The cabinets I ordered are Kraftmaid and are themselves seemingly very good quality. However, more…read morethan one of the kitchen cabinets that were ordered by Tart for me have been too short, long, wide, etc. Bita (one of Tart's designers) brought to my house Abdou from Dahlia Design - which I was told by Bita is their preferred cabinet installer. Abdou and Bita took the initial measurements for my kitchen cabinets. We designed the cabinets and ordered them with these measurements. The total price for the kitchen cabinets was ~$21,130 (see invoice). Once the kitchen cabinets were ordered Bita referred me to Dahlia Design and told me I would deal directly with Abdou. The price Abdou quoted to install the kitchen cabinets, as well as three other bathroom vanities and a few small cabinets was $23,875 (see itemized quote) which was supposed to cover the cabinet install plus any other repair work. However, I already had contractors I hired for repair work. I did not use Dahlia Design because I did not need the extra repair work from them, instead I used another company who charged me $4,400 to install only the kitchen cabinets. During the kitchen cabinet installation, my installers almost immediately ran into issues with the size of some cabinets. The tall cabinet was too wide and too tall, the over the fridge cabinet was too wide, then both blind cabinets next to the sink were too short (width), and the seated cabinets were to long. The wood slabs that also came with the seated cabinets came too long and to wide, and Tart said it was the installer who would have to cut them down. The sizing of many cabinets was so wrong, that my installer (who told me before they did it) had to leave out filler pieces, cut my hardwood floor which wasn't supposed to be needed, double the size of the pony wall... all to make these cabinets work for my kitchen. However, the cabinet install still couldn't be completed. The pictures attached with this review are the final product for now, and some adjustments are needed to fix my kitchen. When I reached out to Tart about all of this, they basically denied any responsibility for how the cabinets turned out, followed by many excuses blaming me and my installers when my installers literally did their best to install these cabinets as is - including having to leave pieces out to get the cabinets to fit. After about a week of going back and forth with Beverly who is Tart's other designer, I finally got Tart to admit to some of their mistakes, but not enough to make a significant difference in how my kitchen turned out. I was also told that somewhere in the contract for the cabinets, in the fine print, the customer basically releases Tart of any responsibility for the measurements and that the burden is on the customer to make sure the measurements are correct. The customer being liable for the measurements was something that was never discussed between Bita and I. Had I known this, I would have insisted that I have my choice cabinet installer decided before the cabinets were even purchased, and that only my choice installer do the cabinet measurements. If you are seriously considering using Tart for cabinets, come with an installer already in hand, do not trust any measurements by Tart because they sneak verbiage into their work contract to basically absolve themselves of any liability for their mistakes so they can blame the customer... which to me screams scam so proceed with caution. When the cabinets are delivered and are not the right size, they do not automatically consider what was actually received by the customer (only after much back and forth), and instead only seriously consider what was recorded in their contract which they will use to escape having to correct any actual mistakes with the cabinets. In total I waisted ~$25,530 on these cabinets from Tart which includes the price to install them ($4,400), but not even the fee to deliver them which was ~ $200. I'll have to hire another company to come in and fix everything - possibly removing and replacing bad cabinets.

I will not bother to recount our extremely poor experience when we purchased 7 French Doors several years ago. I had one of their experts come to the home to measure the door frames so that if there were a problem they could not blame me for an incorrect measurement. Surprise surprise when one of the doors did not fit, this after the original door had been removed leaving a gaping hole in our living room wall. It took 5 weeks to receive the correct replacement. BTW, they wanted full payment before the new one arrived. I told them that I would have AMEX put the full amount on hold until the replacement arrived. That got their attention. Back to the current situation: When I visited the store to buy a replacement retention pin, the individual at the front counter was totally clueless. I then asked for the person who handles storm doors. Hilda wasn't in. Two voicemails were left on her line. I was not shocked when she did not respond. The good news is that the Anderson website parts dept. had the part. I should have gone there first rather than waste time with the indifferent and incompetent personnel at TW Perry. Stay away.

I fell in love at first sight with the large selection and attractive showroom. Unfortunately, like some bad, handsome beings, don't let the good looks fool you! At about 3:20 pm on Monday I checked in with a receptionist who seemed laid back, to say the least. I didn't waste her time because I knew exactly which stone I wanted. She walked me to the correct section, waved her hand at the row of slabs that fit my color scheme and left, which was okay. What was NOT okay is that she failed to say that ALL EXCEPT ONE OF THE SLABS WERE ALREADY SOLD! I wasted 25 minutes carefully matching, selecting, and photographing SKU tags among a bunch of UNAVAILABLE merchandise. When I returned to her to place my order, she nonchalantly made the disclosure that she should have made at the beginning! There was only ONE slab at the far end of the row available! Why didn't she say that in the first place?!? When I complained to her about her failure to provide vital information, she shrugged it off after making a lame excuse. I walked out without another word, extremely irritated by her dismissive attitude. I drove to the next store on my list, hoping I could get there before closing and make up for lost time. That next store, Cosmos Granite and Marble, proved to be delightful! Not as fancy, but with an even better selection of designer stone, and an extremely friendly salesman, whose knowledge is unsurpassed. I reserved 5 slabs of material from Cosmos and made plans to return for an amazing slab of exotic stone so crystalline that it can be backlit. MSI showed me that they do not care about treating prospective customers well. Don't waste your time at MSI! Learn from my pain! Go straight to Cosmos for great service and selection! Christian is organized, punctual, and he is a great person to work with- full of great ideas and suggestions. Dominion offers many styles and types of granite, quartz, etc. to choose from and they can move very quickly if needed. We came in with a deadline to get our kitchen done before a certain date that was about 5 weeks away and we were done within three weeks- very impressive! The installation team removed our old countertops and installed the new ones in just a matter of hours and they did an outstanding job. You can tell that Dominion is truly tops in their area of expertise and they only hire the best people, because it is very clear that everyone we came in contact with (even Izzy!) cares a great deal about what they do. Thank you, Christian and team- we are very pleased with how things worked out and we'll definitely recommend you to anyone who needs countertops- as a matter of fact, we've already told a few neighbors about you.

Clowns or Crooks - BOTH…read more I only needed two boxes of flooring for a small job. I needed it to match perfectly and since I purchased the other flooring here (for an entire level of the house) I felt this would be the best best for the small job to obtain the match. Here is the Crooks part - even though it was a very small order I was charged the same shipping fee as if it were a large order. So, as I see it they combine multiple small orders and make money hand over fist by screwing the customer (a repeat customer at that!). No amount of negotiation would change their mind. Now for the Clowns part. I get the email that my order is ready for pickup at the Dulles location. I go there and the person helping me has no idea about the order "I don't know anything about it" says he. I give him the name on the order telling him it's for my house. He says no, I need the name of the company it's for. I say again...I bought it for my house. I BOUGHT IT. Not a company. ME. I show him the email, he no one by that name works here and calls the MD location to try to find out something about the order and (now 20 min later) finally enlists the help of another clueless person who also knows nothing about the order and tells me it's not here. Luckily he shows Suzanne the paperwork and she says "Yeah, it's right over there". Numbskull 2 goes and puts eyes on the order. Tells me it is here and to drive around back past the yellow ramp to the second open bay and it will be brought to me. I follow his instruction and after 5 min of watching some guy drive a forklift around (through all his back and forth I kept saying to myself OK, he's getting my order). The forklift driver finally stops and asks if he can help me. I tell him I'm here to pick up an order. He says did they give you a ticket? I say no, I was told to drive back here past the yellow ramp to the second open bay door so, here I am. He is all puzzled and mutters something about no ticket. Another 5 min go by and he shows up with the order. All totaled, somewhere just shy of 45 min for a simple task that should have taken at most 10 min. Hat's off to Suzanne who saved the day for if she were not there I would have had no choice but to return home empty handed due to the incompetency of the other two workers. We called this sort of thing a Charlie Foxtrot in the Army. And that's exactly what this place is. A Charlie Foxtrot.
