My childcare provider's car battery died while she was caring for my child today. She was able to get the car jumped and drove straight to Autozone for replacement per my urging. She subsequently called me to tell me the employee who helped her at the counter responded with attitude, "...well I guess we could help you but I have to read instructions and don't want to damage your car." He was exceedingly rude. This poor reception and horrible customer service left her feeling so uneasy she chose to leave and have her car towed alternatively. This employee was so lazy he would rather sit on his phone than get up and help a stranded female motorist with a young child as it's getting dark outside. We will NEVER bring our business back here. I had a very simple return accompanied by my receipt and valid state iD. I wanted to buy other things partially with the money I was recovering from returning my light bulbs. I read the Auto zone return policy and attempted to call. I couldn't get through. 12/28/2021: 7:30 pm. The Hispanic older gentleman that works there waited on me. He rudely demanded my atm card even though i wanted store credit and I used my auto zone number. He could bypassed the request for the atm card but adamantly said he wouldn't do it. I showed him the app that matched the card, he demanded the card. They can credit the card without the physical card, I've experienced it. He was snappy rude and in accommodating. Despite the original receipt and ID , he wouldn't even consider helping me. I didn't get what I needed and he was insulting, insinuating that I was being dishonest. All this over $6.99 and I was going to spend over $30. They don't honor the corporate return policy and aren't kind to women. I've never had such problems at any auto zone, ever. My wiper blades were making a lot of noise. I went in to get some new blades but the ones in the vehicle looked fine. One of the employees asked me if I needed some assistance. Sure , thanks. He pointed my to top line windshield wiper fluid and some inexpensive towels that would do the trick. Guess what, i cleaned my blades and added windshield fluid. It did the trick! Last minute stop to purchase some chains for our trek over The Pass tomorrow into Reno. This was a first time purchase for my hubby and I, so thank god the guys behind the counter knew what we needed and helped us out from start to finish. Our visit was short and sweet. She was so helpful, looked for ways to help save me money (even though there went any I super appreciated the effort even when it was a busy time in the store) She works fast and efficiently, and that girl can totally handle herself! Battery check is free of charge among some of the services offers. Both times by batteries have had no charge. You can get car battery at a ultra competitive price. Perhaps they were caught by surprise that wipers would be in demand with a storm coming in and winter on the way. 19s are a common size so.................. I was looking for a few other small things but the selection was not so hot there either. The part book only went to 2012. I know you can ask at the desk but the customer service is so bad that's out. Customer service is the worst. Just plain bad. Was done and waiting to check out while one person stocked a shelf and another employee peeked out from the back and ducked back in. The attitude from the employee as I checked out was the worst. So it was a very limited conversation on both sides. Pro- Zero Going two stars instead of one since I have not been here in a while and maybe they were just having a bad day and I caught the huffy employee at check out. After being told by a dealership my headlights needed to be taken off to get rid of the oxidation (costing $100+), was able to do it myself for less than $10. Originally went in for car wash materials and saw this stuff, asked a gentlemen at the front if he thinks this would work on my car. All he had to do was take a quick look at my car and confirmed yes, the oxidation is on the outside of your headlights and that this stuff would work for me. So nice to see a car place not taking advantage of females who don't always know what they need when it comes to car stuff.
