to the Rocklin O'reilly's store. The manager, Craig, helped us, and did a great job to his credit. First, I had picked the wrong replacement battery and after he did some research he found the correct battery for my car. Then, he noticed I had left part of the grounding clip on the old battery. I stopped by to get the code of my check engine light. Muhammad pulled the code and took 5 mins to plug the scanner to his computer and could not retrieve the code; I saw him struggling. Someone called asking for parts and instead of putting them on hold he spent another 5-10 mins on the phone with them. I was waiting around and decided to leave. Customer service is horrible. Please re-train your staff. Should not take 20+ mins to get a CEL code. read more

Around 3 pm in Loomis I discovered my car fuel door open; fuel cap missing. Had gotten gas earlier at the Shell in Colfax; obviously forgot replace cap. Was in a hurry! I called the Shell station; it hadn't been turned in. He promised to call me if it is. By the way if you see things like that on the ground at the service station do you turn in to the cashier just in case. I'm 72 and first time I've done this. I googled O'Reilly and called them. What do you do if you can't find one. I just filled up my tank. Shawn answers; I ask if they have a gas cap for a 2006 Subaru. He needs couple more details Forester LL Bean; he has one $13.49. Their greediness has killed the customer service. I have experienced on numerous occasions management yelling at female employees. Hell even witnessed them sweep sexual harassment under the rug ( I have receipts on that too). Manny & Jonathan need to get their heads out of their asses and treat their employees better. Whether it's because they all want that end of year bonus or they just don't care about employees, not sure. But I've been a commercial account for over a decade, so I've seen some things. But the store has gone to crap. I witnessed Manager and another in back discussing finances (which shouldn't ever happen within ear of customers, no matter how comfortable they get). Cutting everyone's hours, well you get what you pay for. When every employee is belittled or over worked and treated like crap it translates to us. Customers pay good hard earned money here, myself and many other commercial accounts are considering going elsewhere from here on out. I refuse to support a company that refuses to care about their employees. Revolving door of new workers happens, but not like this. Ever since Jonathan took over the store has gone down. I like him I really do, but if this is how you do business I can't in all good faith shop here. My reputation is everything. I will not sully my name with your poor business savvy. Manny took care of his employees, would have never spoken about a bonus in front of a customer, ever. Hearing employees quit and walk out after threatening violence to their boss, that's not normal. But it is at Harding store. But at the end of the day, I'm sure it's not exclusive to that store. Paradise, CA. Just got a battery replacement in my girlfriend's car. We were offered a 9v battery to put into the cigarette lighter to save all car settings (worked great). Myself being relatively knowledgeable about automotive started installing the new battery as the employee was grabbing various items for the install (wire brush, napkin, corrosion cleaning spray as our connections had some corrosion). I made a dumb move and grounded the wrench on the body while tightening the positive terminal. When we went to start the car, it refused. I thought I had made a big mistake, Zack the O'Reilly's associate was happy to help me diagnose the issue, we were very much on the same page until we were coming to a loss. Turns out the 2015 Mazda had protection in place preventing it from starting with the unexpected voltage in the cigarette lighter circuit. Removed the device and the car started right up. Overall, most knowledgeable person I have met at any parts store in a while. Although neither of us were aware of the setting saver device preventing the car from starting, Zacks method of diagnosis was top notch! read more

The man behind the counter made price matching extremely difficult.. not only did he seem like he overall just did not want to he said that he would have to call the store and it "would take a long time", which has never happened to me at an oriellys before, they usually are super willing to ! Super disappointing. On top of that he was questioning why I was trying to price match by asking why we didn't just go to the other store. Steven and Angelo went above and beyond to help my boyfriend and I when his car broke down. The car broke down in the middle of a parking lot a few blocks down the road. A friend came to help us and drove me to O'Reilly's. Steven sent Angelo out to help us and he brought a code reader and a battery charger to try to jump the car. They were extremely accommodating, checked the battery and gave recommendations even though they were to try to get some proration from Walmart. He noticed that my hood struts were shot. Found replacements and installed them. Great service. The next day I went for fuses. Again, super helpful and friendly helping me find the right pieces for the best value. Was about to buy a fuel injection cleaner but upon further conversation with (I didn't get to know his name) he did a diagnostic on my pickup. He explained he was a former mechanic and that the problem I was having would not be improved by buying an additive. He further explained that it was probably the fuel injectors. I had already purchased them and was going to have them done in a shop. He explained how to do it, I did it myself and problem solved! Excellent. Recently I lost a loved one that took care of all my auto maintenance. Tonight I put air in my tires for the very first time. It was dark outside and I had a hard time seeing the pressure gauge. After I filled my tires with air I drove to Walmart and while driving, my tires didn't feel right at all! I pulled into Walmart a little after 9:00pm and much to my surprise I saw that O'Reilly auto parts was still open. I went in and had the pleasure of meeting Steven. I told him I put air in my tires for the first time and they didn't feel right! Steven got a pressure gauge, went outside and checked every single one of my tires. Every tire needed to have air let out! One was so full I could have had a blowout if Steven hadn't checked it! After Steven finished checking my tires, I went in and bought a tire gauge and made another purchase. I was so impressed with how kind and helpful Steven was. Went to pick up pair of wipers for my Mercedes. Dealer wanted to charge $85, thankfully it was a Sunday and the dealer was closed. Bosch wipers on sale (2 for 1) and paid $23. The guys were very helpful and put the adapters on the wiper. I struggled with one and a person came outside in rain to help out. Service was better than Mercedes and Almost a quarter of the price. read more

This isn't something I feel the need to do in my world . I have physical challenges that require me to use a wheelchair and I drive a special van conversion that accommodates my chair and I with doors and ramps ect. It was my birthday 60 yrs and needed parts for an old mustang I've had for 40. To make a long story short. I never got of my van , got everything I needed and got the senior discount (gee thanks Haha. Your welcome sir) all because of a fine young man/employee by the name of Tony. He was polite, paid attention to detail and very prompt at getting the task done. I have been back two more times with the same treatment. Thank you Tony you are my official parts guy. (This is going to be much like my review of another O'Reilly's just a moment ago, since it's the same basic store and situation. However, this was my first visit of my O'Reilly's misadventures. I wasn't paying attention, so the answer to the question of "why didn't you just say something?" is "I didn't put two-and-two together until I had left.") One star because I'm done with O'Reilly shops. Why? They offer a return-customer incentive program, where you use one of those cards, collect points and then get some cash-back thing. Very common. This O'Reilly Auto Parts store would not scan my card. At the end of the day, that's fine, I suppose. O'Reilly's also offers a military discount of some percent. This is the second time that I gave all my information on my card and there was no discount applied. Either I'm walking around with a defunct card and O'Reilly's is tapping into some Department of Defense system to verify the card... or, I'm just wasting my breath. Their stock, prices and general layout is like any other chain auto parts store and such stores will be my destination for my auto parts. Thanks. read more

The store on Pacific in Rocklin is tops in my book. The check engine light came on in my 1997 Ford F150 and I took it to this shop. The assistant manager named Kirsty brought out her equipment and downloaded all of the diagnostic codes from my truck and informed me of the two errors that were found. This allowed me to work directly with my mechanic on the repairs. There was no charge for this service. This Will now be my "go to" auto supply shop. read more

Where to start. Went in the store today to get oil changing supplies. Three guys were talking laughing it up. Not even "Welcome...let us know if you need help" or a simple Hi. Red flag one. I was walking around looking for filters, and I know they saw me...but no offer if I needed any help finding something - Red flag two. When I went to the front to finally get help, a guy named Jace was about as friendly and accommodating as a snail. Gave him info on the car. He looked like he started to look it and got a call. He then proceeded to look up what the caller was looking for. REALLY!?! He didn't have the guy hold so he could finish "helping" the customer who was right in front of him. I left my other supplies I'm at the counter and just walked out. Needless to say, Jace was a real ass. Never going there anymore. Get better service at Napa and Autozone. I explained that I needed these but have no experience at all to install and could someone assist me. She was so wonderful and installed both items for me!! I went in the other day because my AC was not working properly and it was a hot day. I was going to buy a cab filter. Brian took a look at my car and found a plastic bag covering the filter. My husband has changed his starter, alternator, glow plugs, and rotors. The staff is always willing to check our batteries and alternators which is so helpful!!! I am so disappointed with my visit to this O'Reilly's store in Rocklin. I saw on line that they would install a headlight bulb for me. I am single, handicapped and needing more assistance than some. My home care worker went in and purchased the bulb and requested that they replace the bulb for me. They told her that they don't work on cars for customers. She showed the online commitment to the salesman. He was very indignant with her and downright rude. He showed her a bruise on his arm and said "see this bruise? I hurt my arm the other day and so I'm not working on anyone's car." The Covid-19 pandemic does not give anyone permission to be rude. They are definitely not handicap friendly. We returned the bulb and went down the street to Car Quest Auto Parts. The salesman, Claude, came out and replaced the bulb in 5 easy minutes. No brainer on where I'll go and refer others to from now on. read more
