I love this place. The budtenders are very helpful, They tend to my needs. They know the flower you're not guessing if you're getting something that you don't want. they treat you with respect, they don't rush you they make sure you are happy with your purchase. I live next to a dispensary, but I drive to that dispensary because I love how I am treated when I go into their facility and spend my money. The only thing that I don't like that I just found out is they don't get to keep all their tips. I think that's not fair. I VISITED THIS LOCATION ON FRIDAY, JULY 3RD This place is absolutely the WORST dispensary I have ever been to in California. Whoever the lady with pink hair is at the front should find another role that suits her disposition, customer service is not for her. She was rude, condescending and not helpful at all. I hope this was an off day for this location because there were so many issues inside and outside of the dispensary, it was unreal. 1. Security guard was on his phone until we walked up. Security looks at our identification and directs us to the lady with the pink hair. 2. There is cleaning equipment (shopvacs or cleaning machines?) in front of the concentrates case which made it difficult to look at the items. There were 2 cleaning people cleaning around the shelves and windows etc, we couldn't tell if they worked there or were a cleaning service until we asked if they could help us and was told they were not employees. 3. Pink hair, said she needed to make us profiles. She had my passport for quite sometime and DID NOT ENTER A PROFILE! 4. There were 3 budtenders behind the counter and one of them was on his phone. One of them was helping a customer, the other was standing there. No one approached us to see if we had questions or needed help. 4. The signage in the case was unclear and prompted questions. I stood in line, and the budtender was very nice. I asked my question then told him I was going back to the case to take a look at something else. I had another question, by now there were a few customers but the one bud tender was standing around on his phone. Pink hair had no customers. I approached her and asked if she could see if someone was available to help because I had a couple questions about items in the case. She told me I could "pop back in line" and someone would help me. The look on my face must have showed how I felt because I just stood in line and there was a budtender not helping anyone. I have never had this experience at any of the MANY dispensaries I have visited in this and other states. I asked if she could answer a question. She reluctantly came over. I asked about the signage, saying "last chance" I asked if these were expired or discounted items. She proceeded to tell me it was the last of the batches (which I understood) and some may be discounted but not like they used to be because "corporate says no" Very disrespectful of the company you work for to speak this way. At this point, I was still going to spend money here and went back to the line. I didn't get his name but he was tall with glasses and very pleasant. 5. There is a HUGE banner outside that says 30% off for first timers. I was a first timer. The bud tender asked if I had been to Nug before I said I THINK I may have gone to San Leandro years ago. He asked me to hold on and he checked something in the computer, he said I had no profile, I could go over to Pink hair and she could enter it. 6. I then went over to Pink hair who said I was not able to use the first time discount, I said I think I may have visited a location years ago but wasn't sure, (I have been to alot of storefronts. She said sorry, corporate wouldn't allow it. I then went back over to the budtender and told him she said no. His response was what, why? Pink hair begins yelling across the store (which has a handful of customers now that Corporate wasn't going to allow it) The budtender was very apologetic and appeared to confused by her behavior as well. 7. Let me stress the fact that I HAVE NO PROFILE ON FILE! At this point I decided to leave without purchasing, I was disrespected and belittled and would not be paying anyone to treat me this way. On the way out, Pink hair yells across the store "sorry, corporate won't allow it" Won't allow what, is my question??? I had no profile on file! To NUG management, please be aware of the way your staff treats customers. I just happened to stop in and check out the inventory at a new place on my drive home. YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY rodeo in town. Wasn't happy with the Customer Service here, prices are way too expensive, and at this place you can't smell or even see many of the flowers inside so you're just looking at cartoon colored bags and hope that you get something good when you open it up and get home. First I went to the NUG on Broadway. The manager there was okay but the sales person was a disaster. So I went to the Alameda one. And thankfully I did. I was able to get what I need and the manager upped the game by offering me the bigger packaging of 10 patches each pack at a better price so I bought TWO packages so I'm now set for the next 6 months. But I will be back sooner because they offer other item I've not seen offered before - capsules! Plus clean safe parking right behind the store. I've found my canna-home! If you're a lady don't go to NUG in Alameda. I tried to go there last night on Friday May 24th & I was harassed by the security guard about where to park. The parking situation sucks do to the restaurant next door which takes up all the parking. The security guard rushed me and was criticizing me and making me uncomfortable that I left the dispensary. I had previously went before and their selection is small and the bud tenders are mid. But I really want to express how awful the security guard treated me and why I do not recommend this dispensary due to my experience with the security guard. He was intimidating and rude. Time went by and it was 9:08am so I knocked on the door, no response but 1 minute latee they started raising their roll-up doors on the window but without telling us anything. Some of them don't check the type (Indica/sativa/hybrid) before confirming what it is- I always double check the products I've been using so it's no issue if you do the same. WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! As I walked in, I stepped on a black dog who was resting on the black rug of the front door. I managed not to injure the dog. I feel pretty bad on my right hand. No one bothered to helped me up. all the staff looked at me fall and continued with their business. The dog belonged to someone who was in the store to promote their product. I got up and I was very upset, and I ask what on earth the dog was doing there. The receptionist said: dogs are allowed in the store mam!!!! She never apologized and never ask if I was ok.... They were lucky that I am fit and was able to manage my fall without breaking my wrist or my hand. If they think that it is ok for dogs to nap on the front door rug, someone will eventually break something. I have no problem with dogs but there is better place for pets to rest. After I got out, I got a text asking how was my experience, I described what happened and I never got any feedback from them, no apologies, or anything at all!!! I will never return to that shop ever again that is for sure! It is a HAZOURDS! Luckily, there is a few dispensaries in Alameda that care. If you know someone elderly that go there, tell them to BE CAREFUL, cause eventually someone will get hurt, or simply tell them to go somewhere else.
