Salesman telling me they spent allot of money working on it and couldn't do anything else for us
    Kaleb L.

We bought a 2021 Dodge Ram for our son from Nyle Maxwell. We are from Amarillo so we flew in to pick up the truck and drive it back 7 hours. We made it two hours and the engine light came on with the attached message. We stopped at Stanley Jeep Ram in Brownwood to see if they could check the diagnostics. They did and found that all kinds of codes came up (see pictures) but the one causing the issue was a exhaust differential pressure sensor. We had bought the extended warranty so we didn't think we had anything to worry about, but the dealership let us know it doesn't go into effect until 30 days AFTER the purchase. This is a way for the warranty companies to make sure the dealerships are not selling junk cars and that they will at least last 30 days. Called our sales man Travis and let him know the issues we were having and he told us they had already spent too much money for them to fix it and still make money and that we should leave it at the dealership in Brownwood for 30 days until our extended warranty kicked in and they would fix it. In other words, we have his and Nyle Maxwells permission to commit fraud. The truck broke down 5 hours from our house. We had to get a hot shot to pick it up which cost $1985 plus $570.83 from the dealership to fix the issue for a pickup we owned 2 hours! No phone calls from Nyle Maxwell, they don't care, STAY AWAY!!

Ask for Kay for an Outstanding Car Buying Experience! I had an absolutely phenomenal experience at Nyle Maxwell Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM of Austin! I bought a 2022 Dodge Challenger R/T, and from start to finish, Kay went above and beyond to make it happen. When I first found the Challenger online, there weren't any photos yet because it had just been listed. I'd been searching for months for the perfect car, and this one turned out to be the car of my dreams. I reached out to the dealership, and Kay immediately sent me photos and a walk-around video. She had the car ready for us when we arrived, stayed late to answer all our questions, and was honest and transparent through the entire process. Kay worked incredibly hard to get us to the payment and rate we wanted--even with a ton of negative equity and only fair credit. The finance manager and team were just as fantastic--professional, communicative, and easy to work with. One of the most impressive things Kay did was personally drive the car to my house to test if it could make it up our steep driveway before we finalized the deal. Who does that anymore? That kind of dedication blew us away! The paperwork with Kristin was quick and painless, and the extended warranties were impressive. When we finally drove home, the Challenger was spotless, detailed, and everything I'd hoped for. If you want a dealership that will jump through hoops to make your dream car a reality, go to Nyle Maxwell! And ask for Kay! She's a woman of action who gets things done. As a female buyer, it meant the world to work with such a knowledgeable, genuine, and empowering salesperson. Thank you, Kay and the entire Nyle Maxwell team, for an unforgettable experience.

We went in there to test drive a used Fiat that was advertised. It was a one owner vehicle that they had originally sold and then serviced throughout its life. Our salesman Isaac was friendly and no pressure, and the manager Bo immediately lowered the asking price by $500. We quickly received their best offer, and everyone was friendly and competent. No hours of back-and-forth ridiculousness, no added on "reconditioning fees", or making you sign on an X that you were going to buy the car that day - none of that terrible car dealership mumbo-jumbo that makes you want to scream. When we picked up the car, it was perfectly detailed and they didn't keep us there for hours trying to get us to buy extra things. All in all a very pleasant experience! Ask for Isaac, he was super low-key and knowledgeable salesman.

    Fees

We recently visited Nyle Maxwell to see a 2020 Mazda CX-3 Sport (black) that looked well-maintained in the pictures. Unfortunately, the in-person experience was very different. The vehicle had several noticeable issues: * Strong cigarette odor inside the car. * Paint dots and marks on the doors. * Door fixtures stained with ash and scratches, which would take multiple deep cleanings to fix. * Trunk liner cover missing. * Car needed alignment (noticeable while test driving). * Rotors and wheels in major need of replacement/repairs, plus other mechanical fixes that would easily cost a buyer 2-3 months of expenses right after purchase. When we asked for the pre-conditioning report, the staff claimed they didn't have it--even though they're the same dealership that serviced it. Instead, the manager tried to justify the price by saying it was "the best deal" and blamed tariffs and sales trends for their aggressive pricing tactics. We also found out that their "best price" of $200-$300 less only applies if you finance through them. On top of that, they push a so-called "free lifetime warranty", but nothing is free. Their cars are priced above fair market value, and that "warranty" is simply built into the cost. And then there are the dealer fees. They presented a breakdown showing a Doc Fee ($225), License Fee ($108.50), Title Fee ($37.75), Road & Bridge Fee ($23), Inspection ($21.75), and Deputy Fee ($10). All of that was bundled into $426 total dealer fees. Other dealerships we visited charged around $250 total, so this was still inflated. The way it's presented also makes it look like you're paying a stack of mandatory government charges, when in reality it's just the dealership's internal fee package. To make matters worse, the manager demanded to see a comparable vehicle listing before even considering negotiation. By the time I found one, I realized just how overpriced this vehicle actually was compared to others on the market. The sales process felt pushy. Rather than addressing defects or negotiating fairly, the manager insisted it was already the best deal. Later, when another salesperson stepped in, she came across aggressive and unfriendly, which only made the experience worse trying to harshly sell their lifetime warranty. No girl. In the end, we didn't buy the CX-3. We found a better deal at another dealership, a 2021 model with 10k fewer miles, less damage, and a lower price. The difference in customer service was night and day. Nearby dealerships like Kia North Austin and Covert treated us with respect, were transparent, and actually listened. Takeaway: * Don't advertise a low price and then add inflated dealer fees on top. * Don't mislabel internal fees as government charges. * Don't sell cars with obvious defects and mechanical issues at inflated prices. * Don't fall for the "free lifetime warranty" pitch, it's baked into their inflated prices. * Don't make customers feel trapped by financing games. There's a reason this dealership has 2.5-star reviews and our visit confirmed it.

Wow, never thought I would be leaving a positive review for a car dealership, but I am so impressed! From the very start, communication from the sales team was great. I arrived at the dealership and my desired vehicle was waiting. After a couple hours I walked out with the deal and vehicle I wanted. I will say, who impressed me the most was Carlos, the accessories expert. They were able to get my accessories in the purchase deal, and yes that means I saved on taxes. Carlos walked me through what I wanted and with his knowledge we built my Jeep to best fit my needs. Love it!! Hope you have the same great experience I did with Nyle. And make sure you speak with Carlos before you close the deal, he can add any accessory you want!! Thank you Carlos and the entire Nyle team.

I am old school, so getting the old school treatment in a modern-day automotive shop was refreshing! Here is what I mean: 1 - AJ greeted & guided me into the appropriate bay. 2 - He explained that I could stay in my car where I might be more comfortable or wait in their waiting room (I chose to wait in their waiting room). 3 - He asked for the previous sticker. When he noticed the residue on my windshield from a past oil change sticker (not theirs), he offered to clean that right up for me! When I got my vehicle back, the residue was gone. 4 - He came to the waiting room to inform me of what my cost would be for my requested services. 5 - Mid-way through the oil change, he let me know which of my fluids were good-to-go & the ones that he topped off. 6 - He showed me my air filter, & we discussed when I would likely need to replace it (a replacement air filter was not needed). No guilt or pressure tactics, just helpful information. 7 - When the oil change was completed, he drove it to the other side where they do the tire rotations & came to let me know that my vehicle had moved to the next phase. The guy that completed my tire rotation & took the payment was extremely courteous & very personable as well. He took the time to put a smile on my face when I knew that he had to be hot as hell at 3pm in the afternoon! I wish that I had asked for his name, but not having his name doesn't diminish his part in why I am giving these guys a 5-star rating. Great job all around! TOP NOTCH experience. This guy that he sent had to come back because break line and components came off next day while driving. I have pics and texts to prove. My GM 6.2 V8 come to find out common problem for that motor lifters went out so I went to him for the engine replacement. His price quoted was pretty good so I gave him a shot. My car was not even drivable this whole time (we had to wait on engine and things for months) yet I get a call the day he test drives it for the first time and he tells me I need new steering column. The car did not go in for steering issues. It was completely fine. He blames it on wear and tire from my lift and big tires. I call the people who did my lift and I called covert Cadillac certified mechanics and gave the history of car and lift and all and they called BS. My fault for not driving to Frank's place to see for myself. So I pick it up after engine replacement and steering column replacement. I get not but a mile down road from his shop and no acceleration and engine is just revving up loud . I coast off the road to luckily a gas station right there. What looks like oil and grease is splattered all over undercarriage and side and back windows. I have pics of all this. Transmission line came off. I won't give any more specific on this because I'm in process of filing the lawsuit and taking him to court. So He has a guy come meet me, I took video of his mechanics actions and what he did and Frank telling him on the phone I'm good to go, needless to say he screwed up. I get home and next day the car does it again right as I drive out of my home. I call Frank to get it towed back to his shop which is about 45 min to an hour from Lakeway. Frank gets car back, now he tells me I need new transmission. After transmission I go back to car to pickup and I go to open my door and there was mechanic grease all over headliner and seats, spilled oil on my rubber mats, bird shit all over the outside and dust and pollen caked the interior. He left windows cracked. I took pics of everything as proof. He decides to offer me a detail, so he sends me down the road. He paid for it yet I waited 3 hours. What I'm paid for my time in work you could say was a bigger loss. The fact alone my car was in that condition when he called to tell me it was ready is reason alone you shouldn't use him. I've included pics with this post. I could go on with several other smaller things I asked him to do while he had my car for engine replacement and transmission repair that I needed done. He never fixed them. I again have proof where he acknowledges he forgot so now I have to reschedule to have him finish the job. I also recorded most of our phone conversations that prove he apologizes for messing up. It came to the point where I was recording the convos because prior to me doing that it was just word salad on his part and I knew it this point I needed to document for the court. You would be amazed how many texts I have where I have had to constantly follow up and check on him after he would give me a supposed timeline or update with a promise he would keep me updated. I'm convinced all these reviews on here that are high stars aren't legit whatsoever. I have meticulously documented everything with pics, texts and phone conversations. If you're smart and reading this don't give him your business no matter how well quoted he may be . He may try to defend himself with a reply like some others he's done to on here. I've got it all though m, the truth. I was always extremely nice in all my texts to him, I was at the mercy of his screw ups and didn't want to be a jerk. No matter what when your rude or a jerk you run the risk to be even more screwed over so I chose to take high road and he knows it. I've verified and shown all my proof to several different master General Motors Master technicians and they all came back with resounding response that Frank was at fault. So now it will be in the courts hands and I will update this once it's over. For anyone that would like to know more you can contact me. I've got all you would need to run as fast as you can from this mechanic. I've even documented some new mechanics that showed me what things he did that they couldn't believe from when he did the engine replacement. His shop spliced so many wires and I took video the moment the mechanics found these issues and they talk on camera about it. I've asked Frank over the last several weeks and really last 6 months to send me an itemized list of repairs like a receipt. His reply was he texted me the cost every time he had to charge me for something. Last thing, he never once showed up on time for any of the jobs that he did. I have proof of his reasons for being late and apologies for every one of them. What kind of professional does that. All the more reason to believe these reviews are fake
