I'm new to Virginia per military orders and was referred here by someone at the pick and pull in VA…read morebeach and well when you get there place has no receptionists. People just walking without a purpose and group of men just sitting in an office near what I assume is the (empty) reception desk. Finally while standing there for 5 mins someone that finally noticed that I'm standing there asks if I need help. I tell them I'm there to purchase car parts and well get given the runaround guy tells me to call a number on a little torn piece of paper with a different company name and a different website name where prices differ. I ask if I can wait there to place the order while I'm the phone not knowing that they can not just simply give you the order after waiting on the phone for 45 minutes some guy from who knows where tells me they can only ship the orders, which I was trying to avoid as I could've just gone to amazon to place that same order. Later that day I hop on amazon and place the order from a seller "AUTOPARTS GIANT" which turns out being guess who?! These mf (excuse my French) which not only after seeing my order leave the same city I'm in just to come back to only 6miles away they don't even deliver the full order only sending me one piece of what I ordered now calling amazon which have to send an email to them and I have to wait 2-3 buisness days for a reply. Hilarious! And how do I know it's the same company you may ask? Well on the box you can see the from address comes right back to these imbeciles. Save yourself the trouble and go with my favorite company APO (autoparts outlet)which I used back in San Antonio TX much better customer service guaranteed. That one review on here can't possibly be real about them being helpful is BS. If you decide to go with these fools best of luck to you I'll be leaving a review just like this (which I NEVER do) on amazon too

It's been a few years since my original review of this Advance location so an update is warranted…read more I am happy they still get a solid four stars. This Advance Auto Parts location is your standard auto parts store. They basically carry the same inventory as other Advance locations and the store layout is consistent with most other stores in the chain. This store is located in the Indian River Shopping Center. There is plenty of free parking in the shopping center's huge private lot, especially considering there are a lot of empty business spaces here. The staff here is knowledgeable and can offer advice in various areas. Employees are friendly and helpful and seem to enjoy their jobs. They will gladly test or install a new battery or put windshield wiper blades on your car for free. Need to have your starter or alternator tested? They'll do it for you. Is your "check engine" light lit? They will scan your vehicle's computer for the error code. Need a tool for a job, they will loan you one. Just leave a deposit and get it back when you return the tool. You can even drop off old car batteries or motor oil for recycling. All these services are free so it can be quite helpful. I like shopping at Advance for the personal touches you can't get from Amazon or other big online retailers. Prices at Advance are a little more than you would pay on Amazon in many cases but this can be mitigated by shopping online at Advance's website where they will give you a discount code which, in my experience, is usually 20%. You can shop inventory from your local Advance store online, buy it then go to the store to pick it up about thirty minutes later. It's so easy and saves you money. I enjoy having this store near my home, it's very convenient for me.

Let me be unequivocally clear about something: I don't write reviews. Not because I'm indifferent,…read morebut because in an era of mediocrity, most experiences simply don't warrant the effort. Most car buying journeys are exercises in endurance, tests of patience, fortitude, and the ability to navigate a labyrinth of obfuscation and pressure. But what happened at Cavalier Mazda wasn't just different. It was transformative. It was, without exaggeration, the single most exceptional automotive purchasing experience I have ever had, and I say this as someone who has owned luxury vehicles from BMW, Mercedes, and Audi. What follows isn't merely a review, it's a blueprint for what every dealership should aspire to be. My journey began digitally, through Mazda's "Build My Mazda" tool, where I was connected with Ashley Lyle, Cavalier Mazda's Internet Sales Manager. From that first interaction, something felt different. There was no urgency, no pressure, no sense that I was being funneled into a predetermined outcome. Ashley was professional, responsive, and genuinely helpful, a stark contrast to the typical internet sales experience where you feel like a lead in a database rather than a human being with specific needs and preferences. She set the tone for everything that followed, and that tone was one of respect, transparency, and genuine care. When I arrived at the dealership, Ashley seamlessly transitioned me to Zachary Bushnell, and this is where the experience elevated from excellent to extraordinary. Zach isn't just a salesman, he's a professional who understands that his job isn't to sell you a car, but to help you find the right vehicle for your life. I knew what I wanted, and more importantly, I knew what I didn't want. Zach didn't try to steer me toward inventory that was convenient for the dealership. He showed me multiple vehicles of the same model, each with different configurations, and he rode along on test drives not to pressure me, but to answer questions, demonstrate features, and ensure I understood every aspect of the vehicle. His knowledge was encyclopedic, but it was delivered without pretension or salesmanship. He listened more than he spoke, and when he did speak, it was with insight and genuine enthusiasm for the product. But what happened next demonstrates a level of integrity I have never encountered in any automotive transaction. The vehicle they sourced had additional equipment I hadn't requested, a trailer hitch and other add-ons that had been installed at the originating dealership. In any other transaction, these costs would have been passed along to me, buried in the paperwork with the expectation that I would either accept them or fight to have them removed. Cavalier Mazda didn't wait for me to notice. They didn't wait for me to object. Before the paperwork was even drawn up, they proactively deducted those costs. I didn't have to find anything on the paperwork. I didn't have to negotiate. I didn't have to ask. They simply did what was right before I even walked into the finance office. This level of proactive integrity is so rare in the automotive industry that it feels almost surreal, honesty and fairness built into the process rather than extracted through negotiation. What makes this entire experience so remarkable is that it wasn't the result of one exceptional individual, it was a team effort. From Ashley's initial digital connection to Zach's product expertise, from Summer's customer-focused approach to Christian's comprehensive vehicle walkthrough, from Kerry's financial transparency to the collective commitment to excellence, every single person I interacted with at Cavalier Mazda operated with the same level of professionalism, integrity, and genuine care for the customer. This isn't accidental. This is culture. This is leadership. This is a dealership that has made a deliberate decision to prioritize customer experience over short-term profit maximization, and the result is a level of loyalty and trust that money can't buy. To anyone reading this who is in the market for a vehicle, let me be as clear as possible: Go to Cavalier Mazda. Ask for Zachary Bushnell. Ask for Christian Scott for your vehicle walkthrough. Trust the process. You will not find a better automotive experience anywhere, at any price point. This isn't just a five-star review. This is a masterclass in automotive retail. This is what happens when a dealership decides that doing the right thing is more important than making the most money. This is Cavalier Mazda, and they have redefined what a car buying experience should be.
