HSP admitted that the completed work was valued at $500+ but kept the extra $800+ because the contract was flat fee. I complained to the credit card company which said too bad, the contract was valid when I signed it. So, now we have to go to Small Claims Court to reverse HSP's profiteering. You have so many choices for good plumbers. I advise avoiding HSP. They have a pretty good scheme for making a lot of money but it sure doesn't seem remotely fair to me. Who knowingly pays a plumber $1399 for 75 minutes of work? STAY AWAY!

We also wanted to get a new countertop, which they do not do, but Luis referred us to someone else who was equally as responsive and efficient. The whole project took under one month from getting a quote to finishing the job. We were very pleased with the process! One thing to note is that while the quote is indeed on the lower end of what is out there, the work might not be considered absolute perfection. (e.g. paint might be a touch uneven in some areas; some difficult corners of kitchen have a bit of a rougher cut on the tile but still patched with grout) For me though, it was not an issue because I do still think the job was worth 5 stars for the value. Just know what you are paying for!
