Went with my girl here for first time and its better then vitamin shop and gnc by far! Jack the owner knows what hes talking about and gives great advice. He gave my girl and i a meal plan usually you would pay for that at gyms. Explained what is some good protein to take and times to take it. Place is clean and well up to date with the products they have. Only thing that sucks is the parking but that will be over when the construction is done. She was so super knowledgeable, answered all of my questions and gave me great tips. Very friendly. Normally i used to go to gnc or max muscle walnut creek but i was referred here by a friend. Great store. I walked in looking to pick up so weight lost suppliments, i think it was the owner who helped me out. I told him what i was told to try and he agreed and told me what each suppliment is meant for. Unlike other stores he was very informative and told me the do's and donts with dieting and workout. I walked out the store with thermovex, bcaas, and protein. Feel so much better and my workout has never been better. Later on i came back and picked up metabolic spike to add to my stack and im only getting better. I'm new to the Bay Area and was having difficulty finding a nutrition place to shop at. As soon as I walked into this nutrishop I knew that it would be the place to go. The staff is always so friendly and very knowledgeable. All the staff know a lot about health and nutrition. They ask questions just to make sure that they sell you the best product. First of all, I'm not the kind to be writing reviews which has to change. To give you a back story so it isn't "sketchy/weird" our group of friends decided to do a fitness challenge to help better ourself (pool side seatings). All of us live in different parts of the Bay Area so decided to look for the ones nearest to each individual. No one here in San Jose had an issue getting their BMI taken even though it was first time or they've gone to that location plenty of times. One of my good friends decides to go here at Pleasant Hill location and calls me telling me about how bad of an experience she had recently had- not just about $25 service charge she had been requested but how arrogant/ non professional the guy Jack Levy had talked to her...25 bucks? Not an issue just the fact that a young lady trying to better herself not feeling comfortable going in bc of such a horrible customer service. Another friend living closer to the Brentwood location, so before sending her over decide to just call and see if she will also have to pay 25 for her bmi (bc I had told her it was free) and decide to call that location and she affirms its also 25, (not an issue again) but she decides to call jack and say I was asking weird questions for example 1 of there is a service fee 2 why some charge and other do not anyway... jack the calls me to see if there was any issue and asking that the Rep from his other store called him saying I was asking weird questions...if any of you agree these are weird questions feel free to let me know....for what my 2 cents is worth if I want my business to work, having great customer service and making people feel welcomed will result in people/ clients coming back and OBVIOUSLY buying my product (supplements, etc) therefore making way more than the stupid 25 dollar service charge. My group of six girls will now make a 30 mile drive to a location where they feel appreciated and valued as a customer. read more
