Also personal recordings of the show (that a lady kept doing With her FLASH on!!!) was REALLY super frustrating as 'they' were already 'professionally' recording it anyways?!! Otherwise the SLO Orchestra did a FABULOUS job accompanying all of VCBs beautiful and talented dancers!! Hopefully next year there will be less 'commotion' so we can enjoy this once in a year production without sooo many disruptions!!

I was already in tears at this point because I was looking forward to this concert and he was making me feel bad for purchasing fake tickets which wasn't my fault. After driving almost 2 hours for this concert being treated like that was insane, I asked him nicely if there was anything I could do and he didn't even look at me just said No, and looked at his phone so I broke down in tears I don't care I was frustrated very rude.

This venue brings back a lot of good memories and the theater interior is definitely cool and vintage, giving a really solid vibe and old time feel. The positives are that the security working the front always seems to be nice. They do their mandatory searches and I appreciate the effort to enforce safety. I've never minded being pat down or having bags checked, in this day and age it seems reasonable. Staff here overall are nice from the security, to the wristband guy, to the bartenders. The venue is intimate and easy to navigate once inside. I appreciate the size and that they do have seating options if you need upstairs. I'd never go up there but glad there is some separation by having two floors. They do a pretty good job of updating their website and social media accounts that I can gauge their shows way in advance which is nice and appreciated. Ticket prices are average, usually more than $30 but not too expensive. The cons are similar to what others wrote. The sound could be better for sure. Also the floors are always sticky and gross up by the bar, even if only shortly after opening. It's definitely way too hot in here. I get it's a small venue and concert goers will always feel a bit hot or stuffy but here it's always extreme to me. I really wish they would update their air systems. I always leave here unnecessarily drenched. I guess now I just chalk it up to being apart of the experience. Last room for improvement is get rid of the $20 bar minimum for debit/credit cards. I really would love to just buy one beer. Paying with a card now I always have to buy two to hold or at least buy one for a friend and then they get the next round. Not terrible but inconvenient. Most venues have gone away from taking cash post Covid and that honestly moves the crowd along faster at concerts so I do think they are a little behind the times to still be taking cash or basically punishing you that if you want to use your card you have to pay more? It's not the end of the world but every time I come here I forget and get a little annoyed that I have to dish out extra money when really I just want one beer at a time. Maybe that will change with time but if it hasn't by now post Covid, I doubt it will. Definitely this place has its pros and cons, like most music venues do. Out of 50+ reviews I have done, this is one of two negative reviews so it shows that I like to usually give props rather than poor reviews. Our group was seated together once everyone arrived, and we all ordered well within the stated two-item minimum (most of us ordered 2-4 items each). Unfortunately, one person's food never came out with the rest of ours. When we asked about it, we were told it was "coming" from another window, yet someone who ordered the exact same item after us--with the same server--received theirs at least 20 minutes earlier. When the food finally arrived, it was after the rest of us had finished eating--and it was cold. To make matters worse, the food that wasn't eaten was taken away by staff while they were clearing tables. When we asked to speak with a manager, things only got worse. Tracey was extremely combative and unprofessional. She accused my friend of eating the food, refused to address the group, and insisted on only speaking to the person who ordered. She also claimed that when the server brought the food, it was said to be hot and they cleared an empty plate--which was simply not true. In reality, my friend had only taken a few bites, and even a server had asked if she wanted a box--so the accusations and statements being made were completely inaccurate and quite demeaning. We weren't expecting anything to be comped--we simply wanted the mistake acknowledged and handled appropriately. Instead, the "solution" was a 10% discount on that one item (about $1.70), which hadn't even been eaten. On top of that, the bill included an extra item we didn't order, and instead of applying the available duo option, items were charged individually, increasing the total unnecessarily. After we agreed to pay (even the unnecessary upcharges) and thought the situation was over, Tracey stood at the end of our row watching us and giving us a stink eye, which felt incredibly uncomfortable and unprofessional. How would you feel if you are being glared at as if we were in the wrong??? I've worked in customer service, and this was one of the worst managerial interactions I've ever experienced. Tracey was unapologetic, dismissive, and downright rude. No customer should be treated this way. I will say our server was kind and seemed genuinely apologetic, which made it clear the issue was not with the waitstaff but with management. I sincerely feel bad for the employees who have to deal with the fallout from this kind of behavior. The event itself has potential, but the service--especially from management--was unacceptable. I would not return if this manager doesn't get better training and learns that some people are genuinely telling the truth and they should be kind in return.

They have a great community, classes are fun, and all of the folks (staff + other students) are friendly. I just so happen to have signed up when they were running a promotion and signed up for the more classes immediately. I have been going for the past couple of months and always leave feeling good about the class. There was a full blown show at the end of the season in Majestic theatre. That was fun to see all of the other classes (adults and children) . Highly recommend visiting. Meredith and team are awesome!
