Came here after being dissed at Pink Polish. Small and not fancy but exceptionally nice people and the prices are amazing. Got a MATCHING gel mani/regular pedi! This spot is a hidden gem and I'll definitely be a regular. read more

NY Nails Spa - Done 11/9/17. Very nice job on baby nails that hadn't been cared for in months. Super pleased. - Nail Salons Near Me - Tempe, Arizona

Cici was extremely sweet and careful with my acrylic nail application. I went right when it opened so there was no rush, it was very chill. I'll be going back! read more

Been going here for over 10 years and love it! Cici is incredibly talented for gel designs and Tuan is fantastic for dip powder!!

I don't always get pedicures, but when I do.. it is because I don't want to touch that flawed piece of human extremity myself. Thinking of the foot as a degenerate hand with piglets for fingers all crammed up on top like Bert's (Sesame Street reference) hairdo, doesn't appeal to me in the least. So if I can pay someone else to do it - so be it. The problem is, that I am very ticklish when it comes to my toesy-woesies. Coming in was like any other place, but without the overwhelming acetone smell and bad attitude. It was pleasant to just walk in, get seated right away and taken care of. Something I appreciate. Standard chairs with foot bath in the end, nice enough. But what makes this place a place I will return to, from a guys perspective... they didn't skimp out on the massage part. You know that feeling when they rush and just half-ass the effort... yeah, none of that. I sat there and had conversation while getting a really nice massage of feet and lower legs. This is what I pay for.. so this will be my go to place for pedis. read more

This is fast becoming a place that I am liking. This is my 2nd time here now. I just might go back again on Saturday, right before I leave town again so I have good toes and feet. Why only 4 stars, well it is not the cleanest place, but then again it is not the dirtiest either. The girl that has helped me both times has not ever given me her card. Nor do I know her name. But, she has done a great job on my nails. Usually my manicure only lasts about 2 days before it chips. As I am a working class person and work with my hands. But, her mani lasted 4 days the first time and 5 days the 2nd, This is really good believe me. Plus, my toes still look fabulous. Lots of parking in the lot, right by Whole Foods. Not too high priced either. read more

Came in today for a full set and a gel pedicure. I highly recommend them. Super clean and so nice. I had a simple design I wanted to do and they accommodated me extremely well! Really happy to find this place bevause I recently left a salon I had been consistently going to because of poor service, unfortunately. Just saying if you're looking for a salon that is clean and professional then you'll like NY nails :) read more

Don't get the dip for your nails. I went last week. Worst I've ever had. They used the heating element that's used for gel nails. My nails felt like they had rubber on them. The top coat came off after 2 days. I highly recommend not wasting your money there. read more

Decent pedicure but my tech seemed a bit distracted. I did the Deep Sea spa treatment which includes hot stones, sugar scrub and massage. The massage was ok but not spectacular. I expected more for the price. I'll definitely go back because it's a convenient location. read more

I have been going to this place for about 5 years now and the service is always great. The quality of the work is amazing and they are always friendly. I took my mom there for Mother's Day and one of the nail techs misunderstood and painted her nails with regular polish instead of gel and although he was nearly done when we realized the mistake, he was happy to start all over again. A few minutes later one of the other nail techs who spoke a bit better English came over and apologized for the misunderstanding. This speaks volumes to me as they truly strive to make you happy. I have had some issues with them in regards to the gel polish cracking within a few days but once I go back they are happy to re-do my nails without any problems and of course free of charge. I love this place! read more

See all

Walked In at 5 they close at 7 The guy who did my nails barely said a word to me I asked him how his day was - said not good because it was a long day. I told him I'm sorry because I felt like it might be me but they close at 7 it's not like I walked in at 6:40. Just trying to be polite and didn't get anything back I work with customers all day long as well sometimes for a long period of time so I get the struggle but you should at least be friendly? So I asked how much a fill and chrome would be he said $30 for fill and $10 for chrome I then asked even on these two fingers (I meant each hand) he said $2 but when I went to pay he said $34 total - asked why he said 4 fingers will be $4. I mean seriously? What person says only two fingers and not match the other hand? He could have told me $1 a finger or something to clarify what I will be charged for! Charging extra for something so small like that and not saying anything when you do the other hand? I'm tired of these places nickel and dimming and on top of it the nails are like bubbly it's not even smooth. And the polish has streaks in it. And it looks like he didn't even paint all the way down so it will literally look old in like a couple days to a week That's why I think I'm even more upset with the stupid $2 extra. I can afford it just the bad experience made me want to write a review. Oh and on top of it I tipped him more than 20% because I felt bad but now looking in better light I regret how much I paid and going there. read more

NY Nails Spa - Nails by Cece - Nail Salons Near Me - Tempe, Arizona

The girl I went to before was starting to get too busy, so I decided to try out a new place. Normally I'm very wary of these hole in the wall nail salons, but NY Nails had decent reviews. I went for an acrylic fill with regular polish, which was $18. The guy who did my nails was extremely detailed in making them natural-looking. He also went back and redid a nail that I noticed was too thin, so kudos for that. The downside was he left some acrylic on my skin and smeared polish under my nails. For the price, this place is good. read more

I googled this place and first one that came up. Me and my mom were in town for a birthday party and needed to get pedicures. Went to this place, greeted right when we came in. Waited 10mins and they did an amazing job. Very Happy with the Service and my mom Loved it. Will go again if in town even if it is an hour away. The staff was professional and talkative. Enjoyed it and very happy with the prices and service. read more

Nails look good but awful service! I went to NY Nails for a pedi and a mani. I paid $35 for both, no salt scrub but I did upgrade to a french manicure. The massage on the legs and feet were painful, Way too much pressure, I'm surprised he didn't notice I was almost in tears from the pain and there was no massage on the hands. By the time I left I had 3 different nail techs work on me. I though that was weird and rude. They just passed me off to the next tech when one had to leave and I got there 1 hour before closing. When it was time to pay I had a gift certificate which I didn't realize had expired a few month earlier. NY nails is a family owned salon and they refused to take the gift certificate even though they could have but they are too selfish and by not honoring it I will never go there again. I even gave them a 20% tip and the service was awful and they made me feel unimportant as a customer. As for the nails, they do look good, the polish hasn't chipped much in the 5 days I've had them done but this place is not worth the bad service and cost. read more

Went in to get a pedicure on Tuesday, December 23rd with a friend. I had heard good things about this place and decided to give it a try. We had appointments at 6 but weren't taken back till around 6:15. The water was cold so it already didn't start out well. I wear shellac on my toes and I told my tech not to remove it. She still tried (she thought it was regular polish). So I told her it was shellac but she didn't have to remove it, so she went over and grabbed a drill. I had to tell the guy working next to us to tell her she didn't have to remove it. All I really wanted was a massage and the callus remover. The massage was horrible. It felt like she was digging her nail into the middle of my foot. I'm still having pain from it. She didn't massage my heels at all. It was very quick. The only thing that was good was the callus remover but I can do the same thing at home. read more

I haven been coming here for years now and I love it! Very shocked to see bad reviews. A bit more expensive than the west side but never been knocked or cut they open their utensils from being disinfected. No complaints! read more

Discriminatory Management... A Simple None Comunicitionary skin condition and the management is refusing service.

I'm giving two stars because they lied to me. I was a walk in but I had actually called before hand to ask about availability and if they do gel fills. They said yes so I went. My nails were only a month old so I needed a fill. But they said I couldn't. Since I couldn't get a gel fill for my nails (even though they offer it, as seen in picture of the menu from Google maps) I was forced to get a whole new set. I was already there and that was my last stop for the day, so I went ahead with it. The menu, seen in pictures, is a recent picture and states $30 for a new gel set. However, I was charged $40. Although the technician was great and I love my nails, the fact that I can't trust them to give me the actual price ruins it for me or even explain to me why there was an up charge. I did comment that that wasn't the price stated online, but the technician just apologized. Its sad because I can tell the salon boss, who just sits in the front and watched the technicians, was the one telling her the price when I asked how much. Great talent not so great management. I won't be going there again! read more

NY Nails Spa - Menu - Nail Salons Near Me - Tempe, Arizona

First time I came here, an older gentleman did my nails and they did not turn out how I asked. Another girl had to come over and fix what he started. I went back to give it another try and got the same guy.. I was hesitant, but thought I should give it one more chance. BAD IDEA! I have had tons of manicures and this was by far the worst. No massage, filed my nails too short, and charged me more than the manicure itself for gel. I tried to be nice and confront him and he did not care one bit. Sadly will not be returning here. read more

Stopped in when I broke a nail and my regular place was closed already. Great repair, great conversation and it was done very quickly. If my regular place is ever closed again I will certainly visit NY Nails again. read more

NY Nails Spa - Two weeks later they still look amazing. - Nail Salons Near Me - Tempe, Arizona

I got my nails done here and everything was fine. The next day my white gel set (I ALWAYS GET WHITE) became a weird discolored orange on the tips. I've never had this happen before so I called and made sure I could come back to get it fixed with a new color and they said it was okay. So I come in on a Saturday like discussed and they were busy, which I totally understand, so I asked them when I should come back and they said 30 minutes. Okay cool I waited and came back and they wanted to to wait again. I just wanted my gross nails fixed. They were incredibly rude and it's not like I didn't pay $50 for my nails a few days earlier. I always get white nails and have never had them discolor. I can't even describe how rude these people were. Don't come here if you're looking for good customer service they suck. read more

Such an amazing place! I started going here about a year ago and refuse to go anywhere else. I started off by getting acrylics done and later switched over to the SnS dipping powder and so glad I did. My nails stay amazingly strong and healthy. Being a server and constantly washing my hands 20+ times a day my nails still last me a month, which is amazing. My nail guy Tuan never fails to treat me with perfect customer service and always takes his time to make sure he's customizing his technique to meet my needs for he knows how harsh I am on my nails. Definitely recommend and do not hesitate to make an appointment or go in. read more

I was just in today with my sister. They are wonderful, it was wonderful service as well. I love the pedicure we both got today. It was seriously amazing. I will be returning in the next few weeks to get another pedicure. read more

This was an awful experience. Staff isn't not friendly by any means, cut my skin, and over charged for a simple pedicure. Go somewhere else, this isn't worth it. read more

Place is very nice and so are the nail techs, went there for for the first time about 2 weeks ago since then I've gone back 4 times for nail repairs, prices are good $35 for a new set, but adding 4 repairs at $5 plus tips and time spent is no fun. Glad my nail shop is open took off their fragile set off and started fresh. Pedicures are great! read more

I asked for a 50.00 VIP pedicure and after they began taking off my polish I was told it would be 10 dollar additional charge for the take off unless I chose gel again. I told them to finish the take off and that I would get my pedicure elsewhere. I hate the cheap haggling especially after I chose the most expensive pedi on the menu. There are a million other nail salons in town who won't nickel and dime. read more

This was the best gel manicure with nail art I've ever gotten. They were super friendly, and rather than try to get me out as fast as possible, they took the time to thoroughly trim my cuticles and shape/buff my nails. They also did a great job with the nail designs I wanted. I'm super impressed and will be going here from now on. read more

NY Nails Spa - Amazing nail art/gel manicure they did for me - Nail Salons Near Me - Tempe, Arizona

I'm a big mani/pedi girl and absolutely adore NY Nails. It's reasonably priced (about $28 for a manicure and pedicure) and the staff is friendly. The best part is the massage. Unlike most places, you'll get a good 10 minute massage when you get a pedicure and if you're a working girl -- or even guy who likes to keep his feet clean and isn't afraid of a little touch up from time to time! -- you're sure to enjoy it here. read more

Very hit and miss. The place looks very nice and generally seems clean with good hygiene. But if you don't get the right person you could get some pretty terrible service. One young (middle age) male in particular will make you feel like you are such a bother for having shown up and asking him to do his job today. The older gentleman doesn't do super quality work and doesn't appear to be interested in your feedback either. That said, there are a few of the younger ladies that do some of the most amazing work I've ever seen. If you catch their names and make an appointment you'll be in good hands. I'm not a manicure/pedicure appointment kind of gal, however, so this is not the place for me. I've been here many times. I really wanted to love it. It's close to my house. It's in a nice location right next to a Starbucks. But alas, it's time for me to move on. Perhaps you'll have better luck. read more

No! No! I went today to get a quick polish change after my wax appointment next door because I had a bit of time to kill and my current polish was pretty worn. When I walked in I was greeted nicely by an older woman doing a pedicure but that's where the niceties end. I got a bit of an attitude when I said I only wanted a polish change (apparently not getting a full Mani is frowned upon here) and when I sat down with one of the guy nail techs he grabbed acetone to remove my REGULAR polish (& dry out my cuticles) and immediately clipped my nails (without me asking him to). But what APPALLED me was when he reached for a nail file to quickly file my nails...FROM THE BASKET BY ANOTHER WORKER DOING A PEDICURE!! PEDICURE!! Right in my face! A USED emory board from the woman currently getting a pedi. Gross!! I asked him, "is that used, and you're going to use it on me?" After he huffed he went out of my sight to get a "new" emory board and continued my nails. He sloppily did my polish and when I asked him to "clean up" the edges he used his fingernail to clear one nail and went on his way to a more important customer. Overall, I didn't feel that hygiene was a priority nor my business and satisfaction with my nails. No thank you. I will not return to this location. read more

I've been in every 2-3 weeks for a mani-pedi regular nail polish for a bout a year. At times there's a wait but usually not too long. Everyone there has worked on me and the service is great. The prices are not bad but I really wish they'd stock up on more polish. Some seem to run a little dry. I usually do a design or gem not everyone there does it but there is always someone there who can. They're polite and prices are good. read more

They do great work, but damn - I would love to know what to expect every time I go in there for a fill. I'm sick of the upselling. Plus not every time I go there do I need to get a new set of acrylics. The staff is very nice, and the place is moderately clean (minus dust on fixtures). read more

I'm in the area from Florida on business and desperately needed to get a gel manicure, as well as my eye brows waxed. I called to see if walk-ins were accepted, and I was told to come on in right then. I had a couple of broken nails and there was extra care taken into gluing and filing them smooth. My nails look great now and I'm really happy with them. I also asked for an eyebrow wax and I am not sure they've ever looked better! On top of that, everyone was friendly and the prices were really reasonable. If I ever find myself in the area again, I would go back! read more

I had been here a few times only because it's in the neighborhood and convenient and it was ok. Nothing great. Today I went for the LAST time. Walked in around 3:30 to get a pedicure. They set me up and had me soaking for 30 minutes never to tell me I was going to have to wait that long to even get started. Another lady walks in which they told her she would have to wait about 20 minutes. So why tell her and not me? Then as I'm getting my pedicure, once it finally started, she asked me which one I would like. I told her number 2 and held up 2 fingers. It wasn't until my first leg was lotioned that I was wondering where my sugar scrub was. Well she decided to not give me what I asked for as well as hurt parts of my toe that I told her hurt when she touched the way she was and she laughed? Awful communication and customer service. Do not recommend. Pink polish is a lot better and worth a bit of a drive. read more
