I really like this restaurant. The food is really good. I had the wedge salad which was very fresh. My whole table had the skirt steak which was also very very good, most importantly, the french fries were cooked to perfection. Excellent food and service. Love the vibe and decor. We were seated outside. My family had the hanger, the burger, and I had the picanha. All were excellently cooked. The hanger was sliced nicely against the grain too. The fries, mashed potatoes, and seasonal roasted vegetables were excellent compliments. I came back with friends for dinner Saturday evening. I joined the Neighborhood Perk & was again treated like a rockstar. Curtis, our waiter was friendly, engaging & exceptional. It was a beautiful night. We sat outdoors on the side garden. The high top chairs were a little difficult to maneuver. Novecento opened last year in the Falcon House a historic 1925 building with a rich past as a pharmacy for the Falcon family. It became popular bars & restaurants like the original Falcon House party space, Max's Social House, Death or Glory, before it's revival as "The Falcon". I started with a lychee, gin and tonic. My handmade artichoke spinach empanada was very flavorful and had an interesting delicious sauce inside. Friends enjoyed the chicken and steak empanadas as well. The BEST breakfast ever. The scrambled eggs were perfectly seasoned, the potatoes crisp on the outside and flaky inside, and the bacon cooked perfectly. I had a delicious cultural experience with my friends over the weekend at Novocento Delray. This location has been a struggle for many past restaurants and I dont know why. It is located just north of the "Ave" and has its own free parking area. The restaurant is super cute and the service and food was very good. We all took part in their bottomless "boozy" brunch beverages with our entrées orders. We had a variety of dishes from empanadas and salmon ceviche to burgers and salads. Everything was delicious and since it was during the dine out Delray month, we had our dessert included in the meal price. The server, Valentina, worked extra hard as bartender and table server. She was just super nice and definitely a well experienced server. The meal was great with our friends and I will be sure to come back for a return visit. read more

I came back to Novecento after being invited for Sips & Bites. The "temperature controlled" outdoor area could use a bit more actual temperature control, but the Sips & Bites were so good that I had to return for a full experience. I'm glad I did. 1. The staff is incredibly gracious and kind. Our waitress Tracy was extremely attentive without ever coming off as pushy or rushed. She was warm and personable. I also spoke with one of the managers. I don't remember his name, but he had tattoos and even gave me a hug. I don't think I've ever been hugged by restaurant staff before, but I loved it. They really make you feel like family. I was shocked to find out this place is a chain. I had no idea. I thought it was an original restaurant concept. Wow. 2. The food. The chicken empanada is heavenly. I know you can choose two, but I would recommend getting two of the chicken. They are creamy and large enough that you can split one in half and comfortably share. The filling is piping hot and the dough on the outside is fluffy. 3. The steaks were cooked to a perfect temperature. I am a medium-well girl and I will not apologize for it. Bad restaurants treat it like I said well-done and burn my steak. Not here. I had a hot pink center just the way I like it. Thank you so much for that. My absolute compliments to the chef. The steak was flavorful and juicy. I ordered the NY Strip and my partner had the filet. Both cuts of meat were so flavorful and tender that I could hardly tell the difference. 4. I highly recommend the grilled vegetables to accompany the steak. Nothing pairs better than peppers and onions with a good steak. I was blown away. 5. I am not a huge fan of flan, but the person I was with really wanted to try it. Even though I'm usually not into flan, I enjoyed the dulce de leche flavor and the whipped cream. Wanted to surprise my fiance for his birthday dinner with reservations someplace we had yet to try and Novecento made the cut. After reviewing their menu I absolutely knew this was the spot and that he'd want to try their Waygu Denver and lucky for us, he got the last piece of the night. We arrived a few minutes late for our 8pm reservation because I didn't research parking so don't make my mistake! There is very limited street parking so we opted for a nearby garage. Garage parking cost us $8 for the 1.5hrs we were there. Once seated we were offered warm bread and placed an order for their empanada appetizer. The empanadas were yummy - your typical Argentinian style. Our main courses were Waygu Denver for my fiance with mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus and skirt steak with mashed potatoes for myself. Everything was to die for and cooked to perfection. For drinks, I'm a Malibu and Coca Cola girl so I was disappointed to hear they only had regular rums. However, my fiance ordered their Messi drink which came adorned with a soccer ball branded on the ice cube. The inside of the restaurant is quaint and typical for Delray establishments that seem to have taken over little bungalows. Valentina was amazing! She was our server and bartender and she was the highlight of our visit today. We were 6 people who came in for brunch. The place was empty. :( We started with unlimited drinks ..mimosas, prosecco, Bloody Mary, or Sangrias were the choices and you can switch. Price was $20 of ordering off the prix fixe menu or $25 normally. We started with Beef Carpaccio and a cheese appetizer. I forgot the name of the cheese one but it was very doughy. The carpaccio was very tender. Some of us did the prix fixe and got salmon crudo, empanada, and grilled Ceasar. All were good but the Ceasar salad stood out most. For a main I got the hamburger (forgot picture)which was cooked perfect. Friends got a wedge salad, Chorizo Scrambles, and Hamburgers. Portions were large. For dessert we got the crepe and it was so yummy. What a great ending to a wonderful meal. Only 2 other tables were sat while we were there which was sad. We hope to go back soon. read more

We made a reservation for outside about a day before not realizing how chilly it would be. When the hostess called to confirm, she was kind enough to offer us inside! It was warm and pretty inside. The one thing they threw me off right away was the bathroom. It's make/female to share with two stalls. I don't love their at up but it is what it is. Our waiter was very nice and made great recommendations! We started with a bunch of appetizers, including the shrimp, the bread and two orders of empanadas both beef and spinach. The empanadas were crispy on the outside and delicious and flavorful on the inside. The shrimp were in this white wine sauce and cooked perfectly. The waiter recommended taking the bread and dipping it into the sauce, which we did and it was terrific! Next, we got the Caesar salad. I think I single handedly ate the entire thing! It was one of the best Caesar salads I've ever had. Then we moved on to our entrées. I got the grilled chicken and mashed potatoes. Chicken was moist and delicious. Mashed potatoes were just average nothing special. I should've gotten a different side. My husband got the fried chicken and french fries and said both were delicious. The chicken was nice and juicy and had good flavor. My cousin got the risotto with steak and commented on how the steak was cooked perfectly and the risotto was creamy and delicious. Her husband got the skirt steak and mentioned that it was super flavorful and tender. Sometimes skirt steak can be tough, but this was not he said. We opted not to get any dessert because we were so full! A couple of drinks were gotten and everything was delicious! The old-fashioned was superb. We will definitely be back! Such a cute restaurant. Tons of great food for a very good price. I rarely give places 5/5 but this was one. Split the paradilla. All of the meat was so good my favorite was either the sausage or churrasco. Picana was also really tasty and crispy and the chicken was moist and flavorful. The roasted potato was the best side and the roasted veggies also really good. The truffle fries were just ok and they didn't have the mashed potatoes bc they ran out. I was looking forward to an Argentinian restaurant in the area. Unfortunately, Novecento was disappointing. We enjoyed our pisco sours but got some attitude from the bartender, always a turn off. Next, the table they initially gave us was in the back and not as nice as other parts of the restaurant. When I went up to the desk, the manager was quite accommodating, but I can't say as much for the hostess trying to prove me wrong about the table and the reservation, pointing to the part of the screen where it said "hi-top or table". Thank you, I'm glad you think you think were correct; that's some poor customer service. Again, the manager was helpful and sat us at nice two-top. As for the food, just average, at best. We had the sausages, which weren't very good. A sausage sitting on a plate, dry, alone, not too appealing. The grilled caesars were good and the provoleta was good. As for our mains, we tried the filet mignon and the rib eye, which were "direct from Argentina". The ribeye was overcooked and the filet was dry, not to mention that the texture of the ribeye was very odd. It didn't have a flat surface like most cuts of beef. The filet was cut in half crosswise and folded over. Why would anyone do that to a nice, thick piece of meat? Last time I saw this technique was at the Longhorn Steakhouse. And the fries were very basic, not at the level of good steakhouse fries. Our server, who was excellent and the exception to the frowny hostess, had a new ribeye prepared, which came out skirting on raw. The desserts were also not great. The creme brulee didn't have the nice, hard surface, the lava cake was okay, but the tiramisu was bad. We will not be going back. This is not the place to go for a good steak. read more

Very beautiful and elegant, the service was ooookay the waiter didn't refill our water enough and he didn't explain or know much about the menu. The empanadas did not have enough flavor, my husband got the steak and I got the spinach and cheese we both agreed that either salt or more flavor was missing it needed more "oomf". He got the burger and LOVED it, I got the grilled chicken with roasted veggies and again his fries lacked seasoning and my meal was the same, many things on the menu would've been much better with a sauce or more seasoning. Started with the Mendoza Sour cocktail, and it was delicious. The bread and butter was so good! We had the burrata appetizer but it didn't not seem to have enough seasoning or flavor, so would definitely skip this next time. We had the pesto pasta which was also underwhelming, and seemed to be dry and lacking cheese. The chicken milanesa, hanger steak and filet were all outstanding, would easily order any of those next time. Service was great, our server was very attentive! Gabe was amazing and the Apasionado cocktail was out of this world. We were seated after our drink and had the best server ever - Valentina! She was so attentive and friendly. The carpaccio was to die for. We would come back just for that. My husband got the filet and I got the skirt steak. Both were melt in your mouth and perfectly seasoned. My only complaint is the noise level because of the low ceilings. We were seated next to a trio who were so loud that my husband and I struggled to hear each other. We may sit outside next time. Both were quite large and delicious, such yummy dough as well as filling. On to brunch I had the wedge salad with shrimp, the dressing was so delicious as well as the rest. Very happy with my order. My husband who wanted the pancakes ended up with bacon, eggs and potatoes. Not exactly what he wanted but I swear there must have been 6 eggs in that scramble. They had a promotion going on where each table spun a wheel with prizes. I had to ask our waiter about it but he happily complied. Our server, Blair, was very attentive from the minute she asked if we wanted water to the point we departed for the evening. Happy Hour we made in time which ended at 6 and the appetizers were fantastic! Shrimp cooked perfectly for our shrimp cocktail, Argentine sausage on garlic bread with a flavorful aioli didn't last, and the Yellow Tail tuna tartar over a layer of chimichurra sauce was a perfect combination. Then came the Parrillada...OMG! Meats and side perfectly cooked, a nice variety of sides 4 of which accompany the main course. Room for dessert, the dulce de leche crepes a must!! The branzino was okay, and the ribeye was good. The desserts were very good. However, our waiter, Andrew D, was terrible. He seemed overwhelmed, and agitated to even be there. When answering our questions, he seemed annoyed as if we were bothering him. We had to ask the same questions several times to get a straight answer. He gave non-answers or partial answers, seeming to not want to go back to the kitchen to get correct info. Sorry to bother you and ask you to do your job, Andrew. When the check came, we were shocked to see that an automatic 18% gratuity was added for a party of 4. Why??!! Who does that? Only a restaurant that wants to have prickly, unmotivated waiters who want to do the bare minimum and be able to have bad attitudes. What motivation does the wait staff have to do their jobs if they are automatically getting an 18% tip?? I normally give at least 20%, but wanted to give this guy 15% or less, which is what he deserved. I'm very disappointed and will not be back at this restaurant. It used to be The Falcon House a long time ago..Since there were 4 of us and we were there before 7, we were able to order some happy hour items first. We ordered shrimp cocktail which was delicious (large shrimp with cocktail sauce and lemon zest), and hand made empanadas with spinach and cheese! So delicious.Salmon with pistachio-, quinoa, heirloom cherry tomatoes, wilted spinach and pesto was also ordered and loved. I ordered the branzio with roasted veggies. Yum. Other items were the pasta bolognese-tagliatelle, house-made short rib ragu and shallot cream.And a yummy birthday dessert as well. Please note that they do add an 18% service charge automatically to your bill so you don't need to add any more (unless you want to!). I really would come back as it feels very yummy and homey! The food was really good. I had no dispute with what I ordered. If I had one small complaint was my husband's Branzino was not completely deboned and did had scales.. He spent a portion of our meal taking the bones and scales out of his mouth. That being said, he said it was yummy nonetheless. Even my non-alcoholic. Mojito was very delicious. And we both enjoyed the dessert which was crêpes. The staff was lovely and our waitress in particular was extremely attentive to what we needed. The space was beautiful. I want to say this other thing, One of your other servers was highly disrespectful to your bus boy. He chastised him in the dining area with the guests there to bear witness. He accused him of not moving fast enough. We watched that bus boy work hard the entire time we were there. He clean tables. He removed glasses and plates. He brought new glasses and changed the tables out. He even brought me my knife for my steak. The whole time being respectful. Years ago, my husband was a bus boy for Red Lobster. So he was really appalled by the way he was treated. We gave him a little tip as acknowledgment for his good work. I say this to say, when you are kind to your staff, you get a lot more out of them. And honestly, I don't know how much more anyone could've gotten out of him. He did everything from bring stuff to the tables to do the dishes. That one gesture made the difference of the one star. You would've had five stars. Even with the issue with the bones and scales. We will definitely be back. Because the food was great, and the staff was kind to us. I visited Novecento for the second time since moving to Delray Beach and they didn't disappoint either! We got the Chicken and Steak Empanadas for starters and they were perfection! Our steak sandwiches were absolutely delicious and the Red Sangria is amazing. As if it couldn't get better, we got their Panqueques which is crepe pancakes with caramel- it was incredible! With that said, what really made our experience so darn good was our waiter, "Dev"! She was an absolute 10 out of 10! They are getting a star because the provoletta was actually good, everything else meh at best. And while the food was just mediocre the bigger issues are the service and doing right by the customer. I advised the waiter that my son has an egg allergy and that his steak sandwich shouldn't have any aioli on it but plain chimichurri instead. I was then told by the waiter that the chef was informed of this and that the aioli wouldn't contain egg, I was quite incredulous at this suggestion but the waiter reassured me that they take allergies seriously and that the kitchen staff will have this handled. As you can already guess, the sandwich came out, my son took one bite and immediate felt an allergic reaction coming on. Thankfully it was a mild reaction and could've been much worse. Immediately after the waiter and a couple of managers came to voice their apologies, stating that the kitchen staff had made a mistake. They offered to make my son another sandwich this time with just plain chimichurri. After a wait (and the rest of the group being done with their food) his new sandwich came out. No aioli this time but also no chimichurri, just steak on bread. No follow up. No further asks about how the new sandwich was. Check comes out and we are charged for two steak sandwiches, I point this out to the waiter and he goes to remove one of the sandwiches. We weren't looking for a freebie, but the sandwich should've been comped considering what had happened and the scary experience we had. There are also no parking options and the 4 spots out front are always full but also dangerous to park in. Really wished this restaurant well but after this experience we will not be returning. read more
