Sold my leased Lexus to the dealership for the offered KBB instant cash price. Everything checked out and they were happy to do business. They tried to add an $799 GPS fee and another $799 tracking device fee -- two unnecessary add-ons totaling nearly $1,600. These charges were never disclosed online on the posting itself. We expected normal costs like doc and tag fees, but these were clearly inflated and misleading. Even worse, because we were paying cash, they told us we'd have to pay an additional $1,000 (which made the price 18,990 before any fees or taxes). That was shocking. Why penalize someone for not financing? If anything, a cash buyer should be getting a discount -- not a surcharge. We've bought many cars from many bigger and better dealerships and never had to pay GPS/Tracking fees. Even before talking numbers, we went on a test drive. When going on a test drive, the sales rep didn't even scan or check our drivers license before letting us test drive the vehicle, which I'm assuming isn't their policy. After seeing how they operated, we were ready to walk away and had already made it clear we were done with the deal. As we were leaving, the salesperson came back with a new offer. We responded with a final counteroffer -- just $700 less than what they proposed -- and that's when everything blew up. Out of nowhere, the sales manager with a lazy eye stormed over and aggressively yelled at us to leave the store. He shouted and screamed at us for even offering $700 less and acted like a troublesome individual It was a deeply unprofessional and shocking outburst. We never raised our voices, never disrespected anyone -- we simply made a standard counteroffer and were already in our car trying to leave before the salesman came out in the first place. Wanting to give them a chance to explain, we spoke with the General Manager over the phone. Who did apologize and asked us to consider coming back. When asked what can we do to resolve this issue over the phone he stated that "we are really busy and like taking care of business in person," there was not a single costumer sitting down in that dealership when we were there. When we asked for the name of the manager who yelled at us, the GM refused to provide it and stated that they could not do that coldly ended the conversation by hanging up the phone. After the whole situation, we checked Yelp -- and of course, this dealerships has a 2.4-star rating. Now it all makes sense. Multiple reviews describe the exact same rude behavior, and a lack of transparency. This dealership lures people in with low online prices, then loads on undisclosed fees, especially if you're paying cash. And if you push back to slightly negotiate? Prepare to be insulted. Never ever have we had a dealership disrespect us and we have bought from many bigger and higher named dealerships before. We left feeling disrespected and misled. There are plenty of honest dealerships out there. This isn't one of them.

I have brought my Prius in for service many times but after a 5 year hiatus in Florence we moved back to Irmo area. I have to say I thought the Florence Toyota prices were high but come to find out Jim Hudson was even higher. We are talking near $185 for oil change and tire rotation. I know there is inflation but this is unexceptable, way over priced for these services. I was stupefied and not willing to be duped like this again so I took my Prius to Steve Padget Honda across the street over bridge. It felt wrong but oil and tire rotation for $146 which is still high but lower. Apparently this Prius cost more because the starting rate is $68 for oil, one of downsides to hybrids. I use to have no problems with service costs at Jim Hudson, perhaps in time they will decrease again.

Yea, I had to wait awhile because I didn't have an appointment but this is one of the problems we face here in America ( A LACK OF LOVE & PATIENCE). Well, I asked the tech to look in glove box, and he came back and said he couldn't find it. I said don't worry about it, it's my fault. Moving forward 2 days, I got a call from customer service, and that's as when I decided to go to car, and double check, I was correct, I did not have any locks on my wheels. Then I got slightly angry, I called and left several messages for customer service, and the service department. And nobody got back to me. I then when to shop on the only day I was able to, a Saturday, after I tried several times, and no return calls again that same day. The manager of service department was then told when I was there, that I had aftermarket rims on my vehicle, and that was why they didn't rotate them. I brought him outside, and shows him me fully stock vehicle. And he said I don't have an answer for you, and the shop is fully booked for the day. I said I am sorry, but that is unacceptable, and the fact nobody got back to me, is also unacceptable. I then agent to the main building, and also left my number again, and this in now 2 weeks later, and no return call. Very unacceptable. You have now lost me as a new potential customer. Over this. Would like someone to reach out to me, if you choose to, obviously my many calls didn't get any response.

Kegan has always been so helpful and helped us out in ways we didn't know we could get out from being upside. His knowledge, energetic personality, and his positivity doesn't go unnoticed. I recently came in to Golden Motors to have new tires and rims put on my new Jeep Rubicon. I had so many question I didn't know where to start. Warren was the man who helped me out. Not only did we sit down and talk about best options for my Jeep, but also what look I wanted and what I expect to do with my Jeep. He took the time to show me different options for both tires and rims. My expectations were blown through the roof. Not only did they come in super quick and I was able to get them done the same week. He made sure I was happy and what to except with my new driving experience and made sure I loved it before I left. During my time with Golden Motors I had the pleasure of meeting Chris. He is the Jeep Man. Chris knows all things Jeeps. It was great talking with Chris about more great option I can update my interior look and exterior. With all those great ideas he gave me, I can't wait to do more! Thank you to the amazing customer service from the first initial phone call, to the entering the building with smiling great faces, till the time I walked out. MJ stopped communicating with me and will not return a text or phone call. One of the ladies that work there is the only person that returned my call. I finally received the floor mats, weeks later, after several phone calls and text. One of the only messages that I received from MJ blamed the tariffs, completely inaccurate. I still haven't received the correct tag lights, the one that was sent was the wrong one. I wouldn't be as upset if MJ, my salesman, had communicated with me better. A man is only as good as his word...something that is no longer taught and something that I will no longer accept.
