Amazingly I found this highly rated mechanic who not only was within AAA's 5 mile tow limit, but who could help me out at 1pm on a Friday! While I waited for the tow truck they ordered the parts and got ready for my arrival. I was quoted 4-5 hours for the job and was so grateful for the comfortable couch and large TV w Netflix to spend the time relaxing after a very busy trip. They were totally fine with my dog hanging out with me as well which was nice to not have to stress about. The AC was nice and cool on a 90° day. The guys were all very friendly and helpful. I am so lucky to have found them!! Because I'm super picky about who works on my car, I took it in to my mechanic when I got home just to be sure all was well (I discovered that my horn didn't work on the way home, but other than that the car ran as if nothing ever happened). My mechanic said everything was good except there were 2 other harnesses that were not connected (I didn't find out what they were). All in all I feel so lucky to have ended up in A&M's shop, I felt very well taken care of and for a good price. THANK YOU GUYS!! I really dont know what I would have done without you! Upon pulling into the lot (around 830am), I was immediately greeted by a technician walking out to diagnose another car. John, behind the desk, told me that my brake job would be one of the first cars in and my car was on the lift lift within 10 minutes. They still offered me a ride home if I didn't want to wait in the lobby though. I waited in the lobby, which was clean, had water, and coffee available as well. While I was waiting, I had multiple interactions with the front employees, the technicians, and John, who is in the process of becoming the owner. They all made me feel welcome and I enjoyed the time sitting in the waiting room. John was a very genuine man as well, and I felt that I was treated fairly, and also saw that he seemed to care about and treat his employees fair as well. The pricing was exactly what I was expecting for quality work, and he didn't hesitate to offer military, and loyalty discounts to customers that came in. Absolutely recommend coming here and this will be my first (and only) stop for any maintenance that I don't do on any of my automobiles.

I took it to a mechanic where I live (FL), and got the shifter fixed. $800 job. that was fixed but the shifting issues came back almost immediately, and this time accompanied by a chirping sound. I took the truck back & my mechanic asked more questions about the work I'd gotten done. I hadn't owned a car in the last 10 years so I didn't know anything. He encouraged me to call them and find out what kind of work was done so they could see if it was related to that and if there was a warranty on it. I called and got a rude person who made sure to tell me that they aren't the same ownership "so WEEE didn't do any work on the truck," she said. I asked if she could get me the information, she put me on hold for 10 minutes, then we got... disconnected. I called right back and got somebody much nicer, who told me what work they did, but was unable to email me any of the information and I guess also unable to find somebody who could do so for her. My mechanic had to call them to get them to send along the information we needed. Turns out all the issues were from the shoddy first job. Great. Better still, it would be covered by the warranty. Turns out labor there was like $300 cheaper than the place I go to now, so I'm not saying you get what you pay for. More that Precise offers a good value when they do the job well (new management, so maybe they do) I understand new ownership means that's not their fault. I am giving 2 stars instead of 1 because they didn't do the shoddy work. They just wouldn't help me at all when I needed them to. My truck is running great now, so I hope you find a mechanic as good as the one I have now. Maybe it's Precise. I don't know.

I brought my vehicle to GearHead because of the positive reviews, but unfortunately, my experience…read morehas left me extremely disappointed and seriously questioning whether I can trust this shop with my vehicle again. When I initially brought my vehicle in, I paid for a full diagnostic and repair of a radiator hose leak. I also reported a very slow oil leak and a rattling noise. To this day, I still do not have an explanation for the rattling noise, despite paying for a full diagnostic. One of the most upsetting parts of this entire experience is that I was specifically told my vehicle was unsafe to drive. Because of that, I followed their recommendation and rented a vehicle while mine was in their possession. I spent over $1,000 on a rental car because I believed my own vehicle could not safely be driven. Imagine my surprise when I picked up my vehicle and discovered that nearly 60 miles had been added to it while it was at the shop. If my vehicle was unsafe for me to drive, why was it safe enough for the shop to put nearly 60 miles on it? I was told the mileage was accumulated because they needed to test a bad part, and I was offered a discount. However, I still do not understand why nearly 60 miles of test driving would be necessary, particularly when I was later told that the suspected bad part still needed to be ordered and replaced. The part is currently in the mail, and I am supposed to bring my vehicle back to have it installed. That alone made me uncomfortable, but unfortunately, the problems did not end there. About a week later, I went to have my tires serviced elsewhere and discovered that my wheel/rim lock key kit was missing. I immediately contacted GearHead and was told that because they did not need to remove my tires, they could not have been responsible. I am extremely particular about keeping track of my wheel lock key kit because I know how easily these items can be misplaced at repair shops. I specifically did not check for it when I picked up my vehicle because none of the work I authorized should have required removing the wheels. After that conversation, I went through my trunk more carefully and discovered that my splash guard is also missing. The splash guard was brand new and had not yet been installed because I was waiting for the leak to be repaired. I am currently waiting for a return call regarding that as well. At this point, I am livid. My wheel lock key kit will cost me over $100 to replace. My brand-new splash guard is missing. I spent over $1,000 renting a vehicle because I was told mine was unsafe to drive, only to discover that nearly 60 miles were put on my supposedly unsafe vehicle while it was in the shop. On top of all of that, I still do not have an answer regarding the rattling noise that was part of the reason I paid for a full diagnostic in the first place. Communication has also been inconsistent. Employees seem to rotate frequently, and people I previously dealt with are suddenly no longer there. That makes continuity and accountability extremely difficult and raises even more concerns for me as a customer. What concerns me most is that I am supposed to return my vehicle once the ordered part arrives. After everything that has happened, I genuinely do not feel comfortable bringing my vehicle back. I chose GearHead because its reviews gave me confidence that my vehicle would be handled professionally. Instead, I am now out the money I paid for repairs and diagnostics, over $1,000 for a rental, and potentially the cost of replacing my wheel lock key kit and brand-new splash guard. I am giving GearHead the opportunity to address the missing property, the nearly 60 miles placed on my vehicle after I was told it was unsafe to drive, the unresolved rattling noise, and the overall lack of communication. I sincerely hope management takes this seriously and makes this situation right. As it currently stands, this entire experience has been completely unacceptable.
