The ice cream is soooo good! I came here because they were offering a special hot honey pineapple ice cream, flavors that are in tribute of a pizza offered at neighboring business Myke's Pizza. The shop is really tiny and as such offers no indoor seating but there is a small 2 top table right next to the shop and more tables in the front area before you pass the gates to the corridor where the shops in this area are. I've been to the Phoenix Novel location and have really enjoyed the ice cream but have not enjoyed the parking situation. Here, parking is easier since there is ample free public parking for the downtown area and its location in close proximity to the Natural History Museum makes it an alluring sweet treat after spending a day with the dinosaurs. The ice cream did not disappoint. I thoroughly enjoyed the combination of pineapple and spiciness from the honey. The texture was smooth and creamy and it had just the right amount of sweetness. I also got a scoop of the POG (passion orange guava) which was just as advertised. I'm a passion fruit fan so I try to get anything with passion fruit in it if I see it on a menu! read more

Novel Ice Cream We pulled up around 10 pm on a Friday night and saw alot of people by the street enjoying ice cream, a good sign, it was kind of dark and there is this long deep looking corridor alley with a long line of people maybe about 30 yards long waiting to order their ice cream from a window. There is no inside to this shop, no sitting in the corridor, just a sign listing flavors and a friendly person taking orders for ice cream. The line went fairly quick and our decisions were, being first timers, Donut stuffed Bourbon Caramel Toffee Crunch and with my keto diet, just have to say, forget about it, Donut stuffed cookie monster. Both were excellent and would highly recommend, when the temperature starts hitting 100 in Phoenix, this is a terrific way to cope with the heat or a good excuse to kill a diet. I came here after a night out and a sweet tooth craving (as usual). The flavor options are unique and I had to go for the most special flavors. I think I got honey lavender and the bourbon toffee crunch. Both were really good. I got the smallest container because that's how I roll.
