Other than high battery prices (which seems to be the case with all the standalone parts places as compared to Walmart), I enjoy visiting the Cedar Park AutoZone. They are always well stocked and have about anything you need for your automobile, from actual parts to cleaning solutions. Their prices include installation of basic parts like windshield wipers and batteries. I am always greeted by the friendly staff when I arrive. Sometimes the checkout process is a little confusing. There is one main register that is rarely manned. Then there are a couple of computers down the counter where the employees look up available car parts. Customers can also pay for those parts there at those computers. If you only buy something from the salesfloor, and the 2 or 3 employees are helping customers needing parts, there is nowhere to pay. You don't know if you should go stand at the main register and wait or get behind one of the parts customers and wait. It doesn't happen often, but it does when they're really busy. The prices are in line with other parts houses, and they also collect used motor oil without charge. So if you, like I, change your own oil, you can take the used oil there for disposal. read more

I was pleased that they had the battery and oil I needed. When we walked in, we were acknowledged and directed to where we needed to be. There's a huge wall of motor oil! I found an employee willing to indulge in a search for a compass for my dash. I knew it was an item carried mammy years ago, but he liked and checked to see if they had it in stock. My Mom was on the way to run errands and her 2010's era Kia Soul car wouldn't start. We jumped her battery and her engine started revving again! While her battery was already way past its expected life at 5 years, we wanted to see how far it could go! After all who doesn't want to stretch their car battery's life!? We needed some groceries and my Mom was happy to make a quick run to HEB. Her car started up and a smooth-drive-up-Anderson-Mill later she made it to HEB's parking lot on the corner of Anderson Mill and FM 620! Fast-forward one hour, after a pleasant grocery shopping experience, her car stalled when she put her keys in the ignition... Fortunately a gentleman from our wonderful Cedar Park community saw my Mom was in need and helped her jump her car again. A few cable connections later and she was on the way home! I'm still grateful for that gentleman's help! Turn the clock forward a few days and my Mom was ready to get on the road again with her list of errands in hand. *Click... click... click*, my Mom's car battery wouldn't start... We stretched it as far as we could. This time it was time to get help from the Good, Professional People at Autozone! Our Amazing neighbors who are like extended family members came over to help us remove my Mom's car battery! We kind of tried a few things and then our neighbor Michael recommended that we just jump my Mom's car again and drive Together to Autozone! Thank God my Mom's car started one last time! We got on the road, nervous that her Trustworthy & Dependable Kia Soul would stall along the way. With anxiety at the wheel, we vroomed up Anderson Mill and onto White Stone! We both sighed with relief when my Mom's car was neatly parked in front of the Autozone doorway! When we went in, a kind, hardworking, cheerful staff member named Kilani greeted us and asked us, "How can I help you?!" My Mom shared about needing a new car battery and Kilani was quick, professional, & effective at finding us the right battery for her exact Kia Soul car model! She shared pricing & warranty options as well to fit our budget! Once my Mom chose the best battery for her budget, an older staff member & gentleman helped us complete the purchase! A few minutes later, Kilani had the new battery in her arms and asked us to follow her to the car! She got to work with removing my Mom's previous battery! Turns out Kia Soul's are a little complicated, haha! With the screws removed, the battery wouldn't budge! Kilani tested a few things and then asked the store manager for help! He was quick & professional as well and excited help us! He found a tricky panel that needed to be unscrewed and then the battery slid right out #TeamWork ! We thanked him for his help while Kilani put the new battery in! Just a few minutes later, my Mom had her keys in the ignition with the engine rumbling nice & smooth! We were back on the road with confidence! Thank you to Kilani and the rest of the professional team at Autozone on White Stone! We are Grateful for your help & service! Been going here for awhile and haven't had issues until a manger tried to basically tell me im stupid, knew what part i needed and came in for it, about 10x over he continues to ask 'how do you know it's that part' tries to tell me the two parts were the same when they clearly weren't, I've worked on cars for years...im not stupid. Worst Autozone in town. Made the mistake of going there got what I needed from the parts counter and turned to head to the register like I have always had to do only to have the the employee yell out "oh you have to pay for that!" I wasnt heading towards the exit I took one step from the parts counter. Never have I paid there, so I ask do you have a cash drawer here? The low IQ employee says "oh are you paying with cash?" How would you know before accusing me of trying to steal? Autozone is known for having low standards but this location is a clown show. read more

I went in yesterday and was greeted by a very rude lady. I asked her where something was located, she stood there and pointed. Typically, they walk you to the aisle or be sure you find what you need. She was allergic to moving from out behind the counter. Once I came up to the counter to pay, she was sitting in a corner, so I walked toward her. She pointed (yet again) to go back to the other end where she rang me up. She never smiled, she was never polite, and she seemed annoyed that a customer was in the store. Stock and selection of store was great. Came yesterday for a battery and was able to find what I needed quickly. However the young lady who helped me initially was incredibly rude. I wanted to confirm that I was buying the right battery & that seemed to annoy her and she shut down my questions. An older man finally came over and helped and was able to take a look at my battery and the one I needed and helped me quickly & carried it to the car. The lady manager was very unhelpful. I had made sure to ask beforehand if I could return a wrench set if it was unused and unopened and was told yes. The only thing she kept saying was "we don't return tools". And insisting no one should have told me that. Well someone did... so maybe train your employees better? She could have made an exception because they were unopened but had an attitude and was dismissive from the beginning. Now I'm out $50 and stuck with 5 wrenches I don't need. Bummer. read more

Bought another battery from JP at the Autozone at 225 W. Whitestone in Cedar Park. He is my Battery Guy, and I suggest if you need a battery you stop in this Autozone and ask for JP. He goes above and beyond and replaces the battery like it was his own car. Carefully cleans the terminals with a wire brush and treats them with corrosion preventing chemicals. Took the old battery out of my 2014 VW Jetta TDI and installed the new one quickly and proficiently. I HIGHLY recommend he be your Battery Guy too!!! read more

Timothy and his staff were so kind and helped me read the codes my car was throwing. While have a look under the hood to help.with changing an air filter, recognized my coolant reservoir was missing a hose. They promptly went back in to get the right length and help install it, explaining what it does and making sure everything was secured. Very nice clean store. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. They honored a battery warranty though we couldn't locate the receipt. This was because our information was in their system that we purchased a 60 month battery a year ago at the Rancho Cucamonga, CA location. It was dead as a door knob. AutoZone is the only place to buy the [parts I need for my car. I don't need them often but when I do I go here. Of course, they have a plentiful supply of parts. What makes this place special is the staff. They are helpful and knowledgeable. Being a woman, I have had terrible luck when dealing with anything car related. I hate being talked down to by men selling auto stuff. Never had it happen here! They help me find the part, ask who will be doing the work. If I tell them I am doing it, they suggest the best way to do it or point out a tool that will make it easier. Prices are reasonable. read more

I'd run FAR away to the next one down the street by the other new Walmart closer to parmer or the one by 620 or even to Advance down Bell or the new Napa...... but NOT autozone. I could go on and on about how much I love these guys, they really saved me when I was in a jam. My husband was working on my dads truck and returned a fuel pump that was under warranty. Being that he has never replaced one on this truck he did not realize that he had accidentally left a plastic piece in with the pump that actually belonged on the truck. We got home and realized the error 10 minutes after closing. He called them immediately and someone answered the phone, he was a savior! He put the part in a bag outside and we were able to come and pick it up. Not only did he answer the phone after closing but he seriously went above and beyond. When a customer is standing at the counter, me, who had already waited in line to get to the counter, and then you take a phone call and decide to go on a hunt for the caller leaving, me waiting, you make the wrong choice. I stopped in last Sunday to see if they had a headlamp replacement housing for my pickup . They didn't have one in stock but ordered one. Someone from the store called me on Tuesday and said the part had arrived at the store. I went to her the part and it was not the correct part. Not a real big problem, things happen, but then the circus started and it took three (3) different people to locate the correct part, cancel and refund the incorrect part, order the new correct part. This is the first time I stopped at an auto zone to pick up car accessories. The person at the register told me he would help me fit the accessories if they were easy to do. After making me wait for about 20 mins he came to help me. After a 1 minute half hearted attempt he gave up and left me hanging. I wasn't expecting autozone to do this for me for free but would have been delighted if they had. I would have gladly paid a small fee too. Gotta give some props to Auto Zone in Cedar Park. They replaced the battery in my car in the frigid wind and cold and did it cheerfully. There were at least 3 other customers getting new batteries this afternoon as well, and each employee was courteous and helpful even though they were freezing to death. I hate auto parts stores in general because I find that many employees talk down to women. But in this store, I felt like each employee this afternoon (there were four that I saw) were helpful to every customer that came into the store, including me. read more
