I normally do not leave negative reviews unless I genuinely feel a dealership failed to handle a situation properly, but this experience has been extremely disappointing from start to finish. I brought my 2026 Ram 2500 diesel in because the rear ParkSense system suddenly started falsely detecting an object directly behind the truck every time I put it in reverse. The truck immediately beeps and shows an obstacle in the center even when nothing is there. The dealership insisted my receiver hitch was causing the problem. That explanation never made sense because I have owned this truck since November 6th of last year with the exact same hitch setup and had never experienced this issue until recently. The hitch also flips underneath the truck and is not even visible when stored. I repeatedly explained this to Louise, the service director, and even suggested a simple test: install a similar hitch on another new Ram truck to see whether the issue could be recreated. Instead of testing their theory, the dealership continued insisting the hitch was the problem. After picking my truck up, I removed the hitch myself and recorded a video clearly showing that the exact same ParkSense problem still exists even with the hitch completely removed. I sent the video directly to Louise, and I still have not received a response. At that point, rather than acknowledging the possibility of a faulty sensor, moisture intrusion, software issue, or an incomplete diagnosis, I was essentially told to lose their number and take my vehicle somewhere else because they did not want to continue discussing the issue. What makes this even more disappointing is that I have purchased four vehicles from this dealership over the years. I previously removed another negative review after Louise helped resolve a separate issue following the sale of this truck. I genuinely gave this dealership another opportunity because of that prior experience. Unfortunately, this situation was handled very differently. Instead of receiving a professional diagnosis and reasonable customer service, I was dismissed, blamed for the issue, and ultimately forced to seek service elsewhere after proving their original diagnosis was incorrect. Over the weekend, I inquired about a Chevrolet Silverado listed in your inventory. After reviewing the vehicle virtually with the assigned sales representative, we agreed upon a final purchase price, which was confirmed in writing via text. Based on this agreement, I arranged childcare and traveled to the dealership with my wife. We completed a physical inspection and a test drive, both of which went smoothly, and confirmed our intent to purchase. However, once we sat down to complete the paperwork, the sales representative stated he would need to consult his General Manager and play a "charade" to honor the agreed-upon price. Following a 30-minute delay, he informed us that the dealership would not honor the written price quote and the "charade did not work." Additionally, the representative presented a vehicle spec sheet listing options and packages that the truck was not actually equipped with. When I brought these discrepancies to his attention, he offered no explanation or resolution. I informed the representative that these practices were unbusinesslike, deceptive, and a poor use of a customer's time. Under Texas law, sales representatives operate with apparent authority to bind the dealership to representations made during negotiations. Failing to honor a written price agreement and presenting inaccurate vehicle specifications violate standard fair-trade and transparent sales practices. This review is for their service department. They were running a tire special so I made an appointment to have new sneakers installed on my step daughter's Bronco. I also scheduled a 4-wheel alignment. I received a number of text messages before the appointment setting my expectations regarding my service visit. Excellent customer communications! We bought a 2021 Dodge Ram for our son from Nyle Maxwell. We are from Amarillo so we flew in to pick up the truck and drive it back 7 hours. We made it two hours and the engine light came on with the attached message. We stopped at Stanley Jeep Ram in Brownwood to see if they could check the diagnostics. They did and found that all kinds of codes came up (see pictures) but the one causing the issue was a exhaust differential pressure sensor. We had bought the extended warranty so we didn't think we had anything to worry about, but the dealership let us know it doesn't go into effect until 30 days AFTER the purchase. This is a way for the warranty companies to make sure the dealerships are not selling junk cars and that they will at least last 30 days. Called our sales man Travis and let him know the issues we were having and he told us they had already spent too much money for them to fix it and still make money and that we should leave it at the dealership in Brownwood for 30 days until our extended warranty kicked in and they would fix it. In other words, we have his and Nyle Maxwells permission to commit fraud. The truck broke down 5 hours from our house. We had to get a hot shot to pick it up which cost $1985 plus $570.83 from the dealership to fix the issue for a pickup we owned 2 hours! No phone calls from Nyle Maxwell, they don't care, STAY AWAY!! read more

This place is something else. I used to work at this exact location in 2008 to 2009. Good luck being able to talk to a service advisor. When you call you either get the automated voice response or the receptionist. After requesting to speak with a service advisor through either option the phone just continues to ring. Called three different times during the day and still nothing. On the 4th call I asked the receptionist if it was always this difficult to speak with an advisor. She said they are all probably busy. Humm ok. I get it's 2026 and customer service is a thing of the past but come on. Thank goodness I don't have a serious issue. I wish this company the best of luck. read more

Our experience with the Finance Department after the sale has been extremely disappointing. We emailed our GAP cancellation (for a truck we sold 8 weeks ago) paperwork on June 22 and received no response. We followed up again on June 24, and after hearing nothing, we even stopped by the dealership in person. Once again, we're told it would be taken care of. This isn't a complicated request. We provided every document that was asked of us, and all we're trying to do is have our GAP cancellation submitted so our refund can be processed. It's frustrating to feel like once the paperwork is signed and the sale is complete, customer service comes to a halt. A simple acknowledgment or update would have gone a long way. We hope management addresses this issue so future customers don't have to repeatedly follow up just to have routine paperwork handled. read more

We went in there to test drive a used Fiat that was advertised. It was a one owner vehicle that they had originally sold and then serviced throughout its life. Our salesman Isaac was friendly and no pressure, and the manager Bo immediately lowered the asking price by $500. We quickly received their best offer, and everyone was friendly and competent. No hours of back-and-forth ridiculousness, no added on "reconditioning fees", or making you sign on an X that you were going to buy the car that day - none of that terrible car dealership mumbo-jumbo that makes you want to scream. She then delivered the check to my house a day later. weekend goes by and the check was bounced leaving my checking account negative and the bank charging me for that bounced check . They had my Jeep for over a week, did no repairs, gave me conflicting information, and tried to charge me two deductibles for delays that were their fault. The Service Director cut me off repeatedly, refused to let me explain the situation, dismissed my concerns, and hung up on me. Advisors have yelled on the phone, never apologized, and offered zero accountability. Worst of all -- the Jeep they sold me has a major safety issue. The rear seats do not lock into place. My experience with Nyle Maxwell Supercenter has been very mixed. Sales and Finance: The sales and finance teams were excellent. The process was smooth, professional, and overall a great experience. No complaints there. Service Department: Unfortunately, my experience with the service department was the complete opposite. It took nearly four months just to get an appointment, which was frustrating in itself. When I finally brought my truck in, I had a recall scheduled along with a list of five intermittent electrical issues that needed attention. The vehicle was kept for 24 hours and driven about 60 miles. While they did reconnect the wiper fluid lines, the handling of the actual concerns was disappointing. Instead of acknowledging that the issues could not be replicated, I was told that the systems were "functioning as designed." That response is concerning, especially given that the problems are intermittent by nature. Expecting those issues to present themselves within a short testing window is unrealistic, and dismissing them without proper acknowledgment doesn't instill confidence. To add to the frustration, I was informed after the appointment that the recall could not be completed because parts would not be available until mid-April. This is something that should have been communicated at the time the appointment was scheduled. Overall, while the sales experience was excellent, the service department fell far short of expectations. We recently visited Nyle Maxwell to see a 2020 Mazda CX-3 Sport (black) that looked well-maintained in the pictures. Unfortunately, the in-person experience was very different. The vehicle had several noticeable issues: * Strong cigarette odor inside the car. * Paint dots and marks on the doors. * Door fixtures stained with ash and scratches, which would take multiple deep cleanings to fix. * Trunk liner cover missing. * Car needed alignment (noticeable while test driving). * Rotors and wheels in major need of replacement/repairs, plus other mechanical fixes that would easily cost a buyer 2-3 months of expenses right after purchase. When we asked for the pre-conditioning report, the staff claimed they didn't have it--even though they're the same dealership that serviced it. Instead, the manager tried to justify the price by saying it was "the best deal" and blamed tariffs and sales trends for their aggressive pricing tactics. We also found out that their "best price" of $200-$300 less only applies if you finance through them. On top of that, they push a so-called "free lifetime warranty", but nothing is free. Their cars are priced above fair market value, and that "warranty" is simply built into the cost. And then there are the dealer fees. They presented a breakdown showing a Doc Fee ($225), License Fee ($108.50), Title Fee ($37.75), Road & Bridge Fee ($23), Inspection ($21.75), and Deputy Fee ($10). All of that was bundled into $426 total dealer fees. Other dealerships we visited charged around $250 total, so this was still inflated. The way it's presented also makes it look like you're paying a stack of mandatory government charges, when in reality it's just the dealership's internal fee package. To make matters worse, the manager demanded to see a comparable vehicle listing before even considering negotiation. By the time I found one, I realized just how overpriced this vehicle actually was compared to others on the market. The sales process felt pushy. Rather than addressing defects or negotiating fairly, the manager insisted it was already the best deal. Later, when another salesperson stepped in, she came across aggressive and unfriendly, which only made the experience worse trying to harshly sell their lifetime warranty. No girl. In the end, we didn't buy the CX-3. We found a better deal at another dealership, a 2021 model with 10k fewer miles, less damage, and a lower price. The difference in customer service was night and day. Nearby dealerships like Kia North Austin and Covert treated us with respect, were transparent, and actually listened. Takeaway: * Don't advertise a low price and then add inflated dealer fees on top. * Don't mislabel internal fees as government charges. * Don't sell cars with obvious defects and mechanical issues at inflated prices. * Don't fall for the "free lifetime warranty" pitch, it's baked into their inflated prices. * Don't make customers feel trapped by financing games. But not this time I have to tell it like it is, I had a truly bad experience to the day I regret step in this dealership, as I wrote before I bought a truck RAM 2020 Lonestar with 163,838 miles on it on August 14th. At this dealership Nyle Maxwell Super Center, with barely 851 miles in just 57 days, the truck have a failure on the date of October 9th. 2025, I took it to the dealership because it displayed a check engine light, next thing I called the place and this Lady Samantha Melhado took good care of me very professional very kind the people of this area really treated me well even the Manager responsible of the area and rental I appreciate it much their help God Bless them all, Samantha explained to me the possible causes and the outcome was "Engine problems", they found shaved metal particles inside the engine & they reportedly told the warranty company about it, & I told them I do really need the truck back since I am losing business as we speak, for God's Sake I gave a downpayment of $7000 on the truck & now it was broken already, why they sold me a vehicle in those conditions "Why"?. They contemplated initially the possibility of me paying money for the dismantling of the vehicle to find the root of the problem but I spoke with the manager and Samantha and he said that I was right & he would take care of it for a minute I felt relief but when I found out that the might have to replace the whole engine, how much more time I have to waste to have the vehicle back then? And I took the hard decision of acquired another vehicle I tough they would actually offered me to swap it for other vehicle to make it right for the bad experience that I had with the first truck with Mr. Travis this guy is a great man, But this situation didn't help my experience, the same sales man who sold me the first truck & he offered me a RAM 2019 Lonestar with 99,701. The bad things about this vehicle had a hit on the back rear of the vehicle, dent on the left side chipped windshield two cracks to be precise, vehicle seems to be working in good condition and I got every single warranty they sold me & I still gave a downpayment of $2,000 for this vehicle in order to deflate the monthly payments a little, because for the RAM 2020 I was making payments of $368.58 now with this truck I am making payments of $584.20, they screwed me big time. Instead, I was told it was "not covered" because they "didn't put the screw in the tire," and that I would have to pay out of pocket just to have it repaired. The manager's attitude was dismissive, unhelpful, and completely lacking customer care. Rather than trying to offer any reasonable solution or explain the warranty professionally, the situation escalated to the point where I was told I was "not allowed" at the dealership anymore. I honestly hate writing reviews unless they are good ones. However I am fed up with this service department. I must let the people know what type of service they provide their customers. Less than two years ago about a 2021 ram 1500, $80,000 truck from another ram dealership. Unfortunately, I've had to get it service over four times within the year and 10 months that I've had the truck. Every single time that I left it, they kept it for over a week. The first time they kept it for over two weeks because they had ordered the wrong parts. I asked the service managers for a rental or loaner car just like any other dealership gives when we take our work trucks to get service. They kept on denying me so I had to pay for my own Rent-A-Car, which was close to $1000 the first time and the second time over $500. This is the fourth time that I have my truck there. I have to call them all day to try to get a hold of a manager. Every single time I've been denied a loaner or any type of help getting into a rental car. Every time, they just tell me sorry we don't have anything available, everything is booked up. Then one of the other manager slips up and tells me that they reserve/ give priority in the rental cars for people that buy directly from their dealership. Jacob Rogers, the service manager should honestly be fired. He doesn't know what customer service is. Which sucks because the Service Advisor Mindy is a good advisor and cares. What is the difference between my $80,000 truck and the one day they sell to somebody else? It's is the same manufacture, the same company, and all customers should be treated equally. Or at least get some sort of help, not just say sorry there's nothing we can do for you. No wonder there's a 2.5 rating for this dealership. **Buyer Beware** Extremely disappointed with my experience at Nyle Maxwell. I found a vehicle listed as new on their website that matched exactly what I was looking for. I even confirmed over the phone that it was a brand-new, never-owned vehicle and eligible for all the benefits of a new Jeep. However, when I arrived at the dealership to finalize the purchase, I was told -- only then -- that it was actually a demo unit. Despite my concerns, I was reassured that it still qualified for all new vehicle programs, so I moved forward with the purchase based on that assurance. Fast forward to my first oil change, and I find out the vehicle is not eligible for the complimentary two years of Jeep Wave. When I contacted the dealership, they offered no meaningful solution -- just a vague offer of loyalty points if I downloaded their app. The whole experience felt misleading and unprofessional. I would not recommend doing business with any of the Nyle Maxwell dealerships. Trust and transparency matter, and unfortunately, both were lacking here. read more

Maxwell saved me $800 that I nearly overpaid a local, what I thought was reputable shop, near where I live. Jacob, service advisor at Maxwell, assured me they would take care of me and they delivered. My Ram 1500 was in and out in one day and only cost me $100 out of pocket for my extended warranty deductible. It should be illegal what some of these other shops are doing. Didn't resolve the transmission issue on my 2025 RAM RHO. The service advisor was incredibly dismissive, proceeded to explain to me how a "performance" transmission operates, it was baffling as I immediately realized he didn't have the slightest idea how a transmission operates and I question if this vehicle was properly diagnosed. After some back and forth he acknowledged that since the RHO wasn't throwing a CEL, they had nothing to go on - plus it's the first RHO at your dealership according to my service advisor. He said they could open a STAR (?) case but they would need more time with the vehicle. Again, it's baffling to me that he had possession of my vehicle to diagnose the issue, but was ready to hand the keys back to me instead of just proactively opening a case. I posted my experience on the message forums and was immediately greeted by folks willing to help out. They recommended another dealership in central Texas. I went there this morning and within 15 minutes they were already updating the PCM based on a recent service bulletin and started their diagnostic process. This was excellent service by folks that truly wanted to resolve my issue and provide a great experience. Overall, I will not be back, nor would I recommend Nyle Maxwell for service. read more

I will continue updating this review until the bot stops replying in an attempt to make it seem like I'm getting helped. Again, my car came back in pieces. Service rep was kind but had no idea the car was not ready. I had to exit my car, hand her the keys, and watch her drive it in to the shop. I had to wait outside for the mechanic to reassemble it. Would not recommend this place. I have not gotten in touch with any human representative since then. They continue replying to my review making it seem like I'm getting attention - I am not. Every time I call the number provided, I get a machine. read more

My Jeep was serviced with pitting in a new sensor in the front. I paid a premium having it serviced at dealership. It worked for 3 days before I had to bring it back in. Did so again, and it worked for 2 days this time. Called again and no loaners avail for months on end, which is hard for a single person with kids. They needed vehicle for a week minimum. Called several more times and each time they could not find a loaner, despite it being under warrantee. Now it's no longer under warrantee. I should have just bitten the bullet, but thought since the service guy said it won't be a problem lm to wait until I didn't need my car for a week to bring it in. He is no longer there.... read more
