Sad cheeseburger

Second time ordering a cheeseburger here - the grill is too hot because the outside is burnt and it's undercooked. When you send it back to be cooked they literally char the crap out of it, including the cheese and send it back out and it's expensive!

An option that was not offered to the table.

Went into the establishments at 4:50 with my adult sons and it was before the dinner rush. We were promptly served water and bread. However it took till 5:25 for our drink orders to be taken. I ordered the chicken piccata that was delicious. My sons ordered the bacon pizza and the Cuban. Pizza had very little bacon and it Market basket pizza hot and fresh is better than the pizza that evening. My oldest was just hungry and ate it. Also he ordered a skull drink and the black salt was on the back of the drink where hands were. The drink was all ice, two sips most with a wine floater. Asked for a vodka upgrade on the floater and it couldn't be done. The point of a floater, is to be added on the top of a drink. For $16, it should of had less ice and more of a drink. The waitress said it was pre made. Very disappointing. The atmosphere was clean, however the server was annoyed and she had just started her shift. Tip reflected service. The Nashua establishment is much more proficient in service. First come should be first waited on and not last. Very disappointed. Also, specials and promotions were not even mentioned.

Scallops

Average Joes is just average like they say. Scallops were boring, scallops on a skewer cooked over a flame and then served with brown rice and broccoli was just okay. Best item is their coconut breaded fried shrimp. Crab cakes were average but tasty enough. Even my ice cream sundae could use better ice cream and hot fudge as it tasted like the ingredients came from the supermarket.

The food is not good, tries to be fancy and misses the boat. Nothing about this place warrants another visit.

We expressed disappointment, but they then checked with the Kitchen staff and said sure if you order right away we would be happy to serve you. We were thrilled! We ordered drinks and had food, and it was all wonderful. We loved the speakeasy, vibe, the custom cocktails, and the impressive and carefully curated alcohol options at the bar. The service was wonderful and friendly. We thought, oh great, this is going to be our go to place in town, we'll be here frequently! Our next visit was completely different. I called ahead of time to check on availability, mention that we prefer to sit at the bar, and confirm that they do not take reservations at the bar, but that there were tables available. So we had it in. When we arrived, we clearly saw at least four open seats at the bar. But we were informed that those seats were reserved. I mentioned that I had just called to confirm that there were seats available and confirmed that bar seats could not be reserved. Well, that was perplexing. And there was no genuine apology, no mention that they might be sorry about the confusion, let us see what we can do... Ultimately, the hostess, did checked with some folks and found that there was a table that we could have. So we sat down for our meal. The service this night was decidedly different, and we couldn't help feeling like we'd forced our way into a private club that we really weren't welcomed at. That was a few months ago, and we haven't been back since.

The band played just the right rhythm and sound to enhance, but not interrupt, our meal. The food is great for sharing or for hoarding ;). I meant to take a picture of our chocolate dessert but we dug in before I had a chance. We sat at the bar and had great conversation with the bartender/owner and the other guests. The ambience of this quaint jazz bar and restaurant is simply amazing. Would recommend it to anyone in Acton or passing through!

The place was quiet, which allowed Ben to sirens time talking to us and giving is the ones and outs of his creations. Our server was Sienna, who was bright and personable, and worked side by side with Chef Ben to make our meal memorable. We started our meal with oysters. Chef gave us his recommendations and they were has delicious as he hyped them up to be. Then we tried the lobster guacamole, which the star of the shows was actually the bacon lardon that's layered in. A must try for anyone who loves this dip. I had the pineapple braised pulled pork tacos. I could barely finish two, yet alone the 3 healthy sized tacos. And my girlfriend was treated to both the crab cake and the specialty salmon cakes. She proclaimed the salmon the winner of that cake battle. For desert, which we didn't finish either, was the berry cobbler. I compared it to an oversized toaster strudel, but homemade and much more flavorful. Overall, we love it here. This is our 2nd trip and we'll be sure to come again soon! Pro Tip: sit at the Oyster Bar, watching the kitchen working is a phenomenal experience. Thank you again to Chef Ben and Sienna! And look, they also have events coming up!!

Last night I had the steakhouse burger (partner had the same) with sweet potato fries and a glass of their house red. All very good, I would gladly come back for these items. My partner was also happy with his meals both times. The service was wonderful! It was a crowded Friday night, and the bar was full, but we were able to order our wine right away thanks to the attentive bartenders. There is also a cool vibe like an upscale sports bar. Unfortunately, the food in Littleton was terrible and the service a bit unfriendly. My favorite salmon bowl had overcooked dry salmon, barely any avocado (like only a few tiny cubes) and the sauce was just dumped on it. It was marginally edible. The usually friendly service was not. I tried to get the attention of one waitress from the adjacent table to all ask a simple question. She walked by me twice without stopping. And, on the third time, she told me "I can't help you I'm not your server." The restaurant management needs to come here and up the game.

The room was nice and it was just fun to be in a historic place. Highly recommend. If you end up with a burger, which was fantastic, sub the sweet potato fries. The Indian pudding was a great nostalgic dessert to have -- it tasted like a thick pumpkin pie, but with a bit of a chai type spice and topped with delicious vanilla ice cream. Honestly next time I might order these as my entree with a salad or something because I liked them that much. For my entree I ordered the Lobster Roll. I ordered them with sweet potato fries which were good. The lobster roll was alright but I've had better elsewhere. I did really like the fries though. Ended with an Indian pudding which was good but not my favorite dessert ever. Heard a bunch of surrounding tables ordering it so I wanted to try it. They bring you cornbread and rolls in the beginning which I thought was nice as well. Our waitress did a good job despite how many tables she had to juggle, so props to her. Pricey dinner but overall I think it was worth it. I would try another entree next time however it was good. I like the charm this place has inside and I hope they keep it this original for years to come.
