I've been living next to this spot, recently got management change , Must say I was totally surprised about the style of food Chicken was juicy and very flavourful ,hot and warm The Hawaiian bread definitely compliments the chicken Everything was seasoned perfectly The sauces I tried were their nug sauce, medium, and jalapeño honey All of the sauces were nice and really changed things up with the chicken It's a definite must if you're in the area much love from one chef to the other Keep up the hard work

Nugtown is an excellent spot!!!!! The food is fantastic, and the prices are super reasonable. The sliders are my go to, and the variety of sauces is a major plus.

The customer service is top tier! I went one night and had such a great experience I brought a friend and came back the following night. They are opened late, they have a cool little vibe with the music and the seating area is clean. My food was fresh and hot and the owner is very friendly. The pies are homemade and I can truly say this is a Los Angeles gem this lemonade is so fire no lie.

Nugtown is an iconic little food stall and I cannot recommend it enough. I came here with OTM and got the vegan (cauliflower) nuggets and they were delicious. Freshly fried piping hot nugs, a mind bogglingly crispy batter, melt in your mouth tender cauliflower, and sauces that were out of this world. The medium was tangy and slightly spicy, the honey mustard was a classic flavor, and the jalapeño honey was basically honey with this kick of jalapeño. I truly cannot pick a favorite. Also everyone there was super friendly! Vegan Nugs 10/10

Skip the drive through and head to a street corner to get some fantastic freshly fried goodies from Nugtown! They pop-up on Thursday-Sunday starting at 3pm on the northwest corner of Sycamore and Fountain in Hollywood. I parked on the street less than a block away, walked with my dog to their spacious tented spot, and ordered some essentials: chicken nuggets, vegan nuggets (fried cauliflower), and waffle fries. My first real true love was the chicken nugget, and Nugtown more than satisfies my chicky nugg desires! They really know how to perfectly fry - they use just the right amount of batter on the nuggs and it doesn't separate from the chicken/cauliflower when frying, and everything turns out super crispy and crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. Whatever seasoning they use is great and not overpowering, and their dipping sauces (I tried their mild and medium) are unique as they're on the liquidy side and have a smoothly tangy and peppery tomato taste. It was all sooooo yummy, and I used every last drop of the sauces. Next time, I'll have to add extra sauces to my order, and I really want to try their fried pickles too. I love that Nugtown is here in LA and that they're a small business. The guy who took my order was real chill and nice, and he was also the one who cooked up my food and bagged it - quite the multi-talented multi-tasker keeping this small business going! Since they're a pop-up operation, I suggest checking their Instagram before you go (@nugtownla) just in case they had to change their schedule or sold out of nuggs early.

Amazing! Super crispy, flavorful, deep fried, not greasy deliciousness. Whenever and where you find this dope pop up hit it up! Owner is super friendly and nice, food is awesome and comes out quick! The spicy sauce is really good but if you're not into spicy they have normal sauces for weens. Lol jk I discovered this place at Glendale tap but I believe he goes to different spots though. Also there are vegan nug options they're made if cauliflower and my friend who eat meat says they're just as good as the chicken !

Real great food. Vegan and chicken options which was cool. Fried pickles were bomb. Friendly service, I definitely recommend.

Delicious, succulent perfect nuggets. I've never had anything like it in my whole life. The mild sauce was amazing. I usually love aïoli but this had no cream it was more of a sweet-and-sour but it was amazing. The owner told us that he makes everything himself and the battery doesn't have any butter milk therefore it's lighter than your usual breading. That's totally true and I can't even describe the perfection that is this nugget. You've got to try it for yourself!

We always get the Bulgogi Fries (Fries with Cheese, Spicy Mayo, Jalapenos, a creamy salsa, onions, and LOTS of sweet bulgogi), and the Honey Garlic Wings. Also definitely recommend the original marinade or even plain (anything but boring). Seating is plentiful. Lunchtime is never too busy, which really surprised me. I love that they give us gloves. Alcohol is served too, so I think I'm gonna have to come back for a 회식 with my workplace.

I've eaten from there before. It's well cooked, juicy, with a good crunch, and light flavor. If you're gluten-free, like myself, you can only have two different sauces, and of course you have to pay for those separate. Not a fault, just an observation. Having any Sauce at all, is awesome... My complaint and withholding of a star is that The Only individual sized portions you can get is a chicken sandwich (I'm one of those dreaded * duh..duh..dunnnnn,* "Gluten-Free" peeps. After that the next size is half a chicken (to much for me to eat in a sitting.) and it Doesn't come with any sauces or sides. I'm not saying that's it's a bad price, for the amount and quality... It's absolutely fair. But an individual option, be it wings, tenders, something easy like that. Something comparable to the chicken sandwich, would be really appreciated. That's Star worthy to me. To add insult to a sour moment, I had to pay for parking... for only 3 to 4 minutes. While not truly a fault of the restaurant, it is a part of the experience, and should be noted. Lest others find themselves in a similar situation. And a final note. The manager was never anything but courteous and professional. He put up with my braty hangry behavior like a champ.

This place has certainly changed since I last visited. Here's the general flow of things:…read more 1) Wait to be seated by the owner (may take some time if he is busy cooking, you'll have to wait for him as he doesn't have any other staff) 2) Once he points you to a table, have a seat (if there are leftover dirty dishes from the previous party that haven't been cleared, that's normal; hopefully he comes to move them out of the way quickly for you and gives the table a wipe-down) 3) Speak your order clearly (don't expect the owner to give you much acknowledgement once he has your order, he might just nod and walk away). If you want a soda, it's self-service. The vibe of the restaurant is just OK; you have a lot of people looking around (either at their tables or at the door for take-out) either wondering what to do or where the owner is so they can be helped. Lot of TVs on with kpop MVs or sports playing (but no volume); nothing special there. 4) Chicken should only take about 20-30 min, he'll bring it out soon enough and it'll be hot from the kitchen. The fruit is a little...different, but kind of works with the dish and cuts through the grease a bit. Unfortunately, no radish like your usual Korean fried-chicken place would offer. 5) After you've finished eating, wait for him to come over and assist you with the check (again, you'll have to wait till he's done with other tasks so he can help you in-between his workload) The chicken used to be worth the wait, and the owner used to have a little more courtesy for his customers. After my most recent visit, I can no longer say so. The chicken comes out faster but is no longer as crispy, and the sauce isn't doing it any favors anymore. And the owner's attitude made our whole visit unenjoyable; gave off the feeling like he felt he was doing us a favor by letting us eat there, and seemed annoyed at any questions we asked (and then was very unavailable most of the time). I understand he does this alone, and he has more tables now than when I last was here (4-6 now instead of 2). But if you can't handle the work load alone then downsize or get some part-time help, or at least be a little more humble with your attitude. I was originally very excited to recommend this place to my friends and took them here to eat, but by the end I was a little embarrassed at the service we received. Don't get me wrong, we're not strangers to the usual "Asian service" where you kind of get the first-gen treatment and don't expect please/thank yous with your meals...but this was really something else, and the quality of the meal couldn't even make up for it anyway. Sorry to say it was unacceptable to us; as visitors from out-of-town we used to look forward to making this one of our stops, but we won't be returning. A good meal/service can make someone's day, and the same could be said for the opposite. Good luck to anyone who might catch him on maybe a better day.

I ordered the quarter chicken with rice and salad, and I was really impressed with the portion sizes. For the quality and quantity of food you get, this place is truly a gem. That said, there were a couple of downsides. The restaurant itself is very small, with limited seating available. The customer service also wasn't the best during my visit. Since the dining area was completely full when we arrived, we decided to place our order to go. While we were waiting for our food, a table opened up, so we asked if we could sit down and eat there instead. We were told that because we had ordered our food to go, we were not allowed to sit in the restaurant. I found that a bit disappointing, especially since we had already paid for the same food as everyone else dining in. Overall, the food was excellent and definitely the reason I would come back. If I'm in the area and craving their chicken, I'd absolutely return--just with different expectations regarding the seating situation and service.

I have been eating Dave's since they first started, and unfortunately will no longer return or recommend to anyone.
