Floating floor was screwed in to place

Floor improperly installed NV Kitchen installed vinyl plank flooring as part of the kitchen renovation. After 14 months, the flooring started to chip on some of the edges. NV Kitchen said their work had a 12 month warranty. I contacted the floor manufacturer who had an independent inspector examine the floor. The floor should have been a 'free floating' installation, not nailed down and not placed under the cabinets. The floor was nailed and/or screwed in place and installed under the cabinets-it was not installed correctly. I have contacted NV Kitchen and they have ignored my complaint.

Bar - Final Product

We worked with April Hopkins last year to finalize a design for a basement bar (see image of original rendering) she did an amazing job on making sure our plans came to fruition (see image of final product). While she had left the company later in the year, other program managers picked up the project where she left off. While it took a little longer then we would have liked since we faced supply chain issues (not the fault of NV since this was a challenge across the industry), the end product up was exactly how we visioned it. Please note, NV Kitchen and Bath were very accommodating and worked through all our punch list items. We really appreciate how responsive the leadership team was to any issues that arised. Recommend working with them on your next remodel!

They quickly assessed our situation, explained the required repairs, and worked with us to choose materials that would complement the existing out of production tile. In addition to repairing the water damage and restoring the look of the shower, they repaired the drywall behind the shower wall, painted, and installed a ceiling fan. The work was performed quickly, and they did a good job. We are pleased with the results. I was especially pleased that they were able to use the existing glass enclosure and sized the step into the shower to match.

We highly recommend using NV Kitchen & Bath for your next home renovation! Edgar (in the showroom) was eager to help us find the style we were looking for and he did not disappoint ! Oz, the project manager, went above and beyond, along with his team. He was incredibly responsive whenever we had a question. The entire process was pleasant and efficient. We are so glad we chose to work with this company as it was an incredibly positive and enjoyable experience from start to finish!

Potomac Kitchen & Bath completed a large project that consisted of the kitchen, master bathroom,…read moreguest bathroom, and powder (half bathroom). When brainstorming the kitchen and bathrooms, the staff were very helpful with picking out the types of cabinets, counter, flooring, toilets, and hardware. They did a fabulous job with the demolition of the old stuff and the installation of the new cabinets, lighting, floors, toilets, and hardware. The project manager and staff were wonderful with communicating with me and keeping me up to date. I'm grateful to have found Potomac Kitchen & Bath via Angi. I highly recommend them and wish they could do my kitchen in Pennsylvania.

When we first contacted Mustafa, he was helpful in getting us an estimate and renderings of the proposed kitchen. He answered all our questions, the price was reasonable, and the project started as scheduled, which we appreciated in a time when so many things were back ordered. Harb, our project manager, was just okay. In my mind two of the most important qualities of a PM are communication and quality oversight. Harb's communication was acceptable most of the time but I felt that he really lacked the capacity for proper oversight and ensuring that the quality of the work was acceptable. We often had to point things out to him that he should have seen (e.g. fridge off balance, big noticeable seams in the crown molding, cabinet doors that banged into walls, etc). He was rarely on site and when he was here it was for less than 5 minutes to collect a check. Ultimately what really left a bad taste in our mouth was when one of the cabinet fronts (on the garbage can slider) broke after only a week or two of normal use. We contacted Mustafa/Harb who sent someone to "fix" it and his solution was to add a Velcro sticker to the cabinet instead of actually properly securing the sliding drawer with screws and hardware. Needless to say the cabinet broke immediately and when I contacted the company again they completely ghosted us. Never returned phone calls, emails, or text messages. I think if Potomac had come and properly fixed the cabinet, or at the very least returned our messages, I would have given them a 3.5 star review but this issue really left us upset and worried about the overall quality of the project. We won't be recommending this company to friends or neighbors.

I am very happy to provide this review for Savena Doychinov, principal designer of Design Studio…read moreInternational, LLC, which hopefully conveys the positive experience I had. Savena redesigned my entire one-bedroom apartment at a luxury hi-rise condominium in Arlington, Va. When I walk in the front door, I am struck each time by the incredible beauty she helped me create. The design's transition from room to room flows easily, and I could not be happier with the result. From the beginning, Savena emphasized the importance of planning and impressed upon me how a beautiful result can only result from a meticulous plan that is well-executed. Based upon my renovation experience, I have discovered that this principle is totally true. Given the opportunity, she can transform a living space for you, just as she did for me. Savena works in a collaborative way so that the final result really feels like an expression of her client's taste and aesthetic. My newly remade apartment is completely me. I am very proud of it and feel great when I walk in the front door. Another of Savena's key attributes is that she is passionate about designing, She deeply cares about her clients, and she is devoted to delivering both a beautiful and functional renovation. She gives generously of herself throughout the process because she wants the very best for her clients. In addition, her knowledge of construction and all the technical aspects of renovation is amazing. There are so many choices to make throughout the process, in terms of selecting equipment (appliances, plumbing products, tile, wood, paint, lighting, cabinets) and the way in which the elements need to be installed. I am deeply grateful that Savena was by my side to help navigate the many technical decisions that must be made, while at the same time ensuring a good fit both aesthetically and functionally. Her husband and partner, Dimitri Doychinov, as a project manager, supervises and ensures the quality of their installations. Unfortunately, when I began my process, Dimitri was not available, so I chose another installer. If I were to do it again, I would have waited for Dimitri. The contractor I hired to follow Savena's design, turned out to be terrible and made mind boggling mistakes. The only good news was that Savena saved my renovation by finding his mistakes before it was too late to make the modifications required. I happily terminated the first installer and hired Dimitri to redo substantial portions of the work and complete what had not been done. I truly wish I had used Dimitri from the beginning as it would have saved me a lot of time and aggravation. I shudder to think what I would have done had Savena not discovered the installation problems. Savena really knows her stuff, and you can put her up against even the most top notch installer, and it is more likely than not that she either knows more or is equally knowledgeable. It is incredibly important to have a designer with this kind of expertise because a beautiful plan that is not properly installed or executed will be mediocre at best. I have high expectations, and I want them met. Based upon my personal experience, I am confident that Savena and Dimitri can deliver that result. If these attributes alone are not enough, let me add one final thought. Savena looks at space and can see possibilities that are not obvious to the untrained eye of the average homeowner. I loved the way she helped me think outside the box when evaluating choices for the space. She helped me learn to be solution-oriented when both choosing and executing the design, since every space has its own inherent limitations. This ability helps get the most out of the space. She vets all the possibilities, so in the end, there are no regrets, and no stone is left unturned. So, if you are searching for a seamless look that flows and reflects your individuality and if you want high quality results, Savena is an excellent choice for your designer. I am grateful for all of her guidance, expertise, and caring about my space. I also saw several other projects completed by Savena and Dimitri, and they were all stunning in their own right. Different styles, different materials, different taste, but each was very beautiful and functional. For all of these reasons, Savena and Dimitri Doychinov have earned my highest recommendation and my deepest gratitude.

We used KDC to renovate our Kitchen, Master Bathroom, and fix some other issues around the house that involved tiling, plumbing, drywall, etc. We first started with KDC on the kitchen, where we had them install all new countertops, and replace our cabinets, basically a whole kitchen renovation. They handled everything and had people for plumbing, tiling, painting, electrical. Everything was handled for us with minimal involvement other than picking out materials. It was one of the easiest experiences where we picked out what we wanted in their showroom and had their project manager coming to the house to review progress on a consistent basis. With how smoothly the kitchen went, we had KDC fix our guest bathroom where things went just as smooth, and then do a whole renovation of the master bathroom. Similarly, we picked out all of the materials in their showroom and the results were amazing. The quality and craftsmanship is very detailed, with new cabinets, tiling, moving different fixtures to new locations, and installation of everything flawlessly. They even alerted us to a cheaper countertop option that still met our needs. All in all, it seems like KDC worked on half the house and did some in a timely and expert way. We've recommended them to friends and happy to do so for others. It was refreshing trusting someone to do a great job with minimal supervision and we're thrilled with the results.

I found them here on Yelp and I obtained 3 quotes for the job. I had the quotes reviewed by an independent contractor who told me L&R's quote was what the job should reasonably cost. I called 4 references who all had a similar and very positive experience. Lawrence always communicated with me about schedule which had not been the case with other contractors. They were there working on my job every day, not showing up once or twice a week like some others. Any fluctuation to schedule or budget was discussed and agreed upon by both parties. We had a couple of unexpected plumbing delays but that was due to the original build not being up to the current code. I changed direction on a couple of design decisions and Lawrence was right there with me. The work was exceptional and the end product is amazing. I have had the nightmare contractor experience so was very cautious. This was exactly as the process should be and I plan to have them back in the fall to do more work. I give them my highest recommendation!

And everything you see in these photos, we had to point out to them! I guess they hoped we just wouldn't notice or would take care of these things ourselves. This project began in Oct with the goal of being done by Thanksgiving. Today is Jan 5th and we're still waiting for some of these problems to be resolved. Our calls and correspondence are often met with silence or being told that the person we are trying to reach is out of the country. In desperation, I even called the cabinet manufacturer to find possible solutions to the unstable island. MK&B responded with an ultimatum that we choose their waterfall quartz counter design or we would be charged $4000 for our desired cabinet material support panel alternative. Even as we wait for them to complete our kitchen job, we receive their marketing emails. The only thing they have been prompt about is requesting payment. If you hire them, expect plenty of change orders and accept that you are paying more for the very items you may find on Amazon or at the big box stores. As for whether that added expense is worth it, based on our experience we would say absolutely not! Save yourself some money and headaches, and take your business some place else!
