First I went to the NUG on Broadway. The manager there was okay but the sales person was a disaster. So I went to the Alameda one. And thankfully I did. I was able to get what I need and the manager upped the game by offering me the bigger packaging of 10 patches each pack at a better price so I bought TWO packages so I'm now set for the next 6 months. But I will be back sooner because they offer other item I've not seen offered before - capsules! Plus clean safe parking right behind the store. I've found my canna-home! Service was terrrible, there were 3 of us waiting patiently outside of Nug Alameda @9:01am . Time went by and it was 9:08am so I knocked on the door, no response but 1 minute latee they started raising their roll-up doors on the window but without telling us anything. Then another minute goes by and a gentle man comes outside and tells us the system is "shut-down" and it'll take 10-15 minutes. Completely absurd. read more

If you're a lady don't go to NUG in Alameda. I tried to go there last night on Friday May 24th & I was harassed by the security guard about where to park. The parking situation sucks do to the restaurant next door which takes up all the parking. The security guard rushed me and was criticizing me and making me uncomfortable that I left the dispensary. I had previously went before and their selection is small and the bud tenders are mid. But I really want to express how awful the security guard treated me and why I do not recommend this dispensary due to my experience with the security guard. He was intimidating and rude. He needs to be fired. With so many other dispensaries in area NUG does not add value to Alameda. read more

Nug is making it impossible for medical patients to register for the discounts they deserve. No one at the store can help and they tell you to call the 800 corporate number. No one answers that phone. The staff at El Cerrito and Alameda are great people but the company they work for is sticking it to medical patients. read more

Some of the people you can tell are either new to smoking or at least new to giving recommendations. Some of them don't check the type (Indica/sativa/hybrid) before confirming what it is- I always double check the products I've been using so it's no issue if you do the same. I've never had a defective vape or cartridges I didn't like. Their deals are also great they have so many brands that they list the days that certain ones are on sale. read more

Six disinterested youths behind the counter, one at the door. No one greeted my wife or I or asked if we needed help when we walked in yesterday, no other customers in the store. We had to ask what to do as everything is locked in glass display cases. Really made us feel unwelcome. WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! As I walked in, I stepped on a black dog who was resting on the black rug of the front door. I managed not to injure the dog. I feel pretty bad on my right hand. No one bothered to helped me up. all the staff looked at me fall and continued with their business. The dog belonged to someone who was in the store to promote their product. I got up and I was very upset, and I ask what on earth the dog was doing there. The receptionist said: dogs are allowed in the store mam!!!! She never apologized and never ask if I was ok.... They were lucky that I am fit and was able to manage my fall without breaking my wrist or my hand. If they think that it is ok for dogs to nap on the front door rug, someone will eventually break something. I have no problem with dogs but there is better place for pets to rest. After I got out, I got a text asking how was my experience, I described what happened and I never got any feedback from them, no apologies, or anything at all!!! I will never return to that shop ever again that is for sure! It is a HAZOURDS! Luckily, there is a few dispensaries in Alameda that care. If you know someone elderly that go there, tell them to BE CAREFUL, cause eventually someone will get hurt, or simply tell them to go somewhere else. It has been a month now, I got my hand checked out, it is not broken, but my thumb is still very tender. They do not deserve my 1 star, but I had to give it to them to submit my warning. read more

I've never seen a business or brand more disinterested in keeping its customers. I've come home to find yet again the wrong order was placed in my bag, although they call out what should be in your order and place it on the counter. No one would consider you would HAVE to double check what these GROWN people are saying. I've been burned too many times from some of the most aloof people I've ever met and I will not be returning. If I could give zero stars, I would. Not only are they rude but their store lead with long hair is totally unprofessional. He tried to rip me off by selling a promotion item then telling me after I paid that they don't have the product in stock. He tried to give me a 15% off coupon to make up the cost. I paid $80 for top quality bud but now you're giving me a coupon cause you don't have it in stock? Apparently they promote products they don't have all the time here. Don't go to this store, they seem desperate for business but this approach will not fly with small cities like Alameda.
