Just arrived in Dublin & this was the closest place to our Airbnb so we gave it a try this morning. They made my husband a breakfast sandwich to order and I had their soaked oats with fresh fruit. Delicious all and the guys who waited on us were so friendly & helpful. Lots of beautiful pastries and breads as well that of course we had to have to take back. Terrific cafe and we will return.

Breakfast sandwich!

Just so happens this place is very close to where I live, and it just so happens to be awesome. I'm very lucky to have this so conveniently close, but I would definitely seek it out even if it were farther! I've enjoyed many things from their menu, particularly love the Falafel wrap which is fried up to order so it's hot and crispy and delicious, and all of the veg and sauce make it super fresh. The Brekkie Sandwich is to DIE for, the ciabatta is so fluffy and fresh, and it has an amazing red pepper aioli. Trying their brown bread in the Meat Brekkie made us buy a loaf to take home, it's so tasty. I've loved all the sweets I've tried here, everything is moist and not overly sweet which is a common problem with most places. The cinnamon roll, carrot cake and cheese cake are my particular favs. Their iced lattes are also delicious, great coffee. Prices are great (for the specials they're even better) and so are the portions, you'll get stuffed no matter what you order but leave room for something sweet if you can, everything is fab! I did find their pancakes underwhelming (pretty sure I only got half a banana on mine) but everything else has been great. Service is ok, the place is often busy so it's sometimes noisy and hectic but it hasn't kept us from stopping by on the way home or on our way out.

The full Irish.

Yeah, not a bad little spot. Stopped in in a Sunday for lunch a few weeks back. Was busy enough. Got a table out the back. And open but covered area with heaters. Service was fast and the staff were nice. I went for the full Irish, which was ok. Eggs were good, bacon was nice I left nothing in the plate. The only thing I thought was out of place was the Guinness brown bread, it was nice just not really a full Irish component. Didn't really think much of the coffee. A little out of the way for me and not really exciting enough to bring me back again.

These poor people basically feed me at the weekend. Hungover? The breakfast sandwich will sort you out. Feeling fancy? Sumptuous eggs benedict should do the trick. The one thing I'm always ordering in Noshington is their excellent coffee, sometimes accompanied by one of their many sweet options (bakewell slice ftw). Value hunters should pay attention to their daily hot pot special at €5 take away. Hott.

Big brekkie!

This little Cafe deserves a lot more love than it's getting. Everything here is great quality. The coffee is excellent, the cakes and pastries are top notch, and their food is great as well. And on weekends, everything gets even better. The brunch menu is an excellent option at great value. The breakfast sandwich is pretty much my go-to for a Saturday morning semi-hungover late breakfast. I live nearby, but I would still be coming here if I didn't.

Cosy ole cafe that sings to me with a great menu and a cake display to die for! Menu has some great sandwich/salad options but also has some great warm hearty food t choose from. At the weekend, their brunch menu also is extremely popular. Staff are friendly and service, from seating to order to clearing table was great... For me the only down side was that trying to pay took so long, we ended up walking up to the counter which was crazy busy too. They handle the busy trade here well in terms of ordering and food coming from he kitchen which is great don't get me wrong however you have to also give time to those looking to wrap up and hit the road! No matter how much you try, you will not make it out of the door without grabbing a cake slice to go! Check out the pics, they are amazing! Oh and a shout to their seating space out back, during the winter they have it covered and heaters are on full blast however during the summer, this awning is pulled back and you brunch is a great garden space.

Carrot cakevand coffee. 2 forks. Just had radion at st. James's Hospital. Perfect treat.

Ive eaten here many times but not for a couple of years. I guess its a hipster cafe. The food is excellent. Fresh salads with great ingredients. Lovely staff and outside seating. Its close to St. James hospital so if you are hungry for some decent healthy food as opposed to the mush on sale in the hospital this is just down the road. After a year of hospital food this is important to me. Today we had coffee and carrot cake. Loved the icing and the coffee was perfect. Ill definitely be back.

If you will look around there is not really great location, but this place is something unreal. My last year in university I will definitely come once a day, I promise ;) Yea right? The food is awesome, staff is amazing, coffee is soooo good, what else do u need for perfect one?

Eggs Benedict... Yummmmers!!

I'm not really sure why ppl are rating this place so low... I just love it!! I have come here few times and the staff is really attentive and the food is delicious!! I love the back area if you go with kids or even if you don't (i don't have any myself). The eggs Benedict are absolutely delicious and the coffee nice and strong just the way I like it... I will definitely coming back... maybe to try their new dinner menu...

Noshington Cafe, on Washington St

Ms D, maybe it was luck of the day you went there? But I've eaten there lots of times and always have enjoyed the food. High quality and very tasty. And the service super. Good value too! And generous helpings for the deserts - although perhaps too much to eat sometimes. Once I did get a dodgy waiter, he slapped food on the table a little rough, but I think they were stuck for help and he wasn't trained. Haven't seen him serving for some time, so maybe they got feedback? All in all though I love the place!

The portion sizes kind of seem small but that could be because my girlfriend and I split everything and it was basically a couple of bites from each other's dishes. We got the blueberry lemon pancakes, and a meat dish for the needed protein, so one savory and one sweet, the way breakfast is meant to be worshipped and devoured simultaneously. Beautiful, small place that gets packed very quickly. Interestingly enough I thought it was a French bistro, but I believe the owners hail from Ukraine as that is the country flag that was hung outside the shape if my world history learnings are correct. I cannot recommend this place highly enough and would come back in a New York minute if I get the chance to visit Dublin again. As always people SYOY!!!

I do wish the bacon side had 2 slices but it only comes with 1. My husband had French crepes with blueberry supreme topping and an order of the potato fritters, which is its own meal. I had hot tea and he had a cappuccino. Be reminded that this is a European sized cup not a giant American size. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals so much so that I left no scraps on my plate. My husband didn't finish his fritters that have avocado on them bc he's not a fan of avocado. He forgot to ask that they be removed. His fault. Very nice young staff. I wish that we had discovered this restaurant sooner bc we would have eaten breakfast there again but we discovered it on our second to last day.

If you're dining in, you order at the counter and get a table number to place wherever you decide to sit. There's plenty of seating inside which is a plus. What I got: -Potato danish- savory; slight salty, crispy flakey layers. -Sausage roll- slightly salty for my preference, but has a very crispy crust and a meaty sausage in the middle. We went back a second time on our trip and got a few more pastries, all of which were very delicious. The pastries were hot, flakey, glistening, delicate, and perfectly sweet on both visits. I would definitely come back if I were to visit Dublin again.

I didn't wait more than 5/10 minutes. I grabbed a couple of different things for us to try -- the focaccia, morning bun, salted caramel roll, and the cinnamon roll. My favorite was easily the focaccia, which could compete with the best I had in Italy -- so good. The morning bun was good, but nothing crazy exciting. The salted caramel roll had to be the least caramel-y caramel roll I've ever had, but it didn't taste bad and the salted part was interesting (in a good way!). The Cinnamon roll was unique, which I appreciate. It had a big glob of cream cheese frosting (too much for me, but I imagine it would float a lot of folks' boats) and some orange flavoring! I quite liked the orange. I wanted to get a matcha to go, but they said they didn't have disposable cups. You could buy a 5 euro reusable one and then if you brought it back you'd get a refund... interesting, but I was leaving that day and wouldn't be back in the area. I can't speak to the ambiance because we were in and out, but it looked like they had a decent amount of space. All in all, I would recommend this place! For me it was a 4, but I'm sure for some it would bop up to a 5.

Sunken below street level it feels more off the main path and you have to keep your eyes out to find it easily. Walking in the place has a real chill and cozy vibe up front. I was seated right way and ordered off their all day menu. I got their Double Baked eggs, brown soda bread, bacon, sausage and roast tomato. For my tastes the double baked eggs were overdone, but that's double baked for you. Everything else was so delicious though that I truly didn't even notice. It was a wonderful pile of meat overflowing out of a little skillet with a stack of soda bread and butter. Truly it was a delight. I also ordered up their irish coffee. This was especially fun because it's not a simple shot of whiskey, coffee and cream. They create a brown sugar syrup blended with the whiskey to cook off the alcohol but retain the flavor. This means you can day drink and not even bat an eye at it being strange. The flavor was delicious and I'll be trying to recreate this at home for sure.

Visiting Ireland for the first time, I did my best to read up on good places to grab breakfast,…read morebaked goods in Dublin and Brother Hubbard popped up on a few lists, Reddit posts, so I put it on my list to try and I'm glad I did! I walked in on a Wednesday morning, right as they opened at 9am, and was seated immediately. The sit-in part of Brother Hubbard is bright, relaxing, spacious with plenty of tables inside and there's a patio outside with plenty of tables as well. The waitress came over with a menu and gave me plenty of time to look it over. She was very courteous and pleasant, checking in throughout my time there, never hovering. For breakfast, I ordered an Americano, a ginger scone, and their Irish Oat Porridge - Classic. Their porridge is organic oats made with milk and with ordering it as "Classic", it was served with cream and honey. Starting with the ginger scone, this was another case of a perfectly baked scone - Crispy, golden exterior with a moist, buttery interior. The flavor of ginger was perfectly balanced and the raisins inside were a nice supplement to the scone. The porridge was really good, I loved the creaminess of it! Both did a nice job of filling me up and setting me up for the day of walking to come. Funny enough, around 3:30pm, I stopped here again to grab a mid-afternoon treat and ordered the chocolate and hazelnut Babka, their soft bun filled with chocolate and toasted hazelnuts. This pastry was crazy tasty! A slightly crispy exterior with a croissant-like inside chocked full of chocolate and those toasted hazelnuts. This was so rich and truly decadent. Brother Hubbard is a gem of a breakfast and pastry spot! I appreciate the relaxing café environment with friendly staff and high-quality food. I visited Brother Hubbard on a Sunday, half an hour after it opened and was able to be seated immediately. However, the brunch rush came afterwards and by the time I left, the entire place was filled. It's popular. And yes, it's the same spot Phil Rosenthal ate at. I even saw the owner who was featured on the show here, helping out with clearing tables and so forth. I ordered the traditional Irish breakfast and an iced chai latte. The food was good and actually, not as heavy as I anticipated. It came with an egg, sausage, bacon, beans and a pudding, which I had to look up. It's ground meat with oats and is molded into a patty. It didn't taste bad, so can see why it's served around these parts of the world. And the meal also came with another item I had to look up, colcannon bread, which was a potato bread with kale. And it was my favorite part of the breakfast! Delicious. If you're looking for a breakfast spot in Dublin, then I'm pretty sure you already know about Brother Hubbard, which is popular, all for good reason.
