He was extremely helpful with multiple customers going the extra mile each time (he really didn't have to) it showed how much he cared and took his job seriously. When it was my turn I overheard him finishing up with another customer and agreeing with them that this location is the best in the area....as in they dont act like they can't help you,are too busy,etc these 4 stars are just for him, he got me in an out quickly. There was another associate though... maybe early 30's, short/stout. I didn't even know he was there until the helpful guy had the other guy ring me up. I was walking around the store looking for something while the helpful guy was helping someone else...walked around a bunch and couldn't find what I was looking for...apparently the other guy was there the whole time off in the corner on his phone ::face palm:: didn't say a word when I entered, didn't acknowledge me or even make his presence known. Just being quiet and creepy and not showing his face until the helpful guy came back inside the store to help me. No stars for this guy, it was annoying to know he was there the whole time but just didn't care (no he wasn't on break, he was just avoiding work). Anywho the younger guy makes the difference with the customer...the other guy....

We came in needing a new battery for his older truck, but knowing we didn't have time to change it there, as he had to get to a Dr.'s appt and I had to get to work. It's a rainy miserable day, but the three employees jumped at the chance to help us. They offered to replace the battery, and much needed windshield wipers on the spot. We were skeptical they could get it done in time, but 10 later the manager himself was closing the hood on the truck (in the rain) with a new battery and wipers in place. People just walking without a purpose and group of men just sitting in an office near what I assume is the (empty) reception desk. Finally while standing there for 5 mins someone that finally noticed that I'm standing there asks if I need help. I tell them I'm there to purchase car parts and well get given the runaround guy tells me to call a number on a little torn piece of paper with a different company name and a different website name where prices differ. I ask if I can wait there to place the order while I'm the phone not knowing that they can not just simply give you the order after waiting on the phone for 45 minutes some guy from who knows where tells me they can only ship the orders, which I was trying to avoid as I could've just gone to amazon to place that same order. Later that day I hop on amazon and place the order from a seller "AUTOPARTS GIANT" which turns out being guess who?! These mf (excuse my French) which not only after seeing my order leave the same city I'm in just to come back to only 6miles away they don't even deliver the full order only sending me one piece of what I ordered now calling amazon which have to send an email to them and I have to wait 2-3 buisness days for a reply. Hilarious! And how do I know it's the same company you may ask? Well on the box you can see the from address comes right back to these imbeciles. Save yourself the trouble and go with my favorite company APO (autoparts outlet)which I used back in San Antonio TX much better customer service guaranteed. That one review on here can't possibly be real about them being helpful is BS. The 2nd time it was 10 min until closing and an employee waved his arms from inside to let me know they were closed. This last time it was 10 min until closing and again the door was locked without an employee in sight. Ive worked retail so I understand wanting to close early but that doesnt mean you do!! Not that it matters, but the one item that I would have purchased each time wouldn't have taken them long to ring up.

However, I do call ahead of time to make sure that the parts are available and the two times that I visited here everything has been available and ready for pick up at the front desk. I actually have a mechanic that I work and he has a reputable reputation with the company as well so everything works out perfectly... availability and deals! The store is a little hard to spot from the road but if you have any GPS system it should guide you spot on! I used my Google Maps without worry. The shop is kind of small however they do have a few shelves of items that you can browse around to see if it's anything else that you need for your vehicle but they mainly specialize in imported cars. And store is pretty much for stocking items and not so much on the main floor. The building does appear larger from outside. No sugar coating here... they're definitely straight and to the point with you. A great group of guys. Parking is alongside the store on the street or there is parking directly behind the building. Be careful heading back on the main street... super busy area of Norfolk. They usually close at 6 during the week and a little earlier on Saturday...call ahead to verify. Becky stepped outside the norm and helped me replace the bulb; it took her 5 minutes. It would have taken me about an hour because I would have researched it and did not have the right tools. Do not get me wrong, I could have done it, but the convenience and her positive attitude made it easier for me not to do it alone. I highly recommend this place for all your car parts needs. Thank goodness you guys were open. I was given friendly and knowledgeable advice by a young man working in the store. I successfully (?) replaced the grease and bearing cap...and made it home.
