Needed a special part for my F150 and no other location had the part except O'Riley's. Will start my search with O'Reilly's in the future.

I was also that guy who no longer needed to wear a timepiece. Fast forward to Spring 2023, and It was time for some home cleaning. I opened up an old box I found in the closet and there were my watches. They truly brought back so many memories when I found them. Each one has a very special meaning from a special period in my life. Over the last month I decided to start wearing my watches again. I took the one that is the most important to me to Batteries Plus, for new life. I was so pleased with the value, friendly service and efficiency that I've taken my other watches in too. Now I wear a timepiece just about every day and I don't have to grab my phone out of my pocket for the time anymore. It really is nice to just turn your wrist over for the time of day. Funny because they asked me to review my service 3 times, on the 3rd time I gave them this horrible review....don't ask over and over if the customer doesn't respond!

I rented a battery for a CPAP machine for camping that ran out of juice in a few short hours leaving my boyfriend to gasp in the middle of the night. When I called for a refund, Steve spent a considerable amount of time defending himself and putting everything in writing in a long email to avoid a losing any $$ instead of a simple compromise. He charged us full pop after he got the battery back, claiming to have tested it. Which no one couldn't verify. It's a shame that he spent all that time quibbling over $130 instead of focusing on any kind of customer service. Not someone I would want to do business with again. If the operate this way, they won't be in business much longer anyway.

So I would not be able to buy backup batteries from Dell. But what might work was an external battery/power source. This is precisely what The Battery Geeks specialize in. Since this computer was so new on Dell, even Dell was not prepared to answer questions as to Voltage, Amps, plug inner and outer diameters. So I was lucky that Steve had the patience and interest to sleuth this out with me. In the end, we were able to determine that Dell had designed an beautiful computer (the XPS 15 Touch - 9350) that was a serious power suck. He had a $300 external battery but it would be sucked of power within an hour ... and I would need 6 of them to cover the 6 hours of extra battery time I needed. Normally, a high capacity computer battery will cover you for 3 hours and cost you ~$150-$175 each. Sadly, the only solution was to return the computer to Dell. But Steve spent an hour being very helpful and informative. He knew I was looking for a reasonable solution so I could keep this computer. He wasn't able to sell me anything (not his fault) but, the almost-customer service was awesome! He knows his battery solutions!

Stranded on Thanksgiving Day, needing a battery replacement. Everything else was closed except…read moreO'Reilly in Cedar Park - even Walmart was closed on Thanksgiving. We arrived to find a salesman of few words. Not rude, just not in the mood for conversation, I guess. We explained the situation, and he asked questions about the car, make, model, and year. Then he says, "The only one we have that fits that car is $290.00 plus a core charge of $29." I had already checked Walmart's prices, not realizing they had finally begun closing on Thanksgiving. The Walmart price for the same size, amp, volt, etc. battery was $179.95. So we paid the price of needing something in a holiday emergency. I expected parts houses to be more expensive than Walmart, but I didn't expect them to be nearly TWICE the price. Anyhow, we said, "Sure, we'll take it." So he rang us up, and we paid. He brought the battery from the stockroom and set it on the counter and mumbled "Thanks," and walked away. I said, "The sign says you install batteries free of charge, is that right?" He kind of grunts, "Yes." Then he went into the back again, and I wasn't sure if he was coming back or not. But after a couple of minutes, he comes back out with tools to change the battery. I am sure he was hoping we would just take the battery and leave. It took him a while to change the battery in dead silence. When he finished, he just turned around and went back into the store. I followed him, however, and when we got inside, I handed him the receipt back and said, "Now, you can refund the core charge." He took the receipt without saying a word, completed the $29.00 refund, and returned the refund and receipt without saying a word. By this time, a lady had come out of the back and was standing behind the counter also. I took the refund slip and looked at her and said "Happy Thanksgiving," to which she kind of smiled but didn't speak. After we got home, I looked at the receipt again and saw that WITHOUT ASKING -WHICH IS AGAINST THE LAW IN TEXAS- an added a $4.00 "Extended warranty" to the bill! It was too much trouble to return for a refund. If it is customer service you wish, along with a battery that is priced almost double the one a mile down the street, and a hidden charge for a worthless warranty you didn't want, this is the place to go! If you're not in a jam on a holiday, then there are many other places to purchase overpriced batteries that offer a much more congenial service experience. The only really good part of this experience was that they were OPEN and we were able to get the replacement and be on our way. But I only live a few miles up the street from this store and I'll be sure to avoid it like the plague in the future.

I mentioned I had bought it roughly 2 years ago and the Auto Zone associate stated it should be under warranty but they didn't carry that brand and advised me to go to O'Reilly, hence, why I was here now. The O'Reilly associate reviewed the logs to see how long ago it was that I actually bought it and to ensure I could get it replaced it under warranty. Unfortunately, they didn't carry this battery either but he double checked my car to make sure the previous employee was being truthful about the state of the battery. After inspecting it, he noted that it was an Advance Auto Parts brand and even called the store for me before he sent me on a fool's errand. Fortunately they were in stock and he informed them he was sending me over to get it replaced. I appreciated the extra mile he went even though I didn't purchase anything! I might have to come here instead next time :) Thank you so much for the great customer service!

I did not think my transaction would take long so, I parked in 15 minute parking near the store. I told the representative that I needed a charging unit for my phone along with a chord. She grabbed the two accessories in less than a minute. The only decision point was the length of the chord - 3 feet or 6 feet. I asked if the 6 feet chord was about my height. She said no taller than your height. Haha...ok you're right I'm 5'6". I paid for the two accessories and was out the store in about 5 minutes. I go out of my way to avoid that store, and alas, still ended up having to go there and suffer excruciatingly poor service from the manager, John. I called Apple to have my wife's Apple Watch serviced (battery). Unfortunately, I was told I couldn't send it in from my home via mail. I would have to go to an Apple store. I was given an appointment at the Domain store on Monday, January 5th at 10:30, and I arrived 30 minutes early. I waited 40 minutes. Eric seemed nice and helpful, but even with me explaining that the watch had already been diagnosed. I just came here to have it sent in. We spent over an hour erasing the watch (my wife's watch, who was not there with me) and upgrading it and syncing it with my phone, just to diagnose the watch to confirm it needed a new battery, which I already knew. After dealing with this torturous experience, it was time to pay for the service so the watch could be sent to my home. I would have loved not to have to set foot in that godforsaken, technology-lethargic hellhole that is Apple Northside Domain. Their card swiper showed errors on 3 attempts. Eric brought over the manager, John, who talked over me when I attempted to explain that my chip sometimes has issues, and I could use my Apple Pay. He didn't listen nor hear me. He told me they would have to change the watches shipping to the store, and I could pay when the watch was shipped back. I did not want to do that, but was left with no other choice based on John's impatient insistence and lack of listening skills. Think about this for a moment: "We are having trouble charging you in store, so come back so we can charge you in store..." I'm frustrated, my kid is tired, and I acquiesced. Alas, before I could even get home, I noticed two "pending" charges from that Apple store. I called John, who continued to talk over me, I told him he wasn't listening, and I cussed. I explained to him my frustration, and all he could think to do was complain and threaten to hang up because I cussed. Mind you, I did not call him a name or curse him, I just cussed, cuz I was pissed and frustrated and because he wasn't listening. Example: "You told me there was no charge on my card, and I get home and see to friggn charges on my card!" Anywho, I told him he's in tech, he's heard worse, and to get past it. He explained I would have to wait for the charges to fall off. I explained, How does that help if I come in to pay, and the same thing happens again with their card machine? Either way, I have been in customer service for over 55 years and a public servant for 33 of those years, and John's approach was not customer-friendly. I get it, I would be overwhelmed and stressed working at a chaotic, shit show like the Apple Store Northside Domain, too, but my experience as a consumer has been consistently dreadful and laborious. John didn't help make it any better. Not even an apology for the miscue, let alone the long wait and poor service. In this case, I have no solution for how to make this experience better, other than I wish I didn't have to pay for the poor service, I wish I didn't have to go back to that store, and I wish Apple could just send my watch to my house. Happy New Year
