I have since used them a few times and I have to agree, they are stellar. I wouldn't consider anyone else. There are several things where they stand out: a) Highly competent and get the job done right the first time - including good troubleshooting skills b) Super reasonable prices c) Reasonable availability d) Morris is one of the most decent people you will meet. He's the kind of guy I would feel comfortable with leaving a house key with. It's good to work with someone like him so is good to the core. If you are looking for a plumber in the Northern Virginia area, I would highly recommend Workhouse Plumbing.

I also appreciate the prompt response and the effort taken to arrive at my home in a timely manner. I paid to have my ceiling cut open in order to identify a water-leak issue coming from the upstairs hallway bathroom tub. Prior to the inspection, excessive water had been pouring from the living-room light fixture, so it was reasonable to expect the leak to originate from above. The technicians cut the ceiling in four separate areas; however, they reported that no water was coming from the tub, which I find unusual given the severity of the leak because we have a video proof which shows different. That said, I would have appreciated greater discretion could be exercised when communicating certain details to customers on invoice. Given the current economic climate and the fact that many individuals, including myself, are paying out-of-pocket, these situations can already be highly stressful. In such circumstances, it is important to consider whether all information being conveyed is necessary or beneficial for the customer to hear at that moment. If this were one's own home assessment, a more thoughtful and measured approach might be preferred. Because even minor details can influence the outcome of an assessment, sharing information that may not be essential can create additional worry and uncertainty. While transparency is valued, balancing it with sensitivity is equally important to ensure a positive customer experience. In addition, the drywall cuts was left behind for us to clean up ourselves. I was not informed that cleanup would not be included in the cut fee, and I feel this should have been clarified in advance. Nevertheless, I trust that the team has provided excellent service to many clients, and I am confident that the process will ultimately result in a favorable outcome. Responding to the owner's message on Google reviews on December 12, 2025 I would like to provide clarification regarding the technician's recent visit to service our bathroom. Prior to the appointment, we removed the shower curtain along with several other bathroom items to ensure the technician had full access to the area. This is the same approach we used in the living room, where we temporarily removed furniture such as sofas and tables to allow appropriate workspace. How dare you imply that I was attempting to deceive the insurance company. If that had been my intention, I would have asked for the statement to be removed entirely. Instead, I simply asked what relevance it had regarding the shower curtain l, considering your technician made no mention of my living room furniture being moved from its usual location. It struck me as highly inconsistent and frankly, odd that he specifically pointed out the absence of a shower curtain when other items were also temporarily relocated to allow him to work. This is precisely why I contacted your office for clarification. The detail included in the report was neither relevant nor reflective of the actual circumstances. When asked whether I wanted the note removed, I chose to leave it only to avoid appearing deceitful not because the notation made sense or was necessary. I hope this provides clear context and helps prevent similar misunderstandings in future service visits. Thank you

I reached out to Randal for a replacement quote with a picture, and at 10pm at night, he promptly provided me a detailed description of the piping, and explained that he had in fact been the one to conduct the work on this piping years in the past (I assume he remembered the job simply from the picture??). The supply line is not a concern, and the fitting in question was actually a runoff drain line that was not under pressure. Randal, then explained that as the new owner, the 10 year parts and labor warranty transfers to me. Thanks for the honest and detailed response at no charge!

But a great plumber is only good if you can get a response from them. I've been dealing with him for several years now. Consistently I've had to message repeatedly, call repeatedly. On occasion - as the first time I contacted him probably in 2023 - he answers the phone himself, and provides info on what he thinks the problem is. And he does phenomenal work. After a few years of being a good customer, patient, paying on time, never objecting to pricing, I **STILL** cannot get a response from him. One issue is that he's a one man show. It's him, or no one. His wife is lovely and accompanies him at times. Very knowledgeable herself. About 4 weeks ago I initiated contact and he responded immediately via text. Great, I thought. Then nothing. After a few more messages checking in, he said there was a family medical situation. I gave him space, and here we are two weeks and yet another text message to him later, and nothing. Nada. And still a leaking well tank. C'mon. Do better. We are done, hope you sort yourself out with other customers - I've seen several other people have had the same experience.

We pushed off the replacement thinking our unit would survive one more winter, but of course of furnace went out unexpectedly in the middle of the night during one of the coldest stints of the season. Called Residential Express the following morning, they pulled up my quote from 4 months prior, verified the price hadn't changed and were able to schedule me for a full HVAC replacement the next day. Freddie and Flavian arrived on time and were very professional moving through our house and working in our backyard and utility closet. They explained any changes they needed to make, went over the new setup and recommended service intervals, and hauled all of the old equipment away, leaving our house looking better than when they arrived. Very happy with our experience with Residential Express and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Literally wearing a sweater and two sweater wraps. New HVAC filter, reset breaker. Thermostat batteries are fine. Still not kicking on. Sent Yelp message to RES because they have always been quick to respond. And they did this time as well and the woman who gave me a call was nice and tried to help. Pretty disappointed that they can't quickly swing by today. From what I've read, it's likely a dirty flame sensor or the ignitor switch (neither of which is a long job - I just don't have the tools). HVAC less than 5 years old, so parts are under warranty with RES; however, I had to call someone else. Bottom line: Someone else is coming today, but I could end up paying for parts. Kind of feels like my current needs weren't lucrative enough for RES to make a concerted effort to swing by.
