Long story short, they've held my car in the shop for almost two years now (complete engine swap). I'm extremely disgusted by their work ethic and the current state of the car. The owners were not in today so I asked the receptionist what was the reason for it being held up for so long? She said the exact same story they've been telling me all along. "OoOoOh we are losing workers and the new guys don't know what's going on with the current projects".. regardless, how is that my fault? Plus, one of the actual owners claims to be the one working on the car himself so..? I don't understand the issue. had I not stopped in today; who knows when would have been the next time they notified me. Thats also another thing. EXTREMELY POOR COMMUNICATION, why is it that no one at this shop can keep me in the loop? Updates? Nope. Never. Estimated time of completion? LOL. never! Oh you're going on deployment? Let's put this project on pause. Now, there has been "some" progress on the car which I will give them that but come on now we are going on two years. TWO YEARS GUYS!? I guess 3 is the magic number? I took my car to the shop because when I was changing my catalytic converter the studs broke off into the engine because they were rusty and I wasn't able to remove them, so I took it to the "experts" to get them out since they would have the tools and the experience to get them out. My car was in the shop for over a week. On the first day they let me know that it was gonna take longer than expected I said ok. About 4 days later they called to tell me that they would have to drop my engine in order to remove the studs because nothing they tried was working. Everyone told me that they were trying to milk me for more money since they shouldn't have to drop the engine to take out the studs but what other choice did I have. 2 days later they got out 1 stud then they other stud 2 days after that. They told me my car would be ready on Friday I went there at 12:30pm and waited for over 5 hours and still didn't get my car. while I was waiting no came to communicate with me on the update on my car, if I didn't ask no Information was given. After waiting for more than 5 hours they told me that I needed a serpentine belt I asked why they claimed that my engine wasn't put together properly and that everything on the right was placed at an angle, so now they have to put everything back in the right place . I said I've been driving my car for over 3 yrs and no other mechanic has ever told me that so how is it a problem now?? Anyways I bought the belt and also a tension belt pulley. The next day I had to call to see if my car was ready, I went there with my mechanic. They wanted me to pay without going for a test drive I said not if u want your money we going for a drive. The minute he got into the car I saw the look on his face that something was wrong, when the car started it was loud rough and there was a rattling which sounded like the shield wasn't on properly and on top of that my A/C wasn't working and I had a check engine light. When I told them that my A/C was working when I gave them the car they denied it saying that they don't if it was working or not. There was some back and forth discussion with them and my mechanic about what they did and they denied responsibility for everything. So I needed up pay $2000 for a $145 job. Anyways I took my car to my mechanic to try and fix what they did and only to find out the reason my A/C wasn't working was because they didn't connect the A/C clutch back properly and also they didn't screw back in the A/C line and it was just hanging underneath my car. Next the shield that covers the catalytic wasn't bolted in at all and that's why I kept on hearing the sound and my down stream O2 sensor wasn't tightened at all we unscrewed it with our hand. The cover for the O2 sensor wasn't on and last but not least a bolt was just placed in a slot for 1 of my engine Mount not screwed in at all we just took it out, that bolt could have came off in my engine while driving and mess up my engine. The best of all my battery terminal wasn't tight at all so my car died in the middle of me driving on the highway. I was a little worried about taking my car anywhere to get my lambo door conversion kit installed but after calling around to a lot of places, LIVauto said they could do it. At first I was disappointed that it took longer than expected and I didn't get a phone call the first day but once I complained they were very good about keeping me updated. They did a great job INSTALLING THE DOORS ONLY. *UPDATE: I have taken my 2017 Camaro here 4 times since my original visit to get Lamborghini doors installed. Every time I take it back there is a new issue than there was before. The last time I returned to get my air bag light fixed, they fixed the airbag light but did not reconnect all the wiring in my door panel leaving me unable to roll down my windows or adjust my mirrors. This is unacceptable work for a place that calls themselves "car professionals." Stick to bringing them older foreign cars that they understand. Once I complained about this issue they said "You will have these issues due to after market parts being installed." No. Because the first time I took my car in, ALL MY WINDOWS WORKED. And then the forgot to reconnect my running lights, fixed that issue and they fuck up my air bag light - which is the last thing I took my car in to get fixed for. I would not recommend this place based on how many times I keep having to return for different issues. If the mechanics would just triple check their work the first time I wouldn't be having these problems. I will not be taking my car back for them to fix my windows - I trust myself doing it than people that don't understand how wiring works. Thank you. read more

What I received (and countless others received) was scrap metal with flaking spray paint, the motor mounts didn't even have bushings. After countless back and forth emails, as you stated in your response, it was clear to me that you were not interested in providing a quality service. I still have the poor excuse for motor mounts you sent me, it's not too late to redeem yourself if you're truly serious. Besides, your work is unmistakable, it's not like you wouldn't recognize it, after all it says LIVauto all over it. As for your attempt to disparage my reviews "all over the internet," I posted my experience twice, once here and once on google, I didn't even try to hide my identity by changing up the post, I literally copied and pasted and I see that you've adopted the same technique. Every other complaint you saw were different people. I know, I was surprised to see all your disgruntled customers too. I pride myself in being a fair reviewer, you can check my other reviews and see for yourself. I typically only review businesses that are very good or very bad, I figure the mediocre businesses will reveal themselves on their own. That being said, if I waited so long to review your business, it must say a lot about my experience. Not only was I not familiar with yelp at the time or online reviews weren't as popular then, which was good for your business, but our transaction left me with a bitter taste after all those years ($2,600 isn't change in my pocket). I'm not trying to bring your business down, I simply expressed my ordeal, after all isn't that what Yelp is for? Didn't you sign your company up to get rated? Since I finally see you motivated to try and resolve this issue, i will give you a call whenever i have a chance, however I'm now in my 30's and swapping the engine out of my project car is no longer a priority but I appreciate your concern. After shopping around to find someone in the area who does excellent work on installing fog lamps and a bar mount on my 4Runner, I decided on having James (owner) and his staff perform work on my vehicle. I decided to go with this company due to the 5 star ratings that it had received. And, I am glad that I made the correct decision to do so. I was very impressed with the quality of the work that they did on my SUV. My husband's F150 had an aftermarket radio that was terrible (and that's being nice). We know nothing about audio systems so of course I turned to yelp. I emailed 3 places asking for quotes/info. Don't waste your time or money on Liv Auto! They will never give you your car back on time . Had my car 5 months for 2 week job max , to wire an ECU (which looks like a birds nest) and a tune. Not to mention they scratched my new paint job. got grease on my brand new seat and there bad copy and paste tune blew my turbo and my piston. Many regrets .. But I see they get 5 stars for stereo installing , way to go !!! read more

The auto techs have no problem explaining exactly what they're doing and why so that you don't feel like you are getting ripped off like so many other places. This is an up and coming business owned by 2 brothers. It is easy to get to...just a couple of blocks off of 264 in an industrial park We had a great experience there getting a radio replaced in a 2010 Mini Cooper. From start to finish, service was very professional, competent, timely, and reasonably priced. There is a comfortable waiting area with TV for customers if you have to hang out and wait for your car. Received frequent updates on the progress of the job from the shop's owner. When he was done with the installation, the tech left the car in pristine condition, even vacuuming up glass from a previously shattered windshield that was released while he was working. Would definitely use Livauto's services again, and would recommend them to others! read more
