Mindy in Service is awesome! Several weeks ago we had some issues with water leaks with all the rain. Turns out that our model has some issues with water leaking around the sun roof and Mindy was sympathetic about our problem. We were able to get the car in late that same day. The next day I received a call from Mindy about the problem and the plan of attack. She also had details about what the extended warranty program was going to cover. She even offered a loaner but since the weekend was coming up we told her that we weren't going to need one but would set up the rental coverage for the following week if the job was going to take more than a few days. Set up the rental agreement on a Monday and got the call Tuesday morning that our car would be ready. Never once had to call her with an update as she was in constant communication with us. I would give NO STARS as an option for Scott Murray if I could. I brought my vehicle in on May 1 for an oil change and asked them to check the front bumper under the driver side light. The bumper seemed to keep popping out. I was told a new clip was needed and Scott Murray warrantied a new part. It took me almost 2 weeks to get a follow-up on when the part would be in. Scott was my advisor and seemed disinterested in providing any type of customer service to me. I called Scott to check he status of the part he stay on the line silent and then hung up. I was never able to get back through to him. The staff behind the service desk were very helpful. They called back and scheduled me. This bring me to today 5/17/21 where I went in for the clip to be replaced. Not once did Scott Murray acknowledge I was there at 8am, but checked my car in after 9am on the app. He also checked my vehicle out as "complete". I went to check my vehicle before I left and the entire bumper around my front tire was now popped out and this was not how I brought my vehicle in. I had to go to the service desk to get one of the ladies to assist me in getting the tech back to take my vehicle back and now fix this new issue. Scott seemed busy talking with another staff lady that was just standing in the corner in his office smiling and conversing. I attempted several times to have a conversation with Scott Murray and he blew me off each time. The last time he stated I been here 20 years and if there is an issue I will handle it. He never would sit and talk to me as a customer, but only as he got up and walked off leaving me standing. He is rude and very unprofessional. Scott Murray seem to pick and choose who he will provide good customer service to. It is unfortunate that just because an employee has been with your company for 20 years that the rudeness and unprofessionalism is just acceptable. Very dissatisfied customer. If I return to Nyle Maxwell for future service I will not be using Scott Murray as my Advisor. A little customer service toward all your customers can go a long way. My wife brought our van that we bought from this dealership in for service for the 1st time. If this is the 1st impression you want to make on your customers, you won't have many after they visit. I took my van in for an oil change and tire rotation. While there, I was told that there was an issue with the lug nuts. I was also told that if I had brought my van in sooner, the dealership would have covered it. This was after the dealership had gotten my okay for the repair. Also, there was no communication as to how much time this would take. Over 2 hours and $76 later I was leaving. This was a horrible experience. Mom went to look and possibly buy a truck. After a few hrs at the dealership she was sold on and purchased a truck. After having it for ONLY 1 MONTH The truck started having problems. She took it in and was charged over $100 for a diagnostic test. They agreed to replace the battery, but refused to fix the brake booster which was supposedly wrong with the truck. She was told that since she had already owned the truck for 1 month she couldn't come back and expect them to fix these problems. She was also told her a/c condenser needed to be replaced and she would have to pay over $1,000. How can such a big dealership give a customer such a hard time!!! My mom is a hard working single mother Who at the time felt like she had made a good purchase. Why after owning it for 1 MONTH would the truck be breaking down??? Scheduled appointment for an oil change took over two hours and fifteen minutes. I received no updates, no explanations, and certainly no apologies. Nothing to make me think that this isn't the way that business is always handled. Sooo have y'all ever heard of Misophonia? Because that basically defines me. I don't hate all noises, but rattling noises, clicking noises, tapping noises and especially people chewing DRIVE ME INSANE. And guess what? My terrain had a rattling noise! I have been complaining to GMC service since I got my car 2 years ago and even went to a few different representatives who basically called me crazy and "couldn't hear what I was hearing". The second time I complained, they did something and it went away for a few days but then came back. I complained again but after being called crazy a few times, you basically give up and just deal with it. I almost blew my speakers because I had to mask the stupid sound somehow. Well, last week I took it to GMC for an oil change and ran into my salesman Marshall and complained to him. He told me to tell the new service guy I was assigned to and he would take care of me. Y'all, Landon is THE BEST. He listened to me whine about the dumb noise and made sure to drive it with me while assuring me I wasn't crazy and that they would take care of it. He texted me everyday and apologized it was taking so long. After 5 days, I came back to a SILENT clean car . Landon went above and beyond by keeping me in the loop, reassuring me and even having my car washed just because he was sorry it took so long. I have never been more satisfied with this car! Huge shout out to Landon for FINALLY making sure the noise went away and to Marshall for helping me get into this car in the first place and making sure the service guys took care of me. read more

My tire had been leaking approximately 3psi daily, so I called the dealership to set an appointment to determine the cause and fix or replace as needed. I spoke to 'Alex' and set an appointment with him. As long as I was making the trip in, I requested an oil change as well. I asked for an approximate time of completion to schedule my day. He advised that it would take between 1 1/2 to 2 hours depending on whether the tire could be patched or replaced. When I arrived Alex wasn't in the office -- it was his day off. That was a bad start, but fine, another adviser began handling my appointment. Two long hours later, I am told they couldn't find a problem with my tire, but they are happy for me to pay for the oil change and leave. After explaining for the third time that the entire purpose of my trip was to have my tire issue resolved, I was given a bunch of excuses and told they would try again to find the leak. Another hour goes by and to no surprise the leak is found and they have determined that they can't fix and will need to replace the tire. And of course, he informs me that we should change the other front tire as they found problems with it (in retrospect, I really should have asked to see that tire, with the lack of competence shown by the service department, I am now suspicious of their integrity.) At this point I really should have just gone somewhere else because multiple people in the waiting room getting frustrated and are being given excuses for their appointments taking hours longer that they were told. As it was going to take several more hours to complete and I would miss a 2:30 appointment, they gave me a loaner to use for the rest of the day. They also gave me a list of recommended maintenance on my 2015 suburban, which I will be taking elsewhere in the future to complete any maintenance or repairs. read more

We finally got a call back stating that they still didn't get to our car. When we asked when they would get to it. They replied "I don't know buddy". What kind of answer is that. I bought a used vehicle from Nyle Maxwell used cars several months ago. 3 days after buying it I started having problems with the security system. The truck would not start until the system was reset. I brought the vehicle back to them immediately and explained the problem and was told that it would be taken care of. I dropped the truck off and they worked on it for several hours and said they were not sure what the problem was, they had never seen this before. A simple internet search shows that this is a common problem in GMC drive train vehicles with there security systems. The problem did not get fixed. So I brought it back and they said it was a problem with the ignition and they would order me a new one and call me. They never called and when I went back I was told because its an import they can not work on it and to bring it to a shop down the road. The other issue that I ran into was yesterday. Driving back from a business trip I had a flat tire. Pulled out my owners manual to find where my jack kit was at to change the tire and it was missing. So I was stuck on the side of the road with no way to get my spear tire down, no way to jack the truck up, no way to get the lug nuts off. I would think that when they did there pre sell inspection that this would be something that they would make sure you had before selling you the vehicle. read more

The maintenance service requested by the manufacturer and your service department are not followed. Thank goodness this is not a purchase and something you all will have to account for at a later date. With that being said, every single time I have to deal with Anthony in the service department he never fully completes a request. When I first leased the vehicle I was never told about the first three oil and tire rotation that are complimentary to the customer. Therefore the first oil change came out of my pocket and the second was free but the tire rotation was NOT done! Why is that? Not only is it a scheduled maintenance that the manufacturer recommends it is a service that was requested by myself and the maintenance schedule. read more

I've bought 2 vehicles from this dealership. The second one came with wheel locks, but did not come with the wheel lock key. I didn't discover this until I had a flat tire, which created a very frustrating situation. The dealer would not remedy the situation by replacing the key or providing a replacement set of wheel locks, instead offering a free oil change. They sold me a vehicle without the ability to change the tires. I won't be purchasing another car here. There are plenty of dealerships that will stand behind the cars they sell. read more

I purchased a pre-owned vehicle about a little over a week ago. When I went in I went with the thought of me just walking out with the same car that I came in with. Brian (new in the department) met me outside and I told him what I was looking for. I test drove a few cars and found a car that I liked and it was mine within no time. Working with Brian and Tony was great and so are all the other team members that work there. I personally only worked with Brian and Tony so I would recommend setting up an appointment with them or just showing up there if you are looking for something used. Argh !! Dealerships !!! They Suck !! So I just got back from Maxwell GMC to have them do the recall repair from the previous visit when they didn't have the part (they told me they have NEVER EVER had to to replace this part on a vehicle). The repair seems to be complete, but there's nothing visible so I have to take their word for it. They also included a "Certified Service multi-point vehicle inspection" sheet that says they checked all sorts of things most owners should already be aware of like tire pressures, fluid levels and such. One of these metrics is tire tread depth. 8/32 or greater being good, 7/32 - 4 /32's being so-so and 3/32's being bad. 7/32 thru 4/32's have their own individual box to be checked for that specific depth. ALL OF MY TIRES WERE CHECKED AT 8/32's OR GREATER. I have been a Facility Engineer for over 20 years and do my own car maintenance so I know my front tires don't have that much tread. Just to make sure, I checked right there at the dealership. Sure enough 5/32's and 6/32's on the fronts. The tech just checked everything off as good which makes me think he never bothered looking at all ! I mentioned this to some boss who walked the tech out there to verify his readings. Sure enough, they were WRONG so he tells me he must have just measured the rear tires and assumed the fronts to be the same. I have only used this dealership once in the 18 years I have lived in RR and wouldn't recommend them to even add air to your tires !! Their PR Manager jumped on my first post the same day I posted, but you just can't manage away shoddy workmanship. I hate Dealerships !! They Suck !! read more

This is worst service I have received from a dealership. One visit after leaving my vehicle over night the dealer had a hard time finding my key so I checked my truck. Keys weren't inside but my truck was unlocked and unsecured with my belongings inside. Next visit I was told my vehicle would be worked on the day I dropped it off because I scheduled the repair 2 weeks earlier to minimize not having my truck. I called 2 days later to check in it and it hadn't been worked on. Was getting worked on 3 days later and the repair was a 1 day job. They didn't respect my time, vehicle or personal belongings. In response to the comment from Nyle Maxwell. It was a manager that set up this poor service so asking for a manager wouldn't help. read more

Wish I could give 0 stars. Below I will paste a letter I sent to Nyle Maxwell and GM: Good morning. My wife drives a 2010 GMC Acadia that had a recall on the seat belts.  She brought the car in for warranty service on the morning of June 11th.  When she dropped the car off, it had ice cold air conditioning with no problems. In fact, the night before, I myself drove the car home from a trip 250 miles away in Texas 95 degree temperatures. AC worked great. When she dropped the car off at Nyle Maxwell, we were appreciative that they gave my wife and kids a ride back home being the car would be there most of the day.  Later that afternoon about 4-5 pm, my wife called to check on the car.  They said it would be the next day before it was ready.  They even offered a rental but we declined as it was no big deal. Early afternoon on June 12th my wife went to pick up her car along with my 4 kids. They were picked up here at our house by the Nyle Maxwell shuttle service. Again, I am grateful they came to get her. I could not take off work. When she got in the car, the first thing she notices was the plastic cover that covers the seat belt assembly that was serviced was laying on the floor. All the metal from the seatbelt mechanism was exposed where one of my children could have gotten hurt. The shuttle driver was helping my wife put it back on as she loaded the kids in the car. My wife says that it is still not on correctly. This is the only simple service we were receiving and it was not even done correctly. My wife and kids are now in the car about to leave. It was 94 degrees on this day. The first thing my wife did was to turn on the air conditioning. It blew hot air. So hot that it was not working at all. The shuttle driver (again, very helpful) even tried to get it working but had no luck. My wife went and got one of the service techs and he said they would look at it. So, my wife and 4 kids got back out of the car.  The tech came out to my wife and said there is a leak in one of the A/C hoses and all the freon leaked out. He said the dye in the freon was showing confirming the leak,  How could that be? When you get a leak, it doesn't all go at once.  The AC would have slowly went out. I know that much. There was no indication we had an AC problem when we dropped it off. They told my wife it would be over $400 to replace the hose and charge the freon.  I was at work and could not come up there, but I told my wife over the phone to let me speak with the tech. I spoke with him and explained how this happened in their care and they need to be liable for  the costs to fix it. Of course, he disagreed. I asked to speak with a manager. (who my wife later told me was just another tech as she was right there). I then talked with the "manager".  In a respectful way, I expressed my frustrations.  The manager told me that he didn't even go under the hood of my vehicle, so they couldn't have punctured the hose. He then instantly recanted and said he was under the hood because they did a 100 point inspection of my vehicle.  I asked him why he did that as we just brought the car in for a seatbelt recall.  He said it is company procedure.    I have a few question about this 100 point inspection. If they did a 100 point inspection, why did they not tell us that my front tires are below Texas State inspection limits? Why did they not tell me my brakes need replaced as I know they are due to be changed? Why did they not tell me my windshield washer fluid level is empty? Why did they tell me I had freon leaking from a hose? The freon leak  supposedly was visible when he looked at my car. Why did they not give my wife a copy of the report of the so called 100 point inspection?  Friday evening when I got home, I looked over the hoses for the air conditioning.  Thought I am not a mechanic, I do know that the hoses were dusty and dry. If you touched them at all, there would have been finger prints on them. If anything was leaking from them, there would have been moist spots or residue. These hoses were dry and dusty and were not leaking and haven't been touched. I strongly believe my freon was drained at Nyle Maxwell. I know this is a horrible accusation, but there is no other explanation .  On the morning of June 13th, after an email of complaint to Nyle Maxwell by my wife, she received a response from a Tom Gammon at Nyle Maxwell. He was offering to give my wife a loaner car if she would drop hers off. I even think he offered to fix the car, but he wasn't to detailed in his email if there would be costs for the service.  My wife asked for someone to show her the leak of the freon dye that doesn't exist, and he said that would have to be next week. I told my wife to not accept their loaner car. I do not trust leaving my car at Nyle Maxwell out of concern of retribution to our complaints and more damage to the vehicle read more

My 87 year old mom hit a curb and blew out two tires. She called Nyle Maxwell in Round Rock because my late father drove their courtesy car a few years ago. It didn't dawn on mom that she was driving a Chevy. It took awhile to get the wrecker out there but the dealership bent over backwards to get her back on the road even though it wasn't one of their cars. read more

I've had a lot of problems with my GMC Envoy (which actually reflects more on the dealership I bought this from then this dealer) and keep having to bring it in to get it fixed. Its a huge pain that they can't give you a loaner car when your vehicle is brought in for service, especially when they can't figure out what the issue is and have it for an extended period of time. Still don't know what the issue is and I can't drop my car off because I need it for work. On top of that there was a recall on my vehicle and when they fixed it they broke something else...once again I have to bring my car in to get it fixed but I can't be without a vehicle. As far as the actual service tech, Denny, he's awesome does a really great job. He actually had to bring me to work a couple of times which I really appreciate! I have been waiting for over 90 days to write this review since it involved a major purchase and wanted to see how it initially held up for 90 days. I can tell you that it was a great purchase and wouldn't have happened without the great service from Jesse R. in their used vehicle dept. If zero stars were an option that's what i would be selecting. My uncle has purchased several vehicles from this dealership, and has been a loyal customer for years! YEARS!!! today he was kicked out of the dealership for not wearing a mask EVEN AFTER explaining he has health restrictions. He was forced to wait outside while they changed his oil... the lack of respect and the lack of customer service that he received today was less than satisfying, and will not be tolerated. You would think that given the fact that he is a loyal customer, who has been kind to everyone he has come into contact with over the years at this dealership; that they would be understanding and accommodating. It's a shame that this has happened. I can assure you they lost a lot of business today. No one from our family will ever purchase anything from this company again. Not even as much as an oil change; guess what folks? There is a jiffy lube at every corner, and i guarantee they'll treat you better. Very wonderful customer service from Chuck and Mario, and I did not feel like I was being taken advantage of. Francisco got me a great interest rate and was able to drive away in my Cube without any problem. The warranty is really what sold me, anything relating to the engine transmission is covered FOR LIFE. Look it up on their website, its called "Maxwell Forever", as long as you get the maintenance done there. You can even get it done somewhere else if you decided to move, and they will honor it. We bought our Yukon XL in 2008 with the goal of driving it for many years to tote our three boys around town. We bought from Maxwell because Scot Murray has been our service advisor at several dealerships over the past fifteen plus years. One of the main reasons we bought from Maxwell was because of our relationship with Scot. He is trustworthy, hardworking, and always makes sure we are well taken care of. Maxwell made it easy to purchase our SUV and their service has been great! I took the truck in this morning for service and they had it ready by lunchtime, even with an unexpected part failure they found when running the basic diagnostics. Many thanks to Lori in the service department. While my father was in the hospital, I noticed that my engine light was on. We got it in to the service department and they quickly got it fixed. Unfortunately due to jobs and being at the hospital, we were having trouble getting over to pick it up. Lori volunteered to have someone come pick me up from the hospital so I could get my Suburban back. She was so caring at a time when I really needed it and came through for us. Sadly, I dont remember who picked me up as I was pretty distraught, but he understood and let me have that time to process. I was in and out the door in just a few minutes and back at the hospital in very minimal time. I can't thank them enough for helping us at a time when we really needed it. THANK YOU!!! read more

Took my truck in a few years ago to have the transmission serviced. They replaced the torque converter and it appeared to be fixed. A few years later the same issues are occurring and I take it to another dealer who determines that Maxwell damaged the replacement trans filter during installation. Maxwell's service manager Rick Wheeler's opinion was something should have happened while it was under warranty otherwise they couldn't care less. This would be the 2nd time I've had issues with Maxwell's service department and shoddy workmanship. Tom Gammon, the general manager who responded below, indicated that they would be willing to correct the issue at no cost to me and basically strung me along for a week and then ultimately declined to cover their mistake. They authorized the other dealer to fix the issue and then declined to cover it thereby holding my vehicle under ransom until I had to pay for their mistake.
