The restaurant had a great ambience, defiantly needs a reservation because it's always crowded. The ambience had the cocktails and bites atmosphere. The bites were decent.
The service was great, we had a bar top seat and our bar tender was amazing, answered all my questions and made great suggestions, she was super friendly and made the whole experience memorable.
All the food was mostly great, cooked to perfection, flavored well.
We tried the cucumber salad with Xavier cream (€6), I didn't like that but my friend did, there was focaccia with olive oil (€4), that wasn't bad either.
For the mains we had the elk and fried kale (~€38), that was great, cooked to perfection, tender, flavorful and the fried kale was definitely crunchy and soft at the same time super great dish.
The other dish was monk fish with artichokes and a creamy sauce (~€34), the monk fish had a lobster take texture, super meaty, I guess it's good? But I was expecting a flaky fish, so I wasn't really in for the surprise myself, the artichokes were crispy and soft at the same time, super delicious, best part of the dish, the creamy sauce was very heavy but delicious.
We had a side of lettuce salad (€6), it was dressed and super good, it was light and refreshing and brought out the flavors of the main dish.
Finally the dessert was a pumpkin baked Alaska (~€12), is wasn't bad, the only thing is, the pumpkin ice cream was a bit crystallized and the torched meringue wasn't really that crispy.
It was about (€120) for two people without drinks.
All in all it was a good experience, but not the best of the best in dublin. read more
