Iced Honey Latte
Cameron N.

I always judge a latte by how good it is straight off the menu and BABY, this was the first time in my life i've been this pleased. I got the iced honey latte and it's gonna be hard for me to come up off of her. I came in to work on a Monday afternoon and there was plenty of seating. It's a small shop, but still manages to feel open by utilizing the majority of the space with one large table in the center, and then more personal tables in an L - shape around the border. I ordered with no wait and my drink was ready in a flash. I did not try any food just yet, but I'm absolutely stoked that they serve Korean food. Such a cute little shop, I'll be running it back all summer.

Kimchi Fried Rice

Cute spot to work remotely from! It was the perfect amount of sunlight to shade so my eyes didn't feel strained haha. Opted for the kimchi fried rice and a flat white. The rice was fine- I do wish It had some type of unique take on it (maybe spam or bacon or even mozzarella) but it was great portion sizes. Big fan of the coffee and will probably come back just for it- they roast it in house and it's clear that they take their coffee seriously!

LOX bagel

First stop in New York and I am very pleased! I heard New York's got the best bagels over Cali & I agree! I got the LOX bagel and breakfast wrap with bacon. Drinks: Hot Honey Latte Cold brew with Carmel (AMAZING)

Gluten free tacos and gluteny sandwiches! Eggs are always good!

It looks like a bar but breakfast was gluten free and tasty! Strong coffee, breakfast tacos and a bright window. I'll be back

Cheddar and chive scone

I'm always on the hunt for great cafes to work at, and I really enjoyed Nostrand. I had a chai and a cheddar chive biscuit and they were both great. There's also a fairly extensive food menu available. There is wifi available and plenty of seating, but did not see many outlets! Overall a great spot for breakfast or an afternoon coffee.

Bibimbap with Kimchi

Absolutely darling place! Has seating by the windows as well as a large cute picnic type table in the center of the floor. (Heads up, right now they're allowing 1 hour indoor seating) I ordered a Bibimbap with Kimchi and it was delicious. It was the perfect portion size and everything came out hot and just right. The hot sauce on the side was the perfect compliment! I only gave four stars because the smoothie (blueberry and banana w oat milk) was a little odd tasting. I'm not sure if maybe because it wasn't very cold, or if it was the ingredients, but I didn't enjoy it very much. Over all, I would definitely return and try some coffee options and definitely more food!

Bulgogi Platter with Beef

A solid 3.5 stars. Nostrand Cafe is footsteps away from where I grew up. Although I no longer live right around the corner it's still relatively easy for me to get to. The bulgogi bowl with beef, egg, avocado was tasty. The beef had a lot of flavor. The egg was cooked pretty hard. It would have been great to have a runny yolk which would have created a bit of a sauce and nicely coated the other ingredients. As it was, the dish as a whole was a bit dry. The tacos were fine but nothing I would I rush to order again. The space is very nice. There is a lot of natural light and I like the communal dining style with wood benches. I'm glad they're offering pick-up but I'm looking forward to when they open again. I would give Nostrand Cafe another shot because they were just shy of 4-stars for me. Next time I'll order breakfast because I hear their breakfast bowls are where it's at.

Kimchi and Kimchi Omelet With Bulgogi
Michelle C.

I went here solely for the kimchi omelette. Sadly, there wasn't enough flavor to this kimchi and the omelette was more like a lazy scramble. The side of bulgogi had good flavor. The potatoes could have been cooked a bit more to have more texture and crunch.

BLT Breakfast Sandwich & Strawberry Banana Smoothie for good measure
Sara K.

No outlets but delicious sandwiches! Sweet coffee cafe but with terrible parking, so good luck there. We came here to journal and do about an hour's worth of work in the morning. The cafe is small enough to wear there will most likely always be 1-2 people within view but large enough with enough seating to find privacy. I'd recommend but again, no outlets!

Seating is a little small, so any parties of 4 or larger probably require a reservation. The food came out fairly quickly. We ordered the Tteokbokki. The dish was purposely cooked to be crispier than what you would normally expect, it was very delicious. The jjapaguri was flavorful and the meat and seafood was great. The main course of crab fried rice was amazing. Poured over a sizzling pan, the waiter made sure we had time to get our phones ready. The dish stirred and seasoned well and had a nice fresh taste. Our dessert was black bean and vanilla, which was refreshing and a generous quantity. Overall, our experience here was amazing and would recommend for anyone wanting high class Korean fair.

I ordered the Strawberry…read morefields cocktail that contained vodka, yuja honey, strawberry, lemon which was pretty nice and sweet and not bitter at all. It was literally the only thing I enjoyed. In terms of food, I mainly went for the crab fried rice. It was decent but rice were kinda burnt and crab was minimal for the extra $7 weeks added for king crab. The chicken karaage was in small pieces and had whack batter. The wild mushroom pajeon was not good at all.

Happy to report that I was pleasantly surprised! Almost everything we ordered was delicious! Both Korean Fried Chicken orders had good flavor and great for sharing. I rarely see Soy Ginger as an option (usually it's Soy Garlic) but I like the slight sharpness it added to each bite. The Seafood Pancake was crispy, loaded with seafood, and paired nicely with the ponzu. The Slow Loris Roll was incredible! The rice ratio was just right, there was a good variety of fish and it was all fresh, the avocado and sauces added nice creaminess, and torching the roll was the cherry on top. The Spicy Bulgogi Fried Rice with Cheese was super savory, the sunnyside egg was cooked perfectly, and the portion was solid. I didn't care for the cheese and honestly could've done without and not noticed. It did need something to cut through the richness. I did enjoy the Beef Galbi much more! It is brought to the table sizzling and smelling amazing. It's savory, sweet, and smoky. I like that it's paired with kimchi & rice making this is complete meal. All in all, I was impressed with everything here! We were also a large party (7 people) yet everything was served correctly and in a timely fashion. Definitely recommend stopping by!
