I have been going here for years! I get compliments all the time for my nails. They always accommodate my nail designs. Mimi does an amazing job. Everyone is super friendly and I can trust that they will do a great job. Highly recommend.
Tried this place for a regular mani and pedi and thought my technician Kim did a great job. I only go for these things about twice a year so I'm not a pro, but the salon itself - although busy - was a pretty chill environment. There were no TVs, which at first I was disappointed about, but after a while, the background music was very soothing and I felt myself relaxing more. I even got off my phone so I could be more present and enjoy the pampering. Everyone was nice. They prefer cash and give a 5% discount. They had a lot of colors to choose from, but it was difficult to understand which products cost extra. I also didn't see much in the way of designs, like nail art but maybe that is something you need to ask for. There was no upselling, which I appreciated. And it wasn't a rushed experience. Kim really went the extra mile making sure my callouses were removed from my feet with a scary cheese grater that tickled. And she fixed the parts I messed up because my nails weren't 100% dried. She also asked me if I liked the color once applying it the first time before she proceeded. Very professional job. I think the prices are pretty standard for nail services. They seem to keep really busy but like any salon making an appointment is best but they could probably accommodate walk-ins.
I am obsessed with my nails. I went in for a fill and was nervous because I moved and had to find a new place , the gentleman took his time for each nail and they are absolutely perfect. This will definitely be my new place and I'm so glad I found it!
Update: After speaking to the owners, they had me come back into the salon. I was set up with Quen. She did an awesome job and fixed up the mani and pedi. They look very clean with beautiful crisp edges. I booked with her for 2 weeks from now. I guess I got a rough first impression, but thankfully they truly care about the customers experiences and fixed that first impression. Previously: This was my first, and unfortunately will be my last time to this place. While the guy who did my nails was a nice guy, truly, and I loved they used that sort of "grater" tool to help with calluses and dead skin, my overall no-chip mani and normal pedicure was something left to be desired. I didn't notice all these flaws when I left, as you typically just want to get going and to top it, they were busy, but when I had a moment to really look over I saw all the flaws. I honestly do a better job with the polish on my own. I remember pointing out to him nail polish on my skin on my pinky which he fixed but I didn't see the toes up close until later. Also noted was a lack of brand options to choose from for polish. Thy really only have DND DC duo brand. I typically prefer OPI or Essie. Think I will have to keep driving to my old place. Nice people, clean location and decent colors to choose from, but not the greatest mani/pedi.
I recently fell out of favor with the nail salon I have been going to for the last 3 years due to inconsistent results, so after hitting what was my last straw, I decided to search for a new nail place. After a lot of researching, I stumbled across Nu Image. To make an appointment, I suggest calling. They are really responsive and I have often been able to get in on the same day (though I should caveat that I usually make appointments for mornings in the middle of the week). They have a lot, and I mean a lot of colors to choose from. This could be a really great thing or hard for folks like me who have decision paralysis lol. Their technicians are precise for both manicures and pedicures. I have been there 3 times now and I have gotten so many compliments on my nails. They have a solid customer in me!
Amazing! I was specifically looking for a place that can truly do "nail art" and they didn't disappoint. A fairly simple light pink to white gradient acrylic but rest assured I knew I was in good hands ;) definitely looking forward to returning to Nu Image Nails for a more bold nail art execution.
Sydney did such an incredible job on my nails. I came in with Bio Gel as a base and she easily filed and filled my nails with acrylic powder which was beautiful. I also asked for a lipgloss nail top and she put together the sweetest base and glitter combo. She was so nice and helpful, can't wait to come back next time I'm in Chicago.
The only place I go to! I was looking for a place with great reviews when I moved to the city last year. So I've been going here for over a year. I had a few people do my nails and liked it, but honestly now I only trust Kathy! The other people did a good job, but she does an exceptional job. Very detail oriented and my nails can last over three weeks and still look good.

Great salon!! I'm here in Chicago visiting from Miami and was worried about finding a nail place I liked. After searching tons of reviews, I happened upon this gem. They quickly took care of me within a couple mins of arriving, and I got one of the best sets ever my new go-to place when I'm in Chicago! read more

I wanted to update my review after going for my Fill and do a little update on my nails!. I booked with Ellen again for my acrylic fill and no chip polish change!. Again she payed close attention to detail and did an incredible job reshaping my nails, and incredibly kind!. I was able to get in to see her next day with an appointment!, and she helped me find the perfect polish from a reference photo I brought. My acrylics also held up really really well even though I'm always working with my hands, and doing dishes/cleaning ect.. I'll be coming back every two weeks for my fill! read more

This salon is honestly the best place on earth. The people are so kind and professional. Not only that, but the setting is so calming and clean. I love this place so much and have recommended it to all of my friends and family. No matter which technician you receive, you can expect amazing service. I am so happy that I found this place, because now I know I always have somewhere I can count on to go for a good time and a great manicure! read more

Went yesterday and my tech, Ellen, wasn't there. I was so sad. I was SO LUCKY to get Sonny this time. He is so meticulous & detailed. He worked fast, but didn't rush at all. Constantly shaping and buffing until each nail was perfect. He also went out of his way to match a color I had in mind. He experimented with mixing a few shades until it was just right. It came out looking BETTER than the photo I got off IG. He was so patient and kind, too. Everyone there is! read more

First time visitor-My overall experience was pretty good and willing to go back. However, I have mixed feelings about this "ombré" job. I brought a design I wanted and loved the outcome until I left the salon and get to take a closer look. It looks super cute from afar but can't really tell if it's ombré, more like an awkward brush stroke. I might just get something basic next time. read more

So this is a little bit of a hike for me since I live south near wrigley but it is worth it! Always have any color I can think of especially particularly trendy shades (except recently, no pale baby yellow in gel!) great with shaping my acrylic (I'm picky) and usually very easy to get in, I can a day ahead to book an appointment. I work in a hair salon and about 75% of my coworkers go here. Great service and pretty decent prices! An acrylic fill in, with gel polish and a regular pedicure was only $68 Will always return. read more

The service at this nail salon is top notch. They made me feel very welcome and they really go above and beyond. I have never been to any other nail salon that has such great customer service. I was so pleasantly surprised by Nu Image. I went for a pedicure and a full pink and white set. They really listen to what you want and when the color didn't seem quite right on my nails, they happily offered to redo all the work they had already done. Their quality in workmanship is great, as well. Top notch place! I don't think I'll ever go anywhere else now. read more

This is very telling of your unprofessionalism at your shop. If you had read for comprehension, you wouldn't even had bothered to respond a whole 8 months later! You claim I'm inconsiderate of people having children, honestly that sounds like a personal problem! You, yourself to me to come in regardless and you failed to communicate with your worker if she was able to do it. You got upset when you didn't have anyone to do it so you had to do it yourself and you showed your true character when that happened. We all have personal issues but you failed to communicate with both your employee and client! Simple let's call a spade a spade. It's shameful that as a business instead of taking accountability for what happened 8months ago you took the time to write such rubbish n in your little head you thought you did something. Please take some training on diversity and customer communication instead of wasting your time responding to negative comment because of your lack of manners and professionalism! I really liked your service for the past 4 years, despite your workers not being able to do a proper pedicure(washing n painting the toes isn't pedicure). There places we'll mannered than you! Yes strange world when you watched me cry in front of you now you want my putty because I wrote a bad review! I'm a woman of my words and I did tell you I'll leave a review! I told your husband too! He was more nicer than you. Word of advice if you want your business to succeed learn to be compassionate, diverse and not snobbish. That's an ugly characteristic to have as a person n in this business. Everything you said to me I wish that for you too boo. read more

**Customers beware May 25th I went in to gel mails removed and have pedicure and a no chip manicure done. It wasn't even a full week before my nail on my thumb crack through the middle and the top of my pinky nail came off. They ended up fixing the two nails with a gel coating so my nail would not come off, however last week the nail on my middle finger and my thumb on my other hand have cracked across the middle as well. This is not ok' I don't the person name that did my nails but she did an AWFUL job. Even the nail polish on my toes began chipping away the second week ( I got a non-chip pedicure ) When I had my nails removed upon arrival they where long, THICK and most importantly HEALTHY. I believe she shaved down my nails to low and made them very brittle and week to the point that almost all my nails are breaking. Truly disappointed because I usually get my nails done here and I always leave more then satisfied with the work done. The only reason I'm not giving it one star is because the owner does great work on nails, and so does Tee ( who I usually get). I really wish I asked the girls name who did my names so that everybody can stay clear off this person, because the work done on my nails was inexcusable! read more

This place is amazing! I walked in on a Wednesday morning and got right in. I changed my mind about 3 times about my color and she was very patient with me. While I was there I heard others raving about their nails. I walked in and saw a girl getting her nails done, they had marble and chrome and they looked amazing! I got an acrylic fill and a gel chrome manicure. I love that they actually cut your cuticles even for acrylics, in my experience, they usually don't! My nail technician was very friendly and took her time on my nails. She warned me that chrome can chip easily, so she did two extra top coats and did a great job. I will definitely be going back! UPDATE: my no chip chipped after one day. Went back the next week (because I couldn't make it sooner but had to live with chipped nails that I just had done) and they're closed on Tuesdays!!!! Next visit: was amazing. They offered me $5 off for my chipped nail last time. This time I got a pedicure and another no-chip and both look great! Walked in and got right in on a Monday morning. They are so sweet here. They told me they'll keep track of my nails and tell me when I need a new set. They really seem helpful and sweet! read more

My previous nail tec, moved away... So I've been hunting for a new location. After reading the reviews and seeing the beautiful nail pictures on line. I booked an appointment. Sydney put a full acrylic set with warm pink ombre, topped with clear no chip. So beautiful, she is so attentive to details. I'm so happy to have a new place... I googled the latest nail trends because I've recently had the black nails and holiday red nails. I requested Milky Ombré Nails because I love the neutral look, I'm interviewing for jobs and they're unique and rich. Before you get your Milky Ombré Nails, your other nails have to be taken off. It had been a while so this was good timing to remove my gel nails for the clean slate. Nail techs are artists - and the Milky Ombré elevates the art! He started off asking me if I had a pic of what I would like and then proceeded showing me the 3 options for the pink base. I selected the middle pink that has a slight sparkle in the powder. Don't they look amazing?!?! I LOVE Nu Image Nails. Every single tech I've had has gifted me with high-quality, long-lasting nails. I have been to multiple salons in Chicago and I keep going back. While they do not offer Groupons, I keep going back! They're so quality, service oriented, and consistently great. They offer high value for the price and it's worth it. I highly recommend this salon and will keep returning. read more

First time experience getting a no chip manicure at this spot and I was not disappointed! Super satisfied! Came here the other day wanting to try something new and closer to my neighborhood. It was busy on a weekday but they handled it gracefully. I was asked if I wanted to soak my feet while I waited which, of course no one turns down lol . I waited about 10-15 mins . All of the nail techs were friendly, fast and efficient. They were also knowledgeable about current nail trends . Something I enjoyed was the hot towel when it came to my pedi. I think I found a new favorite place ! Thank you to my nail tech, Josie. The salon seems very well kept , organized and clean. Clean tools also . They have a sign in page for services (They do more than nails ) hence "spa ". It was a cool detail. I will be back. :) ** CASH TIPS** read more

I was referred here by a friend. I've been here 2 times with Steve and he has saved my nails. I had been doing the dip for years and my nails were just so bad and thin from the removal process being performed every 2-3 weeks. My first time here, I got a no chip manicure. Those lasted about a good three weeks. I told myself that I wanted to get an overlay of gel powder over my real nails for my next time I visit. However, I think every salon is different and the last thought I wanted a full set gel powder nails. I didn't know they couldn't just overlay the gel powder with my real nails. Or maybe I just wasn't specific with what I wanted. Long story short, I ended up getting a full set of gel powdered nails. I was upset I didn't get what I wanted but I'm not even mad because my nails were looking too cute! I love them and definitely would go back and clarify my wants next time. read more

Love this place... I never have a problem getting in. Huge selection in gel no chip colors. Prices are reasonable and service is great. I am very picky with my nails because I have small hands and Sydney does an amazing job. They never look thick and bulky. I recommend this place to picky people like me. I had been going to Nu Image for years to get acrylic sets and they always did good work and I was always happy. I switched to a new salon this summer when I started getting dip instead of acrylic as I thought Nu Image didn't do dip. Well when I learned that they did I was super excited as they have always been reliable and are much closer to where I live. I tried getting dip there twice and was disappointed both time. I got flimsy, see through sets that don't last two weeks, when I have never had that issue in the last 6 months I've been getting dip manicures. My newest set is crooked and patchy and both sets I got were not the colors I asked for. I have never left a bad review for anywhere before but I am honestly frustrated. It's a great place for acrylic and gel sets but I would suggest somewhere else for dip. read more
