The store manager, Chris, was upfront about the issue and mentioned they were working on sourcing a new part. When I inquired about a rental due to the delay (which was caused by their error), Chris said he wasn't sure about rental options but gave me the number to their corporate office. After speaking with Elvin at corporate, he offered to arrange an Uber home and said the part should arrive by Monday. When I asked Chris about the Uber, he said he didn't have the app. I offered to order my own ride if they would reimburse me, and Chris agreed, saying they would also cover the labor due to their mistake. However, communication and consistency quickly fell apart. On Monday, I was still told the part hadn't arrived. I reminded them that I had already missed work due to this delay and again requested a rental. This time, my request was escalated to a regional manager, Craig, who took a different tone. He seemed more focused on shifting blame, suggesting the issue was caused by old brake pads. I informed him that I had new Brembo ceramic pads installed at Mavis less than a year ago, and I had photos proving their condition. After some back-and-forth, he said he would push the rental request forward -- though it seemed more like appeasement than actual action. When I finally picked up my vehicle on Thursday, I was surprised to find I was being charged for labor, even though I had been previously assured this would be covered due to their technician's error. Just 20 minutes after leaving the shop, I heard a noise and discovered one of the anti-rattle clips from the front brake pads had fallen off due to improper installation. I returned to the store, and instead of taking responsibility, the manager blamed the issue on the age of the clips, saying I should have bought new ones. This experience left me with serious concerns about the quality of workmanship, internal communication, and customer service at this location. I gave them multiple opportunities to do right by the situation, but instead, I received shifting stories, blame-shifting, and ultimately more inconvenience and cost than I started with. I would strongly urge others to think twice before trusting their vehicle with this shop.

Little Shop of Horrors - "As I was leaving the store to hit the road, my car almost didn't stop and…read moreI almost drove onto traffic." (Long Read) On April 1st, 2024 I brought in my car because i noticed a brake fluid leak. After inspection I was advised it needed a new Master Cylinder. I pick up the car the next day and immediately notice it takes longer to stop when pressing on the brakes, and I have to press the brake longer and deeper. As I was leaving the store to hit the road, my car almost didn't stop and I almost drove onto traffic. The useless store manager got in the car with me to test drive the car, asking me 'what's wrong'? How could he not know? don't they test drive their cars after repairs to make sure they are safe? Manager says he felt something wrong as we approached a stop sign, but then keeps commenting 'they feel fine to me' or 'I don't see anything wrong with them'. During the test drive he gets a phone call where he states 'yeah, I need to get better mechanics in here. The ones I have are not working out' - that was not very reassuring. When we get back to the store he tells me to leave the car there for further inspection. The next day I call and speak with Paul, the service manager, for a status update. Paul advises he felt the issue when test driving the car and will see what went wrong. He suggests the brakes may need to be bled again. I decided to let them work and see when they'd get done with the work. I called for an update 2 days later, Paul advises they need to replace the brake master cylinder and rebleed the brakes. I called 2 days after that, Paul advises they are just getting the piece in. At this point I thought it was weird for them to keep the car this long since it sounds like a simple repair for an 'experienced mechanic'. I felt there was something off and they weren't telling me something. On April 6th I reached out to the Director of Operations Will Michaux. Will reached out to them and per their standards the car was ready by 12pm. I get there, the rep behind the counter advises everything was checked and double checked and everything is working fine. I test drive the car - it's a little better, but the brakes are still not safe to drive. I decide to leave, cut my losses and let someone else check the brakes since they may keep the car another month to bleed the brakes properly. If you plan to have major repairs done here, don't. For the safety of you, your family and other drivers, don't do it. Go to a locally or family owned shop instead. The store manager - a joke The service manager - a joke I will finish with the following, and I want you to read the next sentence very carefully before you decide to have any major repairs done here: It was perfectly fine for this business to let a customer drive away with faulty brakes. Would you trust a business who did that with your car...and your life?

Weeks of no communication and me having to continuously call to try to get someone on the phone to give me info. I was told they are still trying to find the problem. after 3 months of very little and difficult to have communication, I was told that they couldn't figure it out and for me to come get it and just pay for the part. that was fine until I got there to get the truck. they had it sitting out back for so long that the battery (less than a year old) was dead and there were so many leaves on it I couldn't see the bed liner. The truck barely ran when i got which is 10x worse than when I gave it to them. Also, to top things off it appears that someone use the tailgate as a cutting board, because it has a ton of gouges in it. basically after 3 months of no communication I got my truck back with a dead battery, running way worse, gouges in my tailgate, and still had to pay them. if i had the choice of setting the truck on fire or let them work on it id choose the fire. the truck wouldn't be drivable either way but at least the fire would be faster

With Ford it was impossible to make an appointment; and they had my car all day to do a simple oil change and inspection. When I called McDaniels, they told me I didn't need an appointment and they had me in and out in less than 30 minutes and sent me a VIDEO inspecting my car, so I know it was done right. (They also had MUCH BETTER snacks in the waiting room) With my fiancées Nissan, called made an appointment at a Nissan dealership. Was waiting 6+ hours (on my day off) for an oil change and CVT fluid service. When they were done I asked for the inspection report and they said the technician DID NOT inspect the car, and the air filter was FILTHY. (I ended up just replacing that myself.) At Subaru my service advisor Peyton was very nice and prompt. The service manager (whose name I forgot) was also exceptional and took time to talk about what he recommended for my car, even though it was a busy day. I have full confidence in the department, and honestly I don't mind paying a little more for the peace of mind knowing my vehicle is running great. The complimentary wash is pretty sweet too. Would 100% recommend.

Chris was a true gentleman in his attitude, his approach, his manner and his willingness to take the time to help me decide just what I was looking for. In fact, I had no intention of actually picking out a car that day, I just was "window shopping". There was absolutely NO PRESSURE to buy. I was so impressed and comfortable shopping that I felt no need to look any further than McDaniel's. Everyone I met from the sales department to the service department was top notch. No grumpy people, lots of smiles and friendliness. If you are a woman car shopping on your own, I would tell you that you are safe from pressure or male superior attitude at McDaniel's. I highly recommend Chris but I feel you are in good hands with anyone in Sales. And this is an important part of my story: I had almost completed the arrangements to purchase a particular car WHEN I CHANGED MY MIND about what I wanted. I felt so badly about doing that but EVERYONE was so good to me. There was NO negative attitude or comments when we basically had to start over with all the paperwork. From my salesman Chris, to Sales Manager Able, and the other staff members I dealt with - Braxton, Hunter, Brad, Jessica, Melody and others I was treated with patience, kindness and respect. I am so happy with my new Outback (my 2nd one) but I also feel like I made new friends. I know that when I return for service I will be sure to stop in any check on the people in the Sales Department. A HUGH thank you to Chris and all the others that he works with. Kathy S
